The Bluebird Nest: A Mountain Retreat

Lyle Jr.Rating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place is very secluded in the woods, very scenic! I saw a bunch of deer! It was very clean, WiFi was in and out, not a great signal downstairs where the bedroom is. Place was very clean, great for my short stay. One thing, which Michele did warn beforehand, there is no cell service for a mile or 2 when coming in. Waze took me up Howell Rd, which is not correct! If you are coming from the south on Rebels Creek Rd go past Howell and then a left on Castanea St. Very easy once I figured that out. Also make sure to get groceries beforehand. Your only real option is the Walmart in Spruce Pine, the Ingles has been closed since the hurricane. Overall a great stay! All brand new appliances and very pleasant! A+ Will definitely stay here again!

Roaring Fork Chalet Long Range Views Mt Mitchell

NicoleRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Loved staying in this unique house with my family! The mountain roads to get there could be a little intimidating for someone who has never really driven in the mountains before (I’m originally from FL), but you can adapt quickly. The bed upstairs was ridiculously comfortable, the house was clean, the area was very peaceful/quiet, and you’re fairly close to everything. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Retro Camper in the forest.

Stephanie was a super host. She made us feel welcome and helped us at every turn. She was clear about the way the Hurricane damaged the bridge to get to the camper. Stephanie provided help when we were moving out and was very gracious! We are volunteering and she invited us o her thanksgiving dinner! She made us pasta salad and pumpkin pie! It’s been great staying here. We were here during the early winter and Stephanie made certain we were warm. Thanks so much for having us Stephanie!

Private Vineyard Getaway!

DianaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This home is beautifully designed. From the floor plan to the decor- it's such a clean relaxing place. The location is peaceful and private with a view of the small vineyard which reminded us of Italy. The beds were comfortable and the linens are great quality! The closets had plenty of towels with extra pillows and blankets. The kitchen was stocked with anything needed to cook along with some items to use in the pantry. Courtney and Reese are amazing hosts. They provided us all information we needed to access and enjoy the home. Any questions we had were answered with a quick replies. Truly a pleasant experience and would love to stay here again.

A-Frame of Mind Mountain River Cabin B

DawnRating, 5 starstoday
We had a wonderful time - the place was very clean and welcoming and extremely charming. Great view of the river. Quite isolated and super quiet. Perfect place for a long weekend to go hiking, visit the local shops and restaurants, and a short trip to Asheville for a bigger town. Andrew was very responsive and offered great suggestions. We would recommend staying here highly!

Mtn Views, Hot Tub, WiFi, Fireplace, River & More!

MelindaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
This home is situated on the top of a mountain with beautiful views and a harrowing driveway. We had a 15 passenger van and it was a little nerve wracking but worth it. The lodge is beautiful and comfortable- love the chairs and couch in the living room. The basement area was the kids’ favorite with lots of games and things to do. We didn’t get to explore the property because we were there volunteering and assisting in hurricane relief, but would love to come back and spend more time there. The gas fireplace in the dining area was our fave. The nights were chilly and that really helped. The kitchen is large and has plenty of countertop space, which came in handy for preparing meals to serve to people in the community (about 250 people). One thing I want to note: the blankets they had available were wonderful! I’ve never been to a place that had so many. Perfect for snuggling up after a long day! Pillows on the beds were great, too.

Pvt Mtn View Cabin w/ Private Heated Pool and Spa

BlairRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was our 2nd time staying. It gets better every time. The pool was new this year and what a great addition. Wish it would have been a little warmer while we were there but my niece still enjoyed it. The place itself is gorgeous and the view is mesmerizing!!! It is stocked with everything you could possibly need from games to kitchen needs. They even leave a thoughtful basket of goodies for the guests. The hot tub is the best relaxation and the couch is big and comfy to watch a good movie. Even checkout is simple and easy here. Austin is always nice and helpful with quick responses and is always a pleasure to stay with. The surrounding families at the bottom of the hill are so sweet, waving as you come and go. Really makes you feel at home! If you are looking for the perfect place to get away, hit the book button!!! Not one thing will disappoint! Can’t wait until we can have another Momma and girls get away here. ♥️
