Vacation rentals with lake access in Breerivier

Lovely and well kept, Heleen was super as a host, the location was amazing with clever architecture to hide from the wind and still enjoy the clear nights and days.

Our second time here at this wonderful house on the edge of the lagoon was truly spectacular! The house has absolutely everything you could need including table tennis, tennis racquets, bicycles and board games. The proximity to the water is very special with our boat moored at the beach right in front of the house. Thank you so much Marlize!

What an absolutely amazing place, so peaceful and really beautiful surroundings, close to activities in Swellendam but away from the crowds. The perfect getaway with family. Lena was an absolute star.

We fell in love with the village of Stanford and the soul restoring River Home. This beautiful house is right on the river's edge and is a real treat (and retreat) to stay in. Just the place to surrender to nature, listen to the birdsong, rest and restore. We loved walking along the delightful river path. A short walk into the centre of town will bring you to several delightful restaurants. We ate at three of them (for lunch at Madré we enjoyed a really good pork belly with crispy skin and vegetables, at La Trattoria we had a feast of authentic Italian food and Agteros has a menu full of delightful South African dishes done with a modern twist). We also brownsed in some delightful homewear and gift shops. If you prefer eating at home, the kitchen at River House has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. It is spotless, has a great gas hob and electric oven and a dishwasher for cleaning up after.

This is home away from home for us. The personal thoughtful touches to the place is everything. I always look forward to the good nights rest at any of Elzettes cottages because of the comfortable beds and fresh linen! The cottage is stocked with anything you could have possibly forgotten to pack. Anything from Emergency kit, spices, insect repellent, shampoo, washing machine pods to wood provided for the hot tubs.We are also really greatful for accommodating our baby. A comfortable cot was set up for him with soft linen! Not forgotting our favorite part, the complementary fresh cows milk, baked bread and butter! thank you once again :)

Clare was an amazing host and her home a perfect stay. Beautiful views and intimate setting to enjoy quality time with friends and family. Indoor and outdoor braais, many bedrooms and a lovely terrace area. Everything was clean and read for us on arrival. I can't recommend it enough!

We had a beautiful 4 night stay in this idyllic place. Stephen and Clarise were so accomodating and very explanatory about all the ins and outs of check in and check out. The setting along with the exquisite decor made for a super relaxed family (and doggie friendly) holiday. We will definitely be back very soon!

The house was neat and tidy and the bedding was super soft. We had a very good stay and appreciated the housekeeper coming in mid stay to do a linnen swap for us. Would recommend.

We had such an incredible stay at Rene's place! Great location, clean, and really kind and helpful host. We loved the outdoor shower! Walking distance to the rock pools and beach and a short drive to Hermanus and the town. We can't wait to come back to visit.

We had the best stay at Linden Tree for a wedding. We were so warmly welcomed by Jenni and her husband, and their friendly two dogs. The rooms were stunning with great views and very clean, with everything you need. The location is also great with it being it right in the town but just off the main road too feel immersed in the nature of Napier. Thank you Jenni for being such kind hosts. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Bit of a back story - we got married in Hermanus 30 years ago yesterday (30/4/95) at St Peters and had the reception at Beintangs se grot and we had our honeymoon at Smits - we were the first to use the house after we had bought it. Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht in dieser tollen Unterkunft und wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Sehr sauber, schön eingerichtet und durchdacht. Lariez war zudem eine sehr zuvorkommende und herzliche Gastgeberin. Man kann sich in dieser Unterkunft einfach nur wohlfühlen.

We really enjoyed our time at the cottage. it was quiet and peaceful but close enough to all major sites and lots of restaurants. The cottage is well furnished and has more than everything you could need for a shor or long stay. The garden and patio are well furnished and make for a relaxing chill spot after a long day of sightseeing. Our pets were also well accommodated for and had a wonderful time playing in the garden.

Kyle’s place is absolutely incredible! The views alone are worth the stay—truly breathtaking. The house itself is spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. Everything was fresh and inviting, from the clean linens to the lovely scent throughout the home. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, which made our stay even more comfortable. Kyle was an outstanding host—extremely responsive and helpful, always quick to reply to any questions we had. We genuinely wish we had a couple more days to soak in both the house and the charm of Hermanus. Without a doubt, we 100% recommend Kyle’s place to anyone planning a trip to Hermanus!

We had a really great stay, it is a beautiful location with easy access to Montague and Barrydale. Danielle gave us some really great suggestions for things to do in the area. The farm has some nice walks, and the roads are well kept, very accessible for cars, no 4x4 needed. The farm has some very friendly dogs as well. They were kind enough to provide us with wood and a well equipped kitchenette. I highly recommend it.

Came here last year as I grew up in the hermitage and brought my Thai fiance and she just fell in love with the place. The animals, nature, mountains and friendly people. Love it here and came back longer this time and will be back every year.

This was our second time staying here. We love it. Great location. Lots of entertainment for the kids. Alex a fantastic efficient host. We will definitely be back.

We had such an amazing surprise when we arrived at Berry Guest Farm - Raspberry cottage. We had booked as a last minute break and due to the responsive host had just gone straight ahead without getting too much info. What a treat when we arrived with our 4 children. The farm is a child’s paradise with activities - from amazing zip lines, canoes that are free to use at any time, fishing, waterslides, warm pool, night time child friendly hikes with UV torches… the list goes on, but the plus is that the scenery and nature of the place makes it paradise for adults too. Surrounded by spectacular mountains, and a short distance from nature reserves with hikes, waterfalls, mountain trails and wildlife, well we were just spoilt for choice! We had no idea that the small airbnb we had booked offered all this and we will be sure to return with friends to book a few of the cottages and maybe even camp on the campsite. Note: the campsite was very close to the house but noise wasn’t an issue

A unique and fascinating experience. The huge remote property has history, bushman petroglyphs, game and lovely vista's. Owner Stevie was great company for his tour of the property and our first chance to really talk with a well-connected SA person. There are apparently several houses for booking on the property, depending how deep into the valley you want to go. Our cabana was much more stylish and new than pictures indicate. A couple notes: the cabin includes hot tub AND a plunge pool. No AC so you may find really hot days intolerable. Finally, the last hour of road there is rough (corrugated) gravel. To really explore the inner valley you need an off-road capable vehicle.

Absolutely amazing! The place is impeccable and caters for your every need. It was a beautiful stay. Thoroughly enjoyed the private jacuzzi and Daandre was kind enough to leave a camp cot for our stay with our baby! Thank you 🙏

You can feel the love, care, and passion that Gabriela has poured into creating this magical retreat. Our stay was nothing short of incredible. From the joy of walking up to the labyrinth and witnessing a breathtaking sunset to the pure exhilaration of squealing down the foofy slide—every moment felt special. We loved hiking to the waterfall and rock pools, immersing ourselves in nature’s beauty. Our cozy rondavel felt like a warm hug after each day of adventure. The charm of Frog Mountain extends beyond the landscapes—it’s in the horses grazing peacefully, the cows wandering the fields, and the symphony of beautiful birdsong each morning. Swimming in the river was a refreshing delight, and every corner of this place felt like a gift to the soul. We are deeply grateful
