Castro is a great place to to go on vacation in October. It wasn't too hot, but warm enough to swim in the sea and soak up the sun. It is quiet this time of year. From the apartment you can walk to the harbor in 15 minutes, where there are nice cafes and you can swim in the turquoise sea. The swimming area directly below the apartment is also great, you go from the rocks into the sea. We often had a picnic there with the family. The apartment is simply and practically furnished, it was great! Merci Luisa!

Beautiful place with many outside spaces like terraces, garden, bbq. Perfect to spend a romantic evening. Lovely decoration, a rustic touch. Caterina was very friendly and flexible check-in was possible as the apartment was free the day before.

Vittorio's home was perfect. Vittorio was perfect. We had the best stay. The pictures of the house do not do it justice. It is so much nicer than the photos. Vittorio gives so much attention to detail. Everything we needed or wanted was available, the best of products and accessories. We loved Castro and the people we lived amongst. We came as strangers and left as friends. October is the best time for us as there are few crowds, swimming is still an option, and there are just enough restaurants and coffee shops open to suit our needs. Underground restaurant was a favorite for fish, along with Martunucci's for cappuccinos and croissants. The steps to the port became our morning walk and work out. Finding secret meditation spots along the ocean walkways was a delight. We even took the hike up to the castle and it was not as difficult as it seemed. Stairs became our friends.
