Family-friendly vacation rentals in Bragança

We were very comfortable, the house is great, in a very good place to get to know the area, and the host was attentive to our questions and needs. As an improvement, I would put latches in the bathrooms, or at least lock the door (one could not), and leave the patio cleaner so that it could be in it. In any case, it is highly recommended.

We stayed in the apartment of Casa do Forno for 5 days and the experience was very good. The indoor pool came in handy since we got a lot of rain on one of the days. The location is good as a starting point to explore the Montesinho Natural Park. The check in (made in another location and mentioned in the reservation confirmation) was simple and quick. The breakfast delivered every morning was quality. Whenever necessary, the farm staff was helpful and considerate. The decor and furniture was a bit outdated but functional.

Excellent choice to escape the city routine! Accessible location, with parking and useful infrastructures about 20 minutes by car. Very beautiful and welcoming historic village, calm, surrounded by nature and peace. The house exceeded expectations, being better than in the photographs, besides that it was impeccable: clean, tidy and equipped with everything you need. The huge courtyard, the amazing jacuzzi, the bicycles, the hammock, the skylights, the air conditioning, the fire, the fireplace and the salamander were some of the cherries on the cake, but everything amazed us and made us feel right at home! Reception of companion animals also pleased us a lot. The hosts were impeccable: friendly, available, responsive, accessible and always ready to help or give suggestions on what to enjoy in the surroundings. Dona Paula is a very humble and caring person, who knows the history of the village and sharing it with a glow in her eyes. We hope to return one day!

Absolutely beautiful, stylish home. It was huge! It would be a wonderful place to come with a small group or for a family. We were just a couple but loved it just as much! The Jacuzzi tub was great and the beds were comfortable. We wished we could have stayed longer. Very good value for the space. Host was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend.

It's a great apartment. Isabel was very kind to us, and her husband was very interested in information about the area. The location of the house is ideal for touring the arrivals of the Douro.

Excellent stay for several families with kids. The estate is beautiful and well maintained, the pools are nice to cool off in during a heat wave. The hospitality is perfect. The price in season may be scary at first but the house, the estate and the kindness of the employees justifies it. We'll be happy to go back! Thanks Inès (and Angela)

We spent a weekend at this place and were delighted. José and Teresa were very friendly and from the minute you treated us very well. The house is just as seen in the photos, and the surroundings are spectacular. Highly recommended :)

The casa was absolutely perfect for our needs. A very homey, warm space, containing absolutely everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. An added bonus - the rooftop terrace! Rabal is a peaceful little village with a mix of deserted ruins and homes inhabited mostly by locals. We appreciated staying in a town that wasn't dominated by tourist rentals and we found all the locals very friendly and ready to say good morning or more. Conversations were only limited by our ability to speak no more than basic Portuguese. Both little cafes/bars, located side by side, were delightful! Both a great 'go to' for the beverage of your choice. Location, location, location! There are some lovely walks right outside the door. Recommended is a circular walk through the countryside to the Santuário de Santa Ana. Bragança is a short 15 min. drive. The circular route to Puebla de Sanabria, Spain and back through Rio de Orno is an incredibly scenic drive. Ninho do Melro II - Highly recommended!

everything was perfect. We were afraid following the reactions of travelers about the bells and finally we didn't pay much attention to them, even at night. The accommodation was very good for 2 or 3 if there is a young child. Very good restaurant in Tabuaço and the beautiful Douro Valley. Hikes from the village. We recommend.

Absolutely loved Beatriz's place! We stayed in 4 different Airbnb's in Portugal on this trip, and Beatriz's place was our favorite by far. The listing pictures don't even show it as nice as it actually is. Well equipped, in a beautiful town, and the region is stunning. Highly recommend it, and we would love to come back again!

Spacious & clean with a great view + pool

A beautiful building restoration combining the modern with the old. Quiet, very clean and comfortable. We had a great stay there!

Peace by the water (at the end of the world) The accommodation could only be found after a telephone inquiry, although there are only a few buildings in the village. This is VERY secluded, if you want to stay longer, you should shop well. It only had two cafes and one (closed) restaurant there. The nearest shop is about a 1/2 hour drive away. However, it would also be possible to travel by train. However, it is fantastically beautiful right on the river and the traffic on ships, trains and cars can almost be counted. I particularly liked the surroundings with the many flowers, the access to the water and the many seating and lounging options outdoors, both in the shade and in the sun. If you want to take a boat trip, you don't need to drive away, the host also does such. You can also rent boats from him, tips for fishing were also provided. The accommodation is worth its price, is well equipped and has parking in the shade. Thank you to everyone

Amazing location with incredible views. Beautiful property with great interior design and well chosen artwork, sympathetic to the original school. Thanks to Tania and Carla for the care and attention and for the outstanding breakfast each day. And for doing a shop for us on the first day before our arrival. We would definitely recommend the chef at home meal. Great food and service by the guys with traditional Portuguese dishes on offer. Fantastic stay; we didn’t want to leave….ever! Outstanding! We can’t say enough about how magical our stay was. The unit is adorable and so unique. We loved the setting- the vineyards, the birds. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. The sunset was glorious. The pool was a welcome respite from the heat. There is only one air conditioner in one bedroom, which in conjunction with a fan did a reasonable job of keeping the house cool on a very hot day. The kitchen is fine for light cooking.

I can't say enough about how incredible this Airbnb was, Carla and her property were so beyond expectations. My family and I felt extremely comfortable there, it is remote but absolutely beautiful. We were not able to use the pool, because the weather was a little bit cold. I jumped in for like 20 minutes and even though it was cold it was very nice. Carla was so communicative the entire time we were there, she made lots of helpful suggestions and helped us to book a tour around the Douro Valley and surrounding areas. She and a friend also cooked us breakfast every morning, which was delicious and helped us to start our day. 10 out of 10, I would absolutely return.

Nice detached cottage in the middle of the city and along the river. Nice garden with swimming pool, terrace in the shade. Everything clean and tidy. Glad the dog was allowed to come. Enclosed garden. Nice walking route directly from the house over a wooden jetty. Very thoughtful and responsive hosts. A problem with a door handle was resolved very quickly. I definitely recommend it!

This was a wonderful stay that offers you the best of both worlds. A quaint, peaceful rural home yet driveable to bigger tourist areas. Jose was such a welcoming host and we appreciated our arrival treats and his graciousness even with our late arrival. The history to the home is unique and adds another layer of warmth to the stay. The home was clean and the beds comfy. The shower had good pressure and a good supply of hot water. It has a functional kitchen as well as a grill outside that we made good use of. The pool was absolutely lovely after a long day of touring. We enjoyed evening games of euchre in the loft area but note that even if you aren’t tall, remember to duck as there’s a low beam. We highly recommend this stay and would return without hesitation!
