Waterfront vacation rentals in Caniço

As soon as we arrived at the place in Fatima we understood why I had 5 stars in Airbnb! We chose it for being located in a good spot to allow us to drive around the island in a few days. Law views from the terrace of the room/living room, Fatima's attention from the first moment, all the details that it has with its guests (gifts, towels, slippers, everything you need to cook, washing machine, barbecue area for free use...) and being able to park in the door have made this accommodation our second home and the place we will return to in our already planned second trip to Madeira very soon! Totally recommended!

The place was beautiful in a very quiet location with stunning views. Everything was clean and furnished with love so that you can only feel comfortable from the first moment. It had everything you need, we also loved the many kitchen utensils and the grill, which we used every day. The terrace with whirlpool, lounge, loungers and table were the highlight. We spent a lot of time in the accommodation because we felt so comfortable. The beach Calheta is 5 minutes by car easy to reach and highly recommended. We also loved the private parking. Bruno and Maria are very accommodating and also asked how we are doing and if we need anything. The location was perfect for us, very quiet, lots of privacy and yet we can get everywhere by car. Great stay! We saw this apartment and after booked tickets for flights, view is fantastic and all needed is inside apartment! Sunsets are attractive and view to the ocean from the bed is amazing!

It has been sometime since I stayed in a real home-y and cosy house like Betty's. Our whole group (two families with small children ) was very pleasantly surprised by this beautifully decorated home. There were many essentials as well as some offerings by the host readily available. The location(although not very close to the historic center) is fantastic as it is possible to walk to some famous rock pools and a beach, as well as many restaurants, a mall and a supermarket. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat.

We (two sisters) had a wonderful time in this apartment in Madeira. The welcome by José was very warm, he gave us great tips for restaurants and excursions. The apartment is clean, very well equipped and provided with many loving details – from soap and toilet paper to salt, pepper and other small attentions, everything was there. We were particularly impressed by the fantastic view of the sea and the surrounding countryside – simply unforgettable! The location is ideal to explore the island. We can absolutely recommend this place and would come back any time.

So the stay was relaxed from the first minute and you were warmly welcomed. We were even greeted at the parking lot! 🤩 After the briefing on the circumstances, there was always a contact person there. I highly recommend the accommodation, it's worth every penny.

We are a family of 4 traveling from the US and this house was beautiful and well cared for. We loved the area- walking distance to the beach- grocery and restaurants. The view and the outside space were amazing. The house was incredibly equipped and Nuno was a welcome host. We hope to be back!!

We felt very relaxed and comfortable at Antonio’s lovely house and the garden and views were impressive. We appreciated the interesting features in the garden with its nature feel and enjoyed the pool and sauna which we thought was a real asset for the place. The house is interesting and cared about and Antionio was an excellent and helpful host. We were glad of the car we hired to access shops, restaurants, beach and walking areas as without one would be difficult but it suited us really well as 4 adults who wanted a base from which to explore Madeira.

A lovely property with a beautiful view in a quiet and peaceful part of the island. Jose was very kind and super accommodating to a last minute change we required. We had a wonderful time!

Carla was a wonderful host! She provided detailed instructions, was responsive to our questions, and the apartment was very well appointed. The kitchen had everything you could need! Enjoying coffee on the deck, overlooking the water, was an unforgettable experience.

This was by far the best AirBnB we’ve ever stayed in. Antonio was so helpful from the very beginning (he sent lots of info ahead of our arrival), made sure we could check in in the morning after our early flight and welcomed us personally at his lovely house with pool and all amenities one could look for (specifically in the kitchen and bathrooms, where we found all types of equipment, shampoo, tissues etc). The beds were comfortable, the view was stunning. We were a group of 6 and enjoyed cooking together (particularly barbecuing outdoors), but the house offered many peaceful corners for each of us to relax in, too. We also really appreciated Antonio‘s recommendations for hikes and other things to do on the island. Thanks a lot for everything!!

Madeira is adorable and the place was too! The accommodation is superbly equipped, you have everything you need. The location is fantastic. In the bedrooms, there are small "windows" to fall asleep and wake up with the sound of the sea. Constantino was super nice, always helpful when we had questions about the island and he gave us great tips. Everything was clean, well-maintained and cozy. This Airbnb was worth every penny! We were more than satisfied!!! Thank you for this unforgettable time!

This atypical accommodation on several floors is very beautiful and perfectly well appointed. We took advantage of the 3 outdoor spaces. Appreciated welcome with a nice touch on arrival (flowers, wine, beer, water, chocolate). We were also well advised for our outings and restaurants. Note: Not easy for me to park properly in the parking space but it is possible to park in a parking lot down the street. We are delighted with our stay at Adriana's

We absolutely loved our stay. The seaside view is incredible and relaxing. We loved the access to grocery and restaurants right nearby and it was nice to be close but not right in Funchal with the crowds. Mariana was the best - met us for check in to show us around and sent lovely recommendations for our stay. We loved cooking at the apartment and listening to the sound of the waves. Don’t hesitate, you won’t regret booking this lovely condo!

Maria’s 8th-floor apartment was perfect! Super clean, spacious, and the balcony had amazing views of the marina, Santa Catarina park, and the city. It has two bedrooms — one with a double bed, the other with two singles — both with private bathrooms and closets. There are three bathrooms total, all spotless. The kitchen had everything, plus a dishwasher and coffee machine. Laura, who welcomed us, was so kind and helpful. She messaged me before arrival, arranged parking, explained everything in the apartment, and even brought us a big bottle of water and fresh coffee capsules the next day. She also gave great local tips. The building has great security and private parking. Honestly, the whole stay was smooth and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Madeira — close to everything!

Serene sea side getaway with beautiful ocean views and plenty of food options nearby. If you want to explore the Western side of the island this is the perfect spot to serve as a launchpad for said adventures. Amazingly comfortable bed and stunning place to catch the sunset. Two thumbs up!

This condo was beautiful, clean, and had an amazing view. Plenty of seating, close to a grocery store and many restaurants. The infinity pool which looked over the ocean was lovely. We would definitely recommend.

Nothing to complain about - great apartment and great place to stay during Madera vacation. We would definitely choose it for the second time ;)
