fabulous hosts. The cottage is immaculate inside and out. Very comfortable and homely. Few Easter treats left for us and our dog which was a lovely touch Great place for exploring Northumberland. Nice walks on the door step and lovely beach 5 mins away and some really nice eating places . Will definitely return

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage. We were very comfortable and it was brilliantly located.

Great base to explore if you want to explore Amble, Alnwick, Alnmouth, Warkworth all within 10-30 minutes of this place. Great place if your working in those areas as well as I was but will consider this place if I am wanting to stay up this way again although I tend to travel further north but the areas I generally like to go are only approximately an hour from this location. The cottage itself has ample parking for vans as well as larger SUVs Broadband is slower than I usually am used to but adequate for most daily uses and streaming services tended to buffer at night but I just used my Hotspot to overcome this. The house itself is very quite and peaceful and private parking was especially appreciated.

A four day family break was enjoyed staying at The drift house in Amble. Our days were so easily filled with wildlife (we saw dolphins, seals, puffins and many other birds), beautiful beaches, Alnwick and Bambrugh castles. We ate out at la Famiglia twice and at the sea food shack in Amble and a pub in seahouses- all tasty and friendly. We returned ‘home’ to the Drift House’s clean, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. So central to access beaches and restaurants and close to shops but felt quiet and private too. Thank you Ian and Lauren! Carol and the Duffy family.
