Monthly Rentals in Catedral District

Great stay at Guido's beautiful flat in a beautiful building. Great views and sunset from the top floor and a lovely little balcony to enjoy in the flat too. Perfect location in a safe area near vegan restaurants and walkable to the city centre too. Our flight was late and no problems checking in at 2am as there is a 24 hour check in desk which was one of the reasons we chose this place. It's true about the train being noisy though it doesn't run on a Sunday so it only bothered us the last morning from about 5am and earplugs did the trick.

I would definitely stay here again. The price is too good not to. Walking distance to everything in Barrio Escalante and still in a pretty quiet area. It is difficult to see in photos but there is a single burner cook top and a microwave so cooking and reheating leftovers is possible, with enough utensils/cookware to get by for basic meals. Some furniture is slightly different than the photos, there was only one couch, there was a desk in the bedroom, and there was no lamp on the bedside table. One thing to note is there there are no screens on the windows, which I know is not uncommon for the area but something to be aware of (I killed 2 mosquitos inside within 20 minutes of being there). I kept all the windows closed for my entire stay and the apartment stayed cool enough to sleep with the one fan blowing directly on me. Yorleny (and her mom) was very responsive to messages and allowed me to check in early so I didn't have to haul my luggage all over San Jose.

This is a great, walkable spot if you want to explore downtown San José. It is a bustling urban area without many other apartments nearby, so it’s unique in that way. Although it’s not very lush right around the apartment, there are several parks just down the road where I enjoyed reading and relaxing. I would just recommend bringing good earplugs, as it can be noisy at night. Marie was super helpful and communicative. Thanks Marie :)

Excellent location, the place as described and observed in the photographs, ideal for going on vacation, since if you go in order to rest the noise of the train that passes nearby is a little uncomfortable, but otherwise it is one of the best to stay
