House vacation rentals in Casal de Loivos

Lisbon was nice, but our vacation started here. Having this beautiful home and a car, we explored the region and had a great time. Owners recommendations led to our favorites experiences on the trip. Can't recommend enough. The pics don't do it justice either, and the pics are amazing.

This is a very special place with beauty everywhere you look including the architecture of the house utilising the natural materials of the region to blend into the landscape. Francisca cooked us a delicious three course meal including wine, delivered on a tray on our first night what a treat ! On Francisca’s recommendation we had a very authentic wine and food tour with Bambuti Tours we were overwhelmed with Portugal hospitality for the day and Viewed some amazing scenery, a great way to explore the valley. Casa Do Largo is situated in some of the most beautiful scenery in the valley and we enjoyed a whole day there , with a walk to the beautiful river first then a day enjoying the pool and the most comfortable home. This has been our favourite spot in Portugal and we would highly recommended you book it for at least 3 nights.

I spent a glorious month at Maria Celeste’s home. It was simply the best place to reset, connect with nature & rest. I’ve never been to a more peaceful home. Freshly squeezed orange juice (from trees) every morning. Lemons for water. A natural spring to swim off hiking grime. Mountains to climb surrounding the entire home. Lizard & butterfly friends. And so so quiet. Maria Celeste picked me up & drove me to the location. Taxi services available to go to town when needed. I can not recommend staying at this home more. If you need some R’n’R, stay. You won’t regret it.

I would give 10 stars if possible! The place is just amazing, Paulo and Isabelle created a beautiful paradise with a breathtaking view and everything one needs for an unforgettable holiday. On our trip to Portugal, the Douro Valley was the highlight of the trip from the storybook views to the spread of freshly picked cherries, homemade preserves and wine awaiting our arrival to the cleanliness and comforts of a beautiful home perched high up on the vineyard terraced hills. The game room was an incredible surprise - there are seven eighties arcade games along with a ping pong table, a foosball table and an infinity game with over 150 board games built into the table. The hospitality was second to none. Gabrella, the property manager, was one step ahead of us ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our stays one of the most memorable. Sephi, the owner, is one of the most generous people we have ever met. His passion for region and willingness to offer his time to you is amazing. We spent one morning touring his winery, learning the old way of making wine and enjoying the fruits of his labor – an extraordinary experience not a just another Air BnB.

A estadia correu incrivelmente bem. Estavamos com expectativas elevadas, mas conseguiu superar as mesmas. A casa está muito bem localizada e a decoração é maravilhosa! Por mim, o João e a Debora são impressionantes como anfitriões, não deixaram nada ao acaso e sempre disponíveis para ajudar. A repetir com toda a certeza!

We so enjoyed our stay! The house is amazing. Historic and cozy charm with modern amenities. We had so much fun with the soccer field, the pool, the pool table, hammock, and exploring the grounds. We picked lemons off the tree and made lemonade and a lemon dessert! We soo enjoyed meals at the big outdoor tables- wonderful to accommodate our large group of 7. The daily delivery of fresh bread is a treat!! We enjoyed walking into town and visiting the butcher, bakery, fish market and such. It’s a 25-minute walk through lovely hills, though there is not a sidewalk and the traffic was difficult to navigate at times, but we also drove to town. Sitting outside with morning coffee overlooking the valley was one of my favorite parts! My daughter and fiancé stayed in the detached cottage and found it to be so cozy and comfortable. Lastly, Isabel was very accommodating with some last minute changes, which I really appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The house is an absolutely charming combination of old & rustic with tasteful decorations and modern amenities. The design of place is really smart and well considered. It is located in a really, really quiet spot and is very peaceful and beautiful. The closest town (Mogadouro) is maybe a 15 minute drive away. And there are lots of places to visit in the area by car. Rui is a great host. Responsive and helpful. We were looking for a place to stay with our dog to escape the fireworks during the São João celebrations in our part of Portugal. Rui assured us we would have a peaceful time at his place and he was 100% right.

