Beach house vacation rentals in Cape Bridgewater

This is a stunning property with magnificent views and beachfront accessibility. Lots of flexible living with two apartments. We were one family so flowed between the two spaces but you could have two families staying and each have a zone.

Really lovely stay exploring the beautiful Portland. House was clean, spacious, and the hosts were excellent! Coffee and biscuits on arrival was very much appreciated.

Such a beautiful location, just outside of town and easy to access with a car. Beautiful drive to the property past some cows, scerene rolling greens as far as the eye could see, with the beach just behind the property. Home was well equipped. Crispy sheets. Thanks very much for having us!

We had a great stay — the place was exactly as described. We had 8 of us in town for a fishing charter, and the house was perfect for what we needed. It was clean, homely, and communication was easy throughout. The games room was definitely a highlight and provided plenty of entertainment. Would happily stay again!

Imelda's home is in such a beautiful location- the sea wall at the end of the garden is the only thing separating her home from the beach! ❤️ I loved reading my book from the bench which is perched atop the sea wall. My kids and husband loved the easy access to flick the rods. We also loved the fire pit for cosy evenings! The house was clean and comfortable. It was a short drive to nearby Portland, which has a lovely community feel and everything needed (from supermarkets, restaurants and take away, to medical needs). It is also centrally located to places like Port Fairy and the Bridgewater caves. We will look forward to returning. Thanks, Imelda!

Amazing location & a great space. The views are incredible! The house is steps away from the beach and a short walk to a lovely town center. Highly recommend for couples or larger families. Overall a wonderful stay!

Perfect position with the best view of the ocean right at your back door. Had everything you needed & more. Very relaxing, roomy & a short walk to eateries/shops. Would definitely recommend staying here. Lee

Impressive, comfortable and organised. Accessible to shops, seaside view and a house with a lift (elevator) very rare to any accommodation. Host is hospitable and generous. Thank you for welcome Cadbury chocolate ♥️

My three young Grandies thought this place "felt like home" very quickly after arriving. This was a blessing to me as it was their first time ever leaving NZ. We loved the size of the house - much larger than we anticipated from the photos. Was really close to town, also a park virtually across the road and loved the sea and port views from the park. If ever travelling to Portland again I certainly would stay again and highly recommend it. Loved it.

We enjoyed our stay at Dunskie Shaq it is a delightful property, clean and well maintained. Debra was a great host, very flexible with arrival and departure times and easy to contact. We would definitely stay there again.

Michelle's place was perfect for our stay. This is our 12th visit to Port Fairy and first time staying in Michelle's place. It's in a fantastic location, with easy walking to the town centre and also the Merrijigg Inn which I highly recommend for a special dinner! The house kept nice and cool and has a beautiful garden to sit in and listen to the visiting birds. The kitchen has everything you need if you're cooking too. Michelle was really responsive and it was appreciated that one of the rooms could have two single beds for the kids.

Mark's place was ideal for our large family catch up - 6 adults, 2 kids, 2 little dogs - with plenty of room to gather together. Outside verandah was lovely in the sun and the gates and fences were secure for the fur babies. It has a quirky layout (& decor) because of its old, but grand architecture. Bathrooms are quite updated. Central location meant easy walks to shops, cafes & foreshore.

We had a wonderful stay at Boré & Anita Cottage. Highly recommend and would book again when staying in Port Fairy.

We really loved staying at Thistle Cottage. It had such a lovely, welcoming feel and immediate good vibes. It had absolutely everything we needed and more. We loved the contrast between the original, front section of this historic whaler's cottage and the modern, open plan extension with kitchen, living and dining. The back yard was fabulous - private, well-maintained, and wonderfully set up for outdoor entertaining and relaxation. The town centre is a pleasant walk and East Beach is just across the road. In the evening quiet, you can hear the waves breaking on the sand - very soothing. Elle was a responsive, warm and generous host. We love Port Fairy and would definitely stay again at Thistle Cottage. Thanks so much for everything Elle.

We were very impressed when we arrived at Middenway. What a beautiful home, with big bedrooms & plenty of room for 10 of us. The house was perfect for our needs and everything we required was supplied including pantry items, games & much more. The location was also perfect. We were in walking distance to everything. The house was also lovely and clean. We made some lovely memories being able to accommodate our family together.

Great stay. Easy check in, David was very responsive and easy to get in contact with. Perfect for what we needed. Definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay in Port Fairy. The house was spotless and very comfortable, with lots of small thoughtful touches that made our stay very enjoyable. Easy walking distance to places to eat, the river and ocean walks. The host was welcoming, with super fast communications. Highly recommended!

I had some personal challenges when initially booking Andrea's house. I communicated with Andrea and she was able to accomodate my needs without any issues. I booked the house for three of us originally, but due to unforseen circumstances, I was not able to attend. My fellow travellers did go and found the house to be exactly as described....in fact, they said it was better. Their words, "The house was impeccably clean and had all the comforts of home, I give it 5 stars". I spoke to Andrea on several occasions and found her to be responsive, friendly and extremely accommodating. I am so disappointed I could not personally attend, but I will definitely be booking Andrea's house again. If you are looking for a beautiful home in this area, I would wholeheartedly recommend this.

Tara Cuan was a lovely home for our long weekend in Port Fairy. It’s close to shops, restaurants, coffee, the beach and walking paths. We visited in winter and the house was warm and cosy. There were games and books for the rainy days. Christina kindly supplied kitchen basics such as oil etc. which made for a very easy stay.
