Family-friendly vacation rentals in Carvalhal

Rita's place was the nicest Airbnb I have ever stayed in. We stayed with 8 adults & it was very comfortable for all. This place has everything you could need for your stay including a full kitchen with all equipment, several spacious double bedrooms with extremely comfortable beds, air conditioning in each room, there was a beautiful back garden area with a swimming pool, sun loungers and a long table for meals outside. We spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor space. There was also a fantastic barbeque outside which we made use of and made lovely group dinners. The games room downstairs was an amazing touch and we had such fun using it. The location here was brilliant, it was about a 7 minute walk to the supermarket and lots of restaurants and the beach. Everything you need closeby! We would highly recommend booking this place in Ericeira if you are planning a trip there. Communication with the host was perfect, we will be back! We had a wonderful short stay at Vladimir's place. The location is excellent, overlooking the ocean. You can take a nice walk towards a viewing spot or take just 3 minutes by car to get to the beach. It's a great place to stay for a family who wants to enjoy warm and sunny days in Ericeira. And do plan to visit Mafra to tour the National Mafra Palace, a fantastic place to visit. A house is well equipped, well planned, and taken care of. Highly recommend.

Miguel was very friendly and flexible with the check in and check out time. The apartment is large with a great view! We had a lovely stay.

Fantastic location in old Sintra! Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. We loved people watching from the balcony doors down to the main square. We walked to Peña, Moorish Castle & Quinta de Regaleira. We were there just before Easter (low season) and found parking on road as advised by host. Used the drop off/pick up space nearby for unloading.

Great place to stay, beautiful surroundings, close to restaurants and beach. Easy drive from Lisbon. Definitely looking forward to coming back.

We had a really great stay at Ana and Jorge's place. Jorge welcomed us in a friendly manner and showed us everything. We got a small and delicious basic set for the kitchen and immediately felt at home. Ana kept sending us helpful tips. They provided everything necessary for our little daughter. If we're in Lisbon again, then definitely here!

Amazing property and very helpful host

We absolutely loved this place. We were a family of 4, children aged 10 and 5, and made this place our home for 10 nights. The place was spacious, clean, had everything we wanted like washing machine and drier. Beds were comfortable. Lounge was spacious, and loads of room for the kids to play, and not annoy the adults! Location was excellent. Not to far from the centre of Lisbon especially if you use Uber and Bolt. The hosts were excellent, always quick to respond and deal with any enquiries. We would come and stay here again, and I would 100% recommend this place to our family and friends. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place, and we hope we can stay here again in the future. Bruno’s place was peaceful and a relaxing sanctuary including the bells from sheep next door He was helpful in suggesting local treasures and places to find local cuisine. Little touches around the sweet cottage added to feeling welcomed Also very responsive and accommodating. Would love to return

We had a great stay with stunning view, friendly cats and owners. The house is very comfy and calm. The little heater did the job and maintained a good temperature during cold and wer days. Wifi is ok. Thanks to Catarina and her family !

Annemie is a wonderful and generous host who couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive. The house is in an amazing location, up in the hills with beautiful views and bird song. Pool wonderful and kitchen well equipped. We had a great few days. Thank you 🙏🏼

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at CASAVADIA II. It is a hidden gem in nature. I highly recommend it, and we will definitely return.

Great family apartment with everything you need for a longer stay. There are heaters in every room, so the apartment can be heated during colder months. CD collection, TV and toys are excellent for rainy days. Great choice of local and international cafes and restaurants nearby, plus grocery stores and a playground. Nearby bus stops and metro stations give you options to go anywhere. Friendly host to help with everything.

Staying at Juan’s place was perfect in many ways. Juan made us feel very welcome and his place is charming. I can’t imagine a better location - next to the castle in old town; it was a convenient spot for shopping, day treks around the city, and transportation from the airport and to Porto. Impeccable exterior for this kind of rental, sun, swimming pool, terrace, fireplace-barbecue, house "like at home" with everything you need to live there, well equipped with household electronics, quiet despite the "Portuguese" dogs who often bark at night but almost not in our case, quiet in the neighborhood, the market 100m from the house and supermarkets that are not very far either, my favorite beach (Princesa) 5 minutes by car.

Renata is a wonderful host, she is friendly and goes out of her way to make you feel at home. Highly Recommended.

Maria and Cesar are excellent hosts. The accommodation is in a lovely and private setting with everything you could need provided. They were both extremely helpful, especially when we had a minor problem with our hire car, but not at all intrusive. We loved our stay.

Was a very nice place to stay and ideal for two families

The place was very quiet, with a nice garden area. We didn’t even feel that the owner’s family was living upstairs, since we didn’t hear any noise at all. We had all the amenities needed, and slept very well in comfy beds. The fact that we were allowed to use the parking inside the house was very handy. The communication with Angelina was very easy and she responded promptly to our questions. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice quiet neighborhood, with easy access to Lisbon and Cascais/Sintra areas.

We had a great, restful time at Lurdes despite rainy weather. We were very warmly welcomed and provided with great sightseeing and restaurant tips. Elisabeth was always available for us and very quick to respond. The ocean view from the deck is amazing! The nearby beach (we would recommend a car) has great bars and clear water. The house is clean and as pictured. Thank You!

We had a wonderful week here! Our 5 year old loved the climbing frame, extra toys and of course the heated swimming pool. We loved the peace and quiet, the beautiful surroundings and the view. The house is extremely comfortable and we were made to feel at home right away after a lovely welcome and tour to help us get settled. The fantastic beds (hotel quality) and blackout blinds meant that we all slept really well, especially after long, active days. All of the facilities were of very high quality. The area is beautiful with a range of different beaches to choose from, as well as trips to Lisbon and Sintra easily possible, and the nearby mountains as well. There was also the convenience of a lovely bakery and mini supermarket very close by, as well as fantastic restaurants on the local beaches. A great place to stay, wonderful hosts and a fantastic area. We would highly recommend!!
