A calm waterfront scene depicts gentle waves lapping against a rocky shoreline. A figure in a blue jacket is seated on the pebbly beach, looking out over the water. In the distance, green hills are visible under a clear blue sky.

Entire ground floor flat in Kilchattan Bay

KateRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Wonderful wee flat, 1 minute from the bus stop to Rothesay, and from a glorious view of the sea. Instructions were easy to follow, eg key entry etc . Alan was quick to respond to one query, and also let us know about a power cut in the south of the island (which didn’t affect us, as we were out, but it could have worried us). Neighbours were friendly. Flat was spotless, though (as described) very small. And the price was very good. Please pass on our thanks to Alan (2 adults and 1 wee dog) . We hope to come again.
A wood-burning stove is positioned in a corner on a dark stone surface, providing warmth with visible flames. A metal fire tool set stands beside it, and woven baskets are placed nearby, likely holding kindling or blankets. A pet bowl is situated on the wooden floor.

Ghillie's Croft Cabin, Rothesay

I've been taking my Mum on wee holiday's twice a year for a number of years and this is by far one of the nicest places we have stayed. The photos don't do it justice! Beautiful accommodation tastefully furnished with quality products. Extremely comfortable & cosy. The log burner with the wood provided was a bonus. The floor to ceiling windows in the lounge/kitchen let in loads of light & the views out to sea were fantastic! Sitting on the terrace watching the ferries come & go was good fun too. A lovely welcome box included tea, coffee pods, sugar, milk, bread & biscuits! With other additions such as salt, pepper, oil etc. A lot of thought & consideration has clearly gone into making this very well equipped cabin a pleasurable & stress free stay for people. Lovely hosts. Thank you.

The Coach House at Stewart Hall

CatherineRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
An absolutely amazing property, located down a pretty driveway, with gorgeous planting all around. Our immediate reaction on arrival was just, wow! It is a truly beautiful, spectacular property both inside and out. High ceilings; spacious areas; and tasteful, elegant furnishings flow throughout the entire property. The upstairs area was a fabulous place for a couple or children to use. Self contained via a spiral staircase, it has its own living room and shower room. My daughter (11) loved it! We spent 3 nights at The Coach House and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The ever-changing view across to the Isle of Arran and Inchmarnock is just breathtaking, and we did, in fact, sit and stare at it for a solid half hour on one occasion. They are knowledgeable, and also provide a plethora of books on Scotland and the area, which I found riveting. Karen and her husband, David, are hospitable and friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful and available. We will be back!
The historic Rothesay Castle is visible, surrounded by a green moat and well-maintained lawns. Mature trees line the area, and charming buildings can be seen in the background, all under a clear blue sky.

Castle View ground floor 1 bed apartment

Absolutely loved my stay! The location couldn’t have been better – just a 5-minute walk from the ferry, which made arriving really easy and stress-free. Everything you need is right on your doorstep, from shops to cafes and local amenities. The flat itself was warm, cosy, and spotlessly clean, with stylish decor and all the modern appliances you could want. It truly felt like a home away from home. I had a perfect stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Highly recommended!
The exterior of a stone cottage is framed by green lawns and a small tree. The building's unique architecture showcases multiple gables and a tower, complemented by a clear blue sky. Picnic tables are placed on the lawn, inviting outdoor use.

Cottage was lovely, very clean and in a beautiful location. Putting and tennis available within grounds with clubs and tennis racquets available for use. Welcome packs for us and dog was a lovely touch and made us feel very welcome. Have stayed at Kames Castle in the past and never fails to impress.

Above the Bay

HelenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is an absolute gem. We had booked at very short notice after a problem with the hotel we were due to stay in and thankfully gained immediate access to this property. It was absolutely perfect for us (a family of four plus dog). Peaceful location, nearby parking, clean and well equipped accommodation - they’ve thought of everything. To top it off is the stunning views from the beautiful bay window. I’m so glad we had to cancel our hotel as this was a million times better!

Location couldn't be better. Central Rothesay. The apartment is lovely. Has everything you might need. Peter was super helpful, really couldn't have done more to make our stay great. Even suggested dog walks and places to celebrate my birthday. Amazing place and if I come back to Bute I'd definitely stay there again. Thanks Peter
