The Water House is a fantastic place to visit. It caters well for 2 families, 8 to 10 people and is ideal if you like watersports and have a motor boat. It is on the edge of the lagoon. It is a spacious home which is very well equipped. Stuart and Gerhard are very good hosts and they meet you on-site on arrival and on departure. They went to a lot of trouble to make sure everything was just right, including the provision of firewood, beach towels, ice etc. Can't wait to go back there sometime.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is situated in what seems to be a small valley. We used our time to walk into several directions including the rock pools and the bokmakierie trail. You have to walk this one as it takes you very high above the surroundings and gives you beautiful view all around. We regularly went to do our own game drives on the designated roads as we didn't had a 4x4 but still with a vehicle with high clearance. We saw a lot of Springbok, Gemsbok, Eland and Bontebok. We also did a bit of bird watching at the main dam early in the morning. The rest of the time just lounging around of course. The host was very responsive of our needs and questions. We would definitely be visiting Drie Kuilen again.

Everything about this trip was amazing. The house is spacious, beautiful and modern. Great for multiple families. The valley is breathtakingly beautiful with a little stream for the kids to play in. Jannie was an incredible host from booking to checkout. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

This is home away from home for us. The personal thoughtful touches to the place is everything. I always look forward to the good nights rest at any of Elzettes cottages because of the comfortable beds and fresh linen! The cottage is stocked with anything you could have possibly forgotten to pack. Anything from Emergency kit, spices, insect repellent, shampoo, washing machine pods to wood provided for the hot tubs.We are also really greatful for accommodating our baby. A comfortable cot was set up for him with soft linen! Not forgotting our favorite part, the complementary fresh cows milk, baked bread and butter! thank you once again :)

We simply just love this place!

This was one of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed at. The house is beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped with great attention to detail. The large terrace with a barbecue and fireplace was perfect for relaxing and eating. We loved the little dam for swimming and the peaceful surroundings made for great sleep in very comfortable beds. The big bathtub was a nice bonus. There’s plenty for kids to do on the farm, with friendly animals to meet. Tabby was an amazing host – helpful and supportive throughout our stay. We left feeling refreshed and will definitely be back!

We had the best stay at Linden Tree for a wedding. We were so warmly welcomed by Jenni and her husband, and their friendly two dogs. The rooms were stunning with great views and very clean, with everything you need. The location is also great with it being it right in the town but just off the main road too feel immersed in the nature of Napier. Thank you Jenni for being such kind hosts. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Bit of a back story - we got married in Hermanus 30 years ago yesterday (30/4/95) at St Peters and had the reception at Beintangs se grot and we had our honeymoon at Smits - we were the first to use the house after we had bought it. Our family had a fantastic stay at this beautiful Airbnb! The host Leanne was incredibly responsive and made everything seamless from start to finish. The place itself is stunning — thoughtfully decorated with luxurious touches that made it feel like a boutique hotel. I really appreciated the attention to detail: from the Nespresso pods and biscuits to all the little extras that made sure we had everything we needed as soon as we arrived. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into creating a warm, welcoming space. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Spacious, tranquil and well equipped haven in the beautiful Swellendam. Very comfy sleep! In winter this place will be wonderful with its wood burning fireplace. Private and lovely! Great hosts - Lariez and Jenkins!

We really enjoyed our time at the cottage. it was quiet and peaceful but close enough to all major sites and lots of restaurants. The cottage is well furnished and has more than everything you could need for a shor or long stay. The garden and patio are well furnished and make for a relaxing chill spot after a long day of sightseeing. Our pets were also well accommodated for and had a wonderful time playing in the garden.

The absolute magnitude of though effort and care that goes into this unit is unlike anything i have EVER seen. Been at many very expensive units and hotels that dont cater or care 10% as much. Kudos to Nina and Monica who went out of their way with everything! Super chuffed. Will be back no doubt.

I absolutely loved my stay. The farm is so scenic and peaceful. The cottage is much bigger than it looks on the photos. It had everything I needed and was very comfortable. There are loads to see and do. Especially if you love birds. Beautiful and easy walking trails. Perfect to break away. The hosts are kind, helpful and passionate about the farm.

Came here last year as I grew up in the hermitage and brought my Thai fiance and she just fell in love with the place. The animals, nature, mountains and friendly people. Love it here and came back longer this time and will be back every year.

We had an incredible stay! The views are breathtaking. The kids loved hiking the mountain to the lookout, relaxing in the hot pool, paddling in the lake and being in nature. The cottage is well setup and very comfortable. We cannot wait to stay in the future! Thank you ☺️

We had such an amazing surprise when we arrived at Berry Guest Farm - Raspberry cottage. We had booked as a last minute break and due to the responsive host had just gone straight ahead without getting too much info. What a treat when we arrived with our 4 children. The farm is a child’s paradise with activities - from amazing zip lines, canoes that are free to use at any time, fishing, waterslides, warm pool, night time child friendly hikes with UV torches… the list goes on, but the plus is that the scenery and nature of the place makes it paradise for adults too. Surrounded by spectacular mountains, and a short distance from nature reserves with hikes, waterfalls, mountain trails and wildlife, well we were just spoilt for choice! We had no idea that the small airbnb we had booked offered all this and we will be sure to return with friends to book a few of the cottages and maybe even camp on the campsite. Note: the campsite was very close to the house but noise wasn’t an issue

A unique and fascinating experience. The huge remote property has history, bushman petroglyphs, game and lovely vista's. Owner Stevie was great company for his tour of the property and our first chance to really talk with a well-connected SA person. There are apparently several houses for booking on the property, depending how deep into the valley you want to go. Our cabana was much more stylish and new than pictures indicate. A couple notes: the cabin includes hot tub AND a plunge pool. No AC so you may find really hot days intolerable. Finally, the last hour of road there is rough (corrugated) gravel. To really explore the inner valley you need an off-road capable vehicle.

From the joy of walking up to the labyrinth and witnessing a breathtaking sunset to the pure exhilaration of squealing down the foofy slide—every moment felt special. We loved hiking to the waterfall and rock pools, immersing ourselves in nature’s beauty. Our cozy rondavel felt like a warm hug after each day of adventure. The charm of Frog Mountain extends beyond the landscapes—it’s in the horses grazing peacefully, the cows wandering the fields, and the symphony of beautiful birdsong each morning. Swimming in the river was a refreshing delight, and every corner of this place felt like a gift to the soul. We are deeply grateful
