Brian's little place is perfect for a couple to explore the bootheel of NM, and, in 80 miles visit Bisbee, or cross into Mexico. The apartment is small, but very nicely appointed, with decent internet. highly recommended

Deer Haven Hideaway

Kathy's home was easy to find and check in was a breeze. The home was perfect for us, lots of space and everything we needed for our 3 night stay. I really enjoyed the peace and quiet, and watching the sun set every night on the front porch. I don't get down to southern AZ very often, but will stay here again if I get the chance.
Two tall flowering stalks are viewed against a golden sunset, showcasing clusters of white blossoms. The vibrant green foliage supports the flowers, while a soft blue sky with scattered clouds enhances the serene desert landscape in the background.

Patrick is a great host and very accommodating for any special needs. A great person to visit with, very caring about his guests. Enjoyed seeing the horses and his pets.

Cienega Ranch- Guesthouse SouthWest Working Ranch

Quiet place in the middle of nowhere. Views of the nearby mountains. About a 20 minute drive to Portal. Jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom. Very windy when we came, so be ready for that. Nearby pond and trees for some bird watching. House was clean and ready for you. Comfy spot for about 4 adults.
A serene river reflects autumn colors, surrounded by lush greenery and rocky terrain. Trees with golden and green leaves frame the water, while distant mountains rise in the background against a partly cloudy sky.

Gene was so nice to greet us out at the entrance on his ATV. Gorgeous drive from I-10 - but don't be like us and trust online Maps with the address. Instead, take a screenshot of Lynn's directions on the confirmation page (scroll down on a phone). Then the place is easy to find!
A welcoming entryway features a handcrafted wooden door beside a white adobe column. Textiles and pottery are displayed on the wall, while rustic furniture including a wooden dining table is visible. Natural light brightens the space, highlighting the earthy tones of the tiled floor.

The Adobe Homeplace

We highly recommend The Adobe Homeplace! It is the perfect home base when visiting the Chiricahuas. The house is very clean and comfortable and the kitchen has everything you would need. There is also an abundance of books and maps as well as information on the building of the adobe house. We will definitely stay again.

Log House. Rodeo NM/Portal AZ

TereasaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed for two months and have not a single negative comment! Our stay was beautiful, peaceful, full of walks, watching the birds, javelinas, and cows. The house was well stocked. Kellye and Dee (& staff!) were attentive, yet allowed us our solitude. It is remote, which is exactly what we wanted! But, the post office and restaurants in nearby Rodeo and Portal are super friendly and an easy drive; groceries in Douglas was a beautiful hour's drive away, and the sites of Cave Creek Canyon, Fort Bowie, Pancho Villa State Park and more were very enjoyable. Tucson airport provided us an airport to travel in and out of for work during our stay (about 2 hours away), and the extremely high speed internet kept us connected (when we could tear ourselves away from the beautiful porch, views, and solitude!) Thank you Kellye & Dee!!
