My daughter and I broke away for the weekend and this was the perfect spot. So peaceful and we felt very safe. The place is beautiful, and has everything you could possibly need. Definitely recommend! Thanks Christine.

We had a lovely stay, with only the best interior. Ample space and the fact that every room has it's own en-suite bathroom, was great. The apartment is situated on the most beautiful part of the Strand. The spacious, sheltered balcony makes it possible to enjoy the feeling of Strand at all times and certainly is the heart of the apartment.

Magriet’s place is the perfect Airbnb – super clean, a very comfortable mattress, a well equipped kitchen, looks exactly like the pictures, and it’s private and safe. There is so much attention to detail; I doubt you’ll miss a single thing to have a very comfortable stay – Magriet has thought of it all! It was lovely to have braai area (and all the equipment you need, including wood). Magriet is a wonderful host and it’s clear she cares about her guests. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we won’t stay anywhere else!

Very nicely settled on a working farm - the daytime view is amazing and sunset is always great when mountain ranges are involved. The apartment (which is bigger than some houses in the U.K.) had everything you needed for a long or a short stay and the braai wood was exceptionally dry (which makes catering for a family of 5 a breeze). Swimming pool warm by Ceres standards and fairly large, with some shade from the 40 degree heat we had upon our arrival. As it’s self-catering, get your provisions before check-in, because once you’re there, you don’t really want to leave again. All in all a great place and it is child-friendly (i.e. not much stuff for a bunch of boys to get stuck into when things get quiet). Thank you for the stay.

More often that not the accommodation photos are better than the actual accommodation, I am pleased to say that this time it was the reverse. The Acorn Cottage was better than the pictures, it was just lovely! For the price you pay you are getting an absolute 5 star experience, the cottage is perfect for 2 people wanting a romantic getaway, or even just for one person needing some solace and a quiet retreat. Well appointed, nothing was missing. The kitchen has everything you need, the bed is huge and so comfortable, quality linens and pillows, the bathroom is spacious and so well though out, great bath, good quality towels. You really don't need to bring much, some clothes and food. The view is spectacular and a little Weber takes care of that quick braai if you feel inclined and the company was exceptional - the friendly resident dog Luna. I loved it, will be back again for sure. Private and secure, Abbi is professional, responsive and doesn't fuss - perfect!

I have stayed and about 60 airbnbs at least, and this is the best one I have ever been too. So many special touches and care in setting up a perfect get away. Honestly you will love this place. Hosts were wonderful as well!

Lisa’s place was absolutely perfect! It was a close drive to town, but located on a beautiful winery that serves breakfast and lunch throughout the day. Lisa’s check-in instructions were thorough and clear. The place was clean, there were snacks and drinks available in the unit for purchase. We felt very safe the entire time. Thank you again Lisa for such a wonderful stay!! We would definitely return :)

We were very pleased with our stay with the owners. They met us when we arrived. Before the meeting they sent us the exact point of the house so that it would be easy for us to find it. The owners explained in detail where and what is and how to use what. But the most important thing is the view from the apartment - it will not leave anyone indifferent. This view was magnificent. We thank the owners for the cozy and beautiful housing.

This apartment was a true gem – spacious, tasteful, and packed with incredible amenities. It felt like a home away from home, not just a rental. The location was perfect: minutes from the centre of town but incredibly quiet, nestled on a charming cul-de-sac. It also felt very safe and secure. The kitchen was the best-equipped I’ve ever seen in an Airbnb, with high-end top-of-the-range appliances. Lize-Marie was a very responsive and helpful host, making our stay even better. We’ll definitely be back!

The apartment was like the best fitted treehouse you could possibly stay in. Every fixture and fitting had been carefully thought through. The most luxurious abode I have ever stayed in. Understated, exquisitely furnished in the most tasteful way. The complex and the buildings are a dream come true. The thoughtful touches were much appreciated. Hope to return. Everything was perfect.

Stayed with the family in this well equipped home. it is well located with a very short drive into Stellenbosch. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

We were warmly welcomed by Simone and we immediately felt at home. The space had a luxurious feel and we truly enjoyed the tranquility the house and area. Before check in, the hosts asked if they could heat the hottub for us to have it ready upon arrival, how nice! The area was peaceful and we could walk to the beach. The hosts were very responsive and even assisted us when we had car trouble, truly nice people. Will visit again!

This unit was one of the best we've stayed in in our worldly travels!! It was even better than the photos. The unit is very large and spacious for our family and the kitchen had eveything we needed to prepare our meals for the week. The patio was also very large and had amazing views of the ocean and moutains. Strand is one of our favorite places to stay in The Cape and this unit did not disappoint. We highly recommend staying here and look forward to our next visit. Thanks Colin!!

We stayed for 1 night at Ivan's apartment. You are right in the center and can walk easily everywhere in town. The balcony is looking out to the main street to watch the people. The pool was a nice addition but we weren't able to take advantage of it. What we didn't notice during the booking is that the upstairs bedroom is not closed of from the living area downstairs. Just be aware of that. Would stay here again.

On arrival, our wonderful fresh sourdough awaited, a welcome touch we both loved. The cottage was spotless and the kitchen extremely well-appointed, AND there was filter coffee and milk – most welcoming!! We ordered Ubers from the cottage without any issue, as we knew parking in town during the festival was a bit of a schlep. We did not get to see the dam or test the hot tub as we were too busy with the festival. The WiFi password had changed, and a new one was provided swiftly, and comms with the farm manager were good. The only niggle we had was noise from the house next door around midnight and again at 6 am that woke us up and we couldn't nod off again. One suggestion, especially for summer light, would be to swap the blackout curtain in the living room to the bedroom. The light did not bother us but in summer it might filter through the curtains. We will definitely stay at Royal Gala Cottage again!
