House vacation rentals in Bude

The property matched the description provided, though the photographs give the impression of a larger space. Nevertheless, it perfectly met our requirements. Chris was exceptionally responsive to our inquiries, addressing various questions we had. The area was clean and filled with ample natural light. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the surrounding land for play, as well as the small game room stocked with toys, which was a welcome respite during a particularly rainy and windy day. The on-site washing machine was available for free use, and the washing line proved to be quite useful. Although the outdoor pool was not heated, it did not deter my children from taking a dip and having fun. I would certainly consider staying at this property again.

We stayed for a weekend and it was perfect. A beautiful property in a very quiet and relaxing setting. Hosts provided all of the information we needed. We will certainly return for another visit in future!

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Caroline’s place! We loved the freshly baked scones, clotted cream and jam on arrival. Check in was super easy as the key was just left in the door. Our little boy Myles loved watching the alpacas too! Overall very pleasant and refreshing stay I would recommend!

Great little getaway. Great communication and the caravan was clean tidy and well presented. Well equipped for a lovely break. Recommend it.

We loved staying at the Coach house it was just as in the pictures, and clean/comfortable with many mod cons. The Cream tea provided was delicious and the milk from the Milkiosk was fun/special. Our spaniel loved the field to run round in, although he was a bit naughty on occasion straying with the excitement. The pool is heaven, especialy as it is timetabled per unit meaning we had it all to ourselves for our turns (what a great idea). Just a great location with some lovely beaches and walks along the coastline. We loved it so much we have already booked again for next year.

Great house in lovely location. Layout suited us well (2 families with kids and grandparents). Washing facilities proved very useful. Pool rota worked well and there was always a time available that suited us (open 8am-7pm). Host responded quickly. Lacking house guidance but not a problem and host responded to advise. Note access into house could be an issue for less able and push chairs-steep steps to front and lowest step broken away (advised host so this might get fixed). Rear access via steps and narrow sloping and muddy path. Parking to rear -you block in your other car. Parking spaces not spacious but adequate. We loved it thank you Beach Retreats!

This was our family’s second stay at what is our favourite spot at Retallack. The lodge, being right on the water, feels peaceful and secluded, but is only a few minutes’ walk to the pool, restaurant and other amenities. Mel is a great host, always replying quickly, and the lodge has everything we needed for our stay. We’d definitely come back again.

We had an absolutely fantastic holiday as a large extended family. The house was perfect! In fact better than what we expected. The layout downstairs is perfect to accommodate us all and allowed us all to be very social with one another. Garden was perfect for the dogs, kitchen had plenty of plates and utensils etc as well as cookware to make dinner for a large number of people. Anna & Sally were very quick to respond also with any questions we had. We really did have a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend

We had an amazing 3 night stay in this fantastic house, it easily fitted 7 adults and two small dogs. The attention to detail in decor and amenities was impressive, there was literally nothing that we thought we needed as everything was thought of and provided and more. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and greatly appreciated. The four double bedrooms (1 was a king or 2 singles) were very comfortable and quality toiletries provided in the three bathrooms. The shared areas were spacious and comfortable with plentiful seating, and all ages catered for. The hot tub and fire pit on the decking was great, and the view from the front of the house is stunning! Denise was proactive from the start and ensured our stay was a perfect 10 out of 10! We wholeheartedly recommend this lovely home from home.

My stay at this lovely place was warm cosy and very quiet… easy to get to Bude beach… lovely coastal walks nearby… and lovely quiet private garden.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kevin’s place. We’ve been to Bude many times and staying at this home has been by far and away our best stay/experience to date. We loved the layout of the home, the kids and us adults enjoyed the best game of hide and seek ever 😆 The bathrooms are a great size too, the showers are huge! The views out onto the canal from either the lounge or the seating outside on the jetty watching all of the ducks, swans and people enjoying the canal was nice and chilled. The house is superbly positioned with the beaches, Bude sea pool, shops, restaurants, bakeries and coastal walks only a few minutes walk away plus the canal has a nice walk too. The rowing boat and kayaks were the icing on the cake, Kevin was fantastic at communicating and super helpful, thank you so much and this will be our number 1 choice for when we revisit Bude in the future! 💯

Tania and Julian were really friendly, helpful and communicative from first point of contact and right throughout our stay. Their house was perfect for us. We were having a family get together for 6 adults (and 2 dogs ) and the house was really spacious and attractive, both inside and out. All the rooms gave us exactly what we needed, a spacious kitchen, big dining room, enormous lounge, very comfortable bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. Outside there’s a lovely terrace and garden again with lots of room for everyone to relax or eat outside. The location was superb. Within walking distance of Summerleaze beach - great for surfers - and Bude town centre. We barely used the cars after arriving. We couldn’t have asked for any more and can highly recommend Tania and Julian’s house. We definitely hope to stay again.