Olivier was a wonderful host, very helpful with recommendations of all sorts (food, trips, events, wine,..) and they even brought me fresh tea (herbs and fruits) from their garden for me to brew! The house itself was spotless, beautifully designed and simply great to be at.

This was one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever had at an Airbnb. The scenery was stunning, and the setting felt wonderfully secluded yet still just 15 minutes from the nearest supermarket (via a charming, winding road). The house was very comfortable and included a lovely pool — a perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty around. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

Mario and Cila’s home was one of the most beautiful I have stayed out. The house was an old olive oil mill, converted into a modern paradise. They thoughtfully incorporated the property’s history into the renovation. The home is beautiful but the grounds are next level! There is a running stream running along side and under the house with lush grounds and a wonderful pool. There is also a walking path to a little park with a waterfall! Super peaceful property. If you are looking for a getaway, look no further! Mario and Cila are super kind, gracious hosts! They welcomed us themselves and proactively provided tips and recommendations. Super appreciative of their hospitality.

Very comfortable accommodation, very well equipped. Plenty of hot water. Good heating. Netflix available on TV using my own login. Comfortable bed, plenty of spare blankets for cooler nights. Beautiful area and beautiful views from the property. Thanks Maria. PS. Thanks for the bottle of wine.

Nous recherchions un logement reculé pour nous retrouver dans une bulle hors du quotidien. C’est tout ce que nous avons trouvé avec une vue sublime.

Wunderschönes historisches Haus in einem Weinberg. Malerisch. In das Dorf mit Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gelangt man leicht zu Fuß. Vielen Dank.

La propriété était magnifique. Nous sommes arrivés en avance et ils se sont empressés de tout nettoyer. On nous a offert la propriété avec le jacuzzi, et il y avait toutes les commodites nécessaires pour notre bébé : chaise haute, jouets, lit… le jacuzzi devant les grandes fenêtres était une expérience inoubliable. Endroit central pour explorer le douro. On a répondu à tous nos besoins, on nous a offert du porto et des fruits locaux. C’est évident que ces gens ont à cœur le bien être de leurs invités, on recommande sans hésitation.

This place is absolutely amazing — it exceeded all our expectations! In real life, it looks even better than in the photos. Getting there was very easy, and there’s a large parking area right on the property, so we felt totally safe leaving our car. The views from the rooms and the living area are simply unreal — breathtaking. Inside, the house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and had such a pleasant atmosphere. The hosts were wonderful — very responsive and helpful, and arranging check-in and check-out was smooth and easy. The entire property is stunning and well cared for. You will definitely enjoy your stay here. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway in Douro!

The view here is incomparable! The views over the Duoro River are amazing. It’s so close to wineries and winery tours too. There’s a supermarket close by with all you’ll need. It was hot the day we arrived and the pool overlooking the valley was pristine and oh so refreshing! Our host did a great job of communicating and made us feel right at home. I could have stayed here a lot longer!

A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot. Desde a casa absolutamente extraordinária , à paisagem que parece vinda de um filme, ao senhor Manuel que nos deixou sem palavras de tão amigável e querido que é. Não há melhor sítio que este para descansar, e saímos a pensar no momento de voltar. As fotografias não fazem juz ao local, de todo… Casa muito espaçosa, ficámos num T1 e sobrou imenso espaço, bem decorada, muito moderna, com um espaço exterior incrível, é simplesmente mágico ir à varanda e só ouvirmos os passarinhos. Obrigada Lúcia e obrigada ao senhor Manuel, que tornou esta estadia fantástica e a desejar o regresso!

Estadia excelente. A descrição e fotos correspondem exatamente com a realidade. A Dona Cristina, tal como o Bruno, estiveram sempre a disposição e todas as manhãs recebíamos pão fresco e compotas/marmeladas típicas para experimentarmos. Toda a família foi muito acolhedora e tivemos o prazer de conhecer a adega e provar todos os vinhos produzidos. Um espaço calmo e ideal para uma escapadinha para relaxar. Sentimo-nos em familia.
