Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Caniço

I think this is one of the best scenic app on the island. I have not seen such spectacular sunsets anywhere. The pool is perfect for swimming after tours. There is also a gym, overlooking the ocean that my husband used. The only thing to know is that it's a good idea to bring earplugs because a garbage truck arrives across from the bedroom quite early in the morning. But that shouldn't discourage you from booking. Graca is also a flexible host and allowed us to stay 4 hours longer because we had a late evening flight. Thank you!

The apartment was just amazing ,we had 6 adults staying in the apartment and it was so spacious ,3 large bedrooms ,2 with en-suites and another bathroom located right next to the 3rd bedroom,location was great ,with a lovely sea view from the balcony and close to restaurants and a large supermarket. The apartment had everything we needed. including a washing machine and tumble dryer. My son made use of the gym and we enjoyed using the pool. Jordão and Claudia were easy to contact and responded immediately, gave us clear instructions for checking in and checking out . We used the Bolt app to get taxis to travel around which we found excellent and reasonably priced. There is a parking garage under the apartments where you can park a car if you choose to do a rental car . although we didn’t have a car ,we found walking through the parking garage a great way to avoid the steep hill. we will definitely hire the apartment again when visiting the beautiful maderia island . The apartment was amazing! It had everything we needed. We especially appreciated separate towels for bathing and for the beach. The washing machine with a dryer was also very convenient after hiking. The apartment did feel like home, and it was very pleasant to come back after a long day of exploring Madeira. We appreciated that the parking was included and that it was never crowded, so we didn't worry that we might need to search for a spot. The swimming pool and the gym were pleasant additions. Trust me, you WILL WANT a picture from the infinity swimming pool. But the best thing about the place was Marianna. She was so helpful and so responsive. All her recommendations were top-notch! The food and experience were incredible. Thank you so much for our wonderful mini-vacation. We couldn't be more satisfied with your place.

The apartment met all expectations. Furniture good, beds good. Bed linen is also fine. Towels and toilet paper are amply provided. We were able to park the car in the garage under the building. The parking space is very tight but street parking is actually not possible so recommended despite the tightness. We had a seat Ibiza with an inch or 2 space on each side. The coffee maker made it, but within half an hour we got a new, really toppie. Restaurants a 100 meters walk and a nice harbor, supermarket also a 150 meters away so close. We have enjoyed it!

We had a lovely holiday in Camara de Lobos, the apartment was perfect and had a great view, was very handy for shops and restaurants and had a great pool on the roof, Diana was an excellent host and communicated with us very easily, we hope to return, Thanks

Luxury apartment exactly like the photos, super cozy and well equipped, in a quiet condominium with a sea view! The worst part was having to leave! Highly recommended!

This location is perfect - the balcony provides are a picture-perfect view of the bay, along with spectacular sunset views. The accommodations are clean with a very nice layout. The kitchen is well-equipped - just like home. There is everything you need within walking distance - restaurants, shops, ATMs, bakeries and easy access to the local seaside promenade.

Nice appartment in funchal with swimming pool and parking. We enjoyed staying at this appartment for a few days and kids loved the pool and the available board games. The beds were confortable and the appartment was well equipped.

The best host I have ever stayed with through airbnb. Lionel and Carla are super, super hosts!! The property is immaculate, very spacious and on a superbly situated development. The beds were super comfy, great black out blinds too. There are many fabulous local restaurants nearby or you can easily hop onto a bus just outside of the apartment block to Funchal. Lionel and Carla really go the extra mile! If you require any help or information the response time is immediate! Thank you for making our stay in Maderia so perfect! We will be back!

Lovely clean and functional apartment. Really relaxing within easy reach of supermarkets, shopping centres and restaurants. I was mountain biking and there were no issues with my bike being in the lifts or anything (maybe a few funny looks) but all in all a good place and close to a fabulous coffee shop.

The village is perfectly located for an extended holiday. Anastasia assisted us in planning starting with providing assistance with parking pass, hiking maps all around the island, any silly requests we had at our stay. And her replies where prompt and professional, providing 2 and 3 options for every inquiry we had. We really enjoyed our stay.

The apartment was great. A lovely designed living-room and a big balcony with an awesome ocean-few. The village is a good spot to calm down after some island adventures, with a lot of offers like spa and something like that. Can fully recommend the apartment for a stay at Madeira. Definitely will come back soon.

I stayed for 3 nights with my friend for the second leg of our 6 days trip. The town centre location is super convenient. The apartment felt spacious for two of us. It was super clean and well equipped. WiFi worked well without any complications. Shower had good water pressure. We both had peaceful nights, I wasn't aware of any outside noises. There is a plaza with a big food supermarket just 2 minutes away which is open till 10pm most of the time. Adriana, the host, was very helpful, she let us check in much earlier and check out much later than advertised. We didn't meet her in person, but it was clear through the messages that she's a very friendly and helpful host. I would be more than happy to stay there again.

Not only were the views amazing from every room, but the apartment itself is very comfortable, impeccably clean and conveniently located. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

Very nice villa, we and our children enjoyed the space in the house and around the house. Nice garden with artificial grass around the house and good fencing so children could play safely. The house had nice views to the sea. The only downside was the caterpillars that often crawled in under the doors. Because our youngest son is still crawling, this was not so useful. All rooms and bathrooms were super tidy and comfortable to use. Indoor parking of the car in the large garage was also very nice.

Katharina was an excellent host. While the house was close to downtown and had all the amenities we needed, what we like even more was how incredibly responsive she was to our messages and how accommodating and understanding she is. When we had to do a late checkout she accommodated us which was very helpful for us. I would strongly recommend any property hosted by Katharina.

My partner and I stayed at Villa Limoeira with another couple. It was perfect for our group! Breathtaking views, a clean and comfortable home, and excellent local recommendations. Also, there’s a heated swimming pool where you can watch the sun set over the ocean, so that’s pretty awesome. Calheta is a quiet and picturesque area with easy access to many of the best hikes and nature on the island! Would recommend renting a car, but there is a great local restaurant within a 5 minute walk from the villa. Wish we could have stayed there forever. 10/10 would recommend!

Very clean, comfortable and modern villa. Lots of parking spaces, gym, large terraces, lots of bathrooms, beautiful spacious bedrooms, modern and brand new appliances, dishes and other equipment. During our stay, we had only one request - to provide us with a barbecue grill. The owner bought a brand new grill within 8 hours. Everything was very good. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Madeira. We recommend this accommodation to everyone!!!

We had a great stay with Julio as our host. He communicated very well. The location was incredible and the space was clean. The internet connection was not very strong, but this was not a big deal as we spent most time exploring the island. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a great six days at the villa. This was not a cheap option but you get what you pay for: an excellent, modern villa with lots of space and very well furnished and equipped. The location is great in a quiet neighbourhood, elevated with fantastic views over the port, the sea and the city, but also a short drive to the main road, so well connected for the rest of the island. We had an issue with hot water at one point but this was quickly fixed. No hesitation in recommending this property. We hesitated over paying to get the pool heated, but very glad we did so. We spent a lot of time in it and wouldn't have it hadn't been heated.

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb. The home was spotless, modern, and exactly as pictured—fully equipped with everything we needed. The pool area and yard were beautifully maintained and perfect for relaxing with a breathtaking view! The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, yet just a five-minute drive to the beach, supermarkets and a great variety of restaurants. You could also walk, though the return trip is a bit steep! Our host was friendly, welcoming, and very responsive, even meeting us on arrival with delicious pastries—a lovely touch. We absolutely loved the view, loved the space, and would return in a heartbeat.
