The Retreat @ Solway House is a cosy 1-bed annex tucked away in our garden in the peaceful hamlet of Rigg, just 1 mile from Gretna Green. Our semi rural location is only a 3 mile drive from the M6/and just off the A75, the perfect stop over to break up any car journey, we provide parking for one car on our driveway. The Annex is a self-contained tiny home with its own private entrance, featuring a double bed, log burner, cosy sofa area, shower room, and a fully equipped kitchen/dining area.

After enjoying the areas many woodland or riverside walks a warm, welcoming hot 4 person tub is a treat to return to. The cabin has it's own Wi-Fi together with a smart TV, ideal for logging on to your Prime or Netflix accounts. We also allow 1 small/medium dog for the cabin stay

Hovel House Shed

The Shed has been custom built, in the paddock, near my small barn conversion. It has a homely atmosphere, with vintage furnishings and up-cycled items. Where possible I’ve tried to be eco friendly. This is a quiet, tranquil place with beautiful views of the Scottish hills beyond the Solway Firth. It’s part of a small hamlet and my former family farm. Animals are often kept in the fields next to The Shed. You’ll experience stunning sunsets and starry skies.

It is a short walk to the local shops, takeaway restaurants, and pubs. The beautiful River Esk is less than a 3 minute walk from the cottage. Great public transport connections to Carlisle, Gretna and the Borders. This space is ideal for couples.

Located in a quiet rural area, our lovely annex 1 bedroom apartment is located in a quiet village called Eaglesfield, half an hour from Carlisle and only a 5 minute drive from the M74 motorway. The annex is adjoined to our home, but boasts it’s own entrance and porch completely separate from our house allowing you full privacy during your stay. The annex also comes with off street parking for one medium sized car on our gated driveway.

Remote Forest Hideaway *Great Walking/Cycling*

Meadshaw farmhouse apartment is located a short drive up a good forest track. Plenty of parking, secluded walks from the door, peaceful, starry skies, views across the valley toward hills and river, secluded wild swimming a short stroll from your accommodation, and a log stove to relax in front of. Private entrance, lovely enclosed garden. Sorry no dogs except assistance dogs.

The Silo Cumbria

The Silo is a completely unique holiday stay, based in the beautiful countryside in North Cumbria. Originally a grain store tower, it has been completely reimagined and renovated as a one bedroom home-away-from-home. The unique building has retained the shape and structure of the original silo with luxury amenities and finishes throughout.

Camping pod in western lakes

Our beautiful camping pod sleeps 2 adults comfortably but could sleep 3 adults or 2 plus 1 young child. Pet friendly. There is a double bed in the pod. Based on our working farm with panoramic views of local fells and Skiddaw. We have 3 camping pods all sited for guest privacy but could all be hired by friends.