We had the best week here! The house was even better than we thought it would be, very private and so close to the town/ beach. The house was immaculate with everything you need. Kristen had left lots of goodies for us when we arrived which was much appreciated. We will definitely be back!

Gerri has a lovely house in the heart of Bude, just a two minute walk from the canal and estuary leading to the sea. The house is very nicely furnished and has a great kitchen with well stocked pans and utensils. Not that I did any cooking, there is a great choice of places to eat, dine in or take-away. The living room has a projector onto the opposite wall, so once the curtains are closed you can watch Netflixs like being in your own private cinema. It's an ideal place to stay if you're visiting Bude.

It was an absolute delight staying in Lane's cottage, hosted by Angela and Daniel. Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed by both Angela and Daniel who had prepared a beautiful cream tea that was waiting in our cottage. This was such a kind and delicious gesture and one that was happily received. Lane's Cottage is beautifully furnished and kitted out with everything you need. It is spotless and true to the written description and photographs. The location was a perfect base for visiting the north west coast of Cornwall and it was so quiet and peaceful with stunning views of the coast. The coastal path is literally on your doorstep step and provides access to amazing walks in this beautiful area. Our hosts Angela and Daniel are definitely the A team. They are friendly, incredibly helpful and genuinely enjoy hosting. We kindly thank theml for sharing their beautiful part of Cornwall with us.

We had the most amazing week with our 4 boys at The Old Guard in May. We have been renting various properties in Hope Cove for many years. Wendy's property is now our absolute favourite!! Not only did we have fabulous weather but the location is just perfect for getting out on the kayaks etc The warm outdoor shower is brilliant for when you get back! The balcony is very large and a great space! The views from the balcony are spectacular and the sunsets incredible. The kitchen had everything you need. They utility area with washer and dryer is very useful staying with a family. The property was really well designed & clean and comfortable to stay in. Wendy had said the parking would be tight, but we got our 2 vehicles in no problem just a bit of time to go back and forth and one is a long wheelbase Mercedes Vito! We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back again! Thank you Wendy for all your messages and prompt replies when we had any questions.

Luke is a fabulous host! Not only is the cottage idyllic, peaceful and charming, but Luke left us some goodies for our arrival. These included a bottle of fizz, some delicious bread and eggs from the chickens he keeps on his small holding. There was loads of good recommendations for walks and activities within the cottage and Luke trod a wonderful balance between giving us our space and being there to offer advice and recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the countryside!

The BANYAN is absolutely stunning, the décor, the style, the location are all amazing. We stayed for 3 nights and it was so relaxing and chilled, something that my wife and I really needed. We couldn't fault anything, from the responsive Alex and Jules, the instructions for everything, the high quality furnishings, the welcome pack, the peaceful surroundings. This is most certainly a place that we will visit again. A good base for a beautiful part of England, and we would highly recommend staying here. The photo's don't do the BANYAN justice! If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind in this part of the world then book it, you will not be disappointed. The Red Barn was a lovely retreat for me and my partner and our newborn. It was very peaceful and had a beautiful garden, which I’m sure would be lovely in summer when the weather is warmer. We initially had an issue with the hot water but Karen and Conrad were extremely quick to resolve the problem (which was out of their control) and communicated well. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Red Barn for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

This place is perfect for a big group. I booked this place for my best friends hen do and it was perfect! Over looking a golf course, quiet area, stone throw from the beach and town, perfect. The place was clean and had enough seating for everyone at breakfast and dinner. Thank you for letting us stay! 😊

Really well equipped modern kitchen & bathroom, ample power points, soft & bright lighting to suit your mood, comfy bed & pillows, comfy seating both indoors & on the patio. Claire has thought of everything you could possibly need to make your stay perfect!

Wow! Both Broxwater Shippon & Robbie exceeded our expectations. The air BnB was stunning, clean and had everything we needed. The open plan setting is perfect for a weekend away with family. Robbie was extremely flexible, responsive and friendly- she made us feel right at home and nothing was too much trouble. She provided lots of recommendations too which made our weekend so much easier to plan. The stay was the perfect relaxing rural retreat to recharge! We would 100% recommend to everyone and would love to go back.
