The house exceeds expectations: - The common spaces (barbecue, kitchen, game room) are film. -The excellent rooms, 8 double beds, sheets and towels for all the guests. - As for a very well equipped kitchen and bathrooms, even with an industrial fridge for cooling drinks. Adrian's attention excellent from the first hour of the day. Attentive by phone and even more as soon as we arrived. In addition to explaining how everything worked and the instructions to check out, she gave us several tips to get around the area that were very helpful. We travel to enjoy the carnivals of Ourense and staying in the house of Allariz us was great to be at an intermediate point between all the municipalities. The stay at Adrian's place is highly recommended.

I would give this place 6 stars if I could. Make time to taste the wine that is made right on property, as well as the small local wineries. I personally found these wines tasted better than the big ones because the wines were made with more passion and heart into the art of wine making. Beautiful home, beautiful place and I hope to come back one day. Recommended to not have a large vehicle as the roads can be quite narrow.

Great stay in the Douro in this accommodation, in a calm and friendly atmosphere. Antonio the owner of the house is quite available and friendly. The house was extremely clean and is very well-equipped. Everything matches the listing description. We will keep this address for a future stay in the Douro. Excellent accommodation and excellent hosts. The house is spacious, very comfortable and with all amenities for a quiet stay. Located in the historic area of Bragança, the accesses are not the best, but the indications given by the hosts have helped a lot. The river Fervença running right next to it gives you a special touch. I recommend it and will be back.

Loved it. Beatiful and very private, great pool, lots of space for dog to run around. Got everything we wanted from the stay and hope to come back.

Cannot say enough about this place, its everything it says and lots more. The ladies that service the property along with preparing breakfasts were simply awesome. Aurora's chocolate cake was a hit, and we had it for dessert and breakfast! The location and views are postcard perfect and that comes with some nervous driving to get there, but once you know the quirks really not that bad, just be careful. Highly recommending this to friends that are planning a trip to this beautiful part of the world.

Our stay was perfect. Teresa and Jorge are wonderful hosts, who have pampered us throughout our stay. They are always available and looking to satisfy any wishes or needs we may have. The house is really unique and special, full of history and beautiful decoration, antiques and exquisite details. Children and adults have been so comfortable with the pool, the weather, the barbecue, the outdoor furniture,... that we have enjoyed the house more than the obligatory tourist visits to the city and the area. 100% Recommended

Our stay at Lugar das Letras was nothing short of magical. This beautifully restored house, once an old school, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards—a true feast for the eyes. The rooms and bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, thoughtfully designed to make us feel at home. But what made our experience truly unforgettable were Carla and Paula, the two wonderful ladies who took care of every detail. Every morning, they prepared a memorable breakfast for our entire family, filled with warmth and care. Their kindness and hospitality turned our stay into a dream. We can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise in the Douro Valley. Highly recommended!

Small stone house nicely renovated. Beautiful decor. Lots of tricks to make a small space functional. A few food items,for troubleshooting, are for sale. Typical village, plan your supplies.

Carla is undoubtedly the person who makes you feel at home,kind, polite,collaborating and with a great human treatment. I help us at all times with our doubts regarding the city, before and during the stay. The house is a cuckoo in a privileged area at the foot of the castle,without having to move the car to get to know the city.

Perfect jumping off point for Douro Valley. The house served our family of 5 well. We had a great experience with the property manager, Beatriz. She was very communicative and even helped us ship home a few items we left behind. Overall a great stay.

Delightful! So wonderful on cold November evenings to arrive and return to a warm home. They had pre-heated the home to create a perfect welcome! I want that shower! The shower is so spacious, easy entry, the drain works perfectly, the water all stays in the shower. Gorgeous view from my bedroom and the balcony. So many restaurants in town. Perfect for easy and scenic round trip drive along the Douro.

Annette is a very nice host. The house is located in a beautiful farm with amazing view. If you are looking for a relaxed weekend this is the place to go! You can spend the day in the farm walking around, going to the pool, playing board games or take a car a discover the region!

This place was incredible. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, it was perfect. Such a kind host and farm manager, beautiful and peaceful surroundings, and convenient to all things in the Douro Valley. I would stay at this place again in a second. Definitely worth it!

Wonderful ! Although the stay was short and the weather didn't go with us much , we just have nice things to say about the house , it's not missing a detail , it's all super clean ,the outside and the swimming pool… we'll repeat as soon as we can ! Caty very much for us so everything is 10 !!

Ana’s place is a perfect hidden getaway surrounded by amazing views of the countryside and mountains. A car is a necessity. Beautiful flowers, fresh fruit and veggies all around, this place was a great quiet break from the hustle and bustle of the city. We were greeted by Ana’s mother who accommodated a late night check in and was there to help any questions we had. Our secondary host, Quarantine the cat, also made sure we had company for our entire stay and was a real delight to have around. Great peaceful escape!

Sergio is a perfect host, friendly, responsive and helpful. The apartment is in a very safe and welcoming area, nicely located a short drive from local amenities. It has everything you need to stay and we were comfortable. Though some early issues with the WiFi, Sergio was super quick to fix and very understanding, honestly this really made the trip for us. He kindly offered local recommendations and showed us a lovely river a short walk from the apartment. Wishing you the best, thanks again :)

It was a perfect vacation! We fell in love with the village and the house. We came with the idea of repeating. Juan was very nice, he explained everything and I advise us where to eat, places to visit, very kind and attentive!!! If you want to enjoy a quiet vacation, this is the perfect place!! PS: What about the weather... it was wonderful, just what we were looking for to escape the heat of Madrid.
