Clare’s jungle retreat is absolutely stunning—a true hidden gem surrounded by nature. Getting there is part of the adventure: a scenic 10-minute walk from the drop-off point, where you’ll likely have some lovely interactions with locals along the way. Porters are available to assist with luggage for a small fee, which we highly recommend. Upon arrival, you’re warmly welcomed by the effervescent Tia, who provides a fantastic introduction to the accommodation, local community, and available excursions. The on-site café is a highlight, serving delicious meals, with the banana chocolate spring rolls being an absolute must-try! The views from the accommodation are breathtaking, with the added bonus of being away from the busy village center and right on the edge of the jungle. Whether you’re relaxing on your veranda or enjoying a cold Bintang at the café, watching the tubers float down the river is an experience in itself. We loved it so much we tried to extend, but they were booked!

House open to nature and outdoor life. tastefully decorated and furnished. We really enjoyed our experience at this atypical home. Thank you to the owners who organized our jungle trek, and the private transfer to Medan. Our 2.5-year-old son had a car seat in the car , first time in 4 months of travel in Asia , we were reassured and he too was able to sleep comfortably and safely. Neighbors are friendly and enjoy meeting strangers. The owners are very responsive , kind and friendly .

The Jungle Huts are a wonderful place to escape to. Very comfortable rooms and all the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. We also arranged a great jungle trek and other activities through Jason, making for a hassle-free experience. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
