Great little cottage in the villages outside of Carlisle. Wetheral has a great train station for getting in and out of Carlisle without the car. There are even trains into Newcastle! The village is great with a post office, cafe, shop, pub and restaurant. The local hotel, which is a 5 min walk, has a pool and gym which you can pay to use during your stay. Although there is no designated parking, parking outside was easy and no problem. Had a maximum of a 10m walk into the property from the car. Check in was so easy and cannot fault the stay.

What a beautiful home! Exceeded our expectations. Online photos don’t do this place justice. It’s absolutely beautiful and surrounded by lovely scenery. Would recommend to anyone looking for a spacious, homely, comfortable and quirky place with gorgeous surroundings
