Lovely place near the train station. ideal for easy commute to city centre. pub and coop within 10/15 mins walk, also on bus route if you that rather than train. house was clean and perfect for a few nights stay. responded quickly to messages, overall great Airbnb experience 👍

First Cottage was a wonderful place to stay. Great location (very quiet), clean, everything you could need and very homely. Janice was a great host and all instructions were clear. Great holiday, good value for money and would definitely recommend. Melanie.

We had a wonderful few day's stay in John's beautiful cottage. John is very engaging and even phoned while we were on our way to Holy Island to make sure we had received the key code and to see if we had any questions. On arrival everything was in order and Johns instructions on how to find his cottage were perfect. The cottage is incredibly well situated in the village with stunning views of the castle from the kitchen, garden and both bedrooms. We could have just spent our whole time on Hoy Island sat on the patio in the sunshine taking in the incredible view! The cottage is very up to date and the kitchen is well-equipped if you are more inclined to self cater. Everything in the village is only a few minutes walk away. There is a pub virtually next door and another pub two minutes away, also several cafes. There is also a gin shop right next door! There is room to park one car right outside and an EV charging point if you need one. All in all this is a fantastic property.

The cottage is lovely with beautiful surroundings. The living room in particular is stunning. We are a family of 5 and had plenty of space. Our eldest (11) loved the loft bedroom. Instructions from Liz were excellent and using what3words we found the cottage with no issues. The area is gorgeous and we saw lots of wildlife on the way which was great. The cottage is about an hour away from the centre of Edinburgh, so it’s ideal if you’re wanting to visit Edinburgh but stay away from the noise of a city. We really enjoyed our stay at the Vista over the weekend. The scenery is stunning and the site and accommodation was immaculate. Kelly was a fabulous host and was really friendly and helpful. I would recommend a stay the Vista.

Cuddies Mercat is a great flat and Kelso was lovely to explore. The warm weather helped of course! Everything in the flat was as described with a well appointed kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms and a large living room with dining table.

Our family of four spent 5 nights here, and from the arrival goodies, to the recommendations on where to go, to the great communications , the hosts were fab from start to finish! We loved the accommodation, it was so clean and in a beautiful peaceful spot. The hot tub was lovely and warm when we arrived and very welcome after a long drive. The lake was fantastic and probably the highlight of our week as the sun came out to play when we were there and it was so lovely having the boats to use. We also took our own paddleboard and the lake was just the right size for getting around on it. Only thing to note is that the house is quite far from the nearest supermarkets and towns and even the local pub needs to be driven to due to the lanes, but that wasn’t a problem for us. The hosts had recommended pre-ordering a food shop which we didn’t do, but would if we stayed again. I’ve already recommended it to a friend and would definitely stay again if we are in the Scottish Borders! Thank you!
