It was a wonderfully nostalgic time staying in a neighborhood I grew up in. I just love blocks lined with beautiful brownstones with their own unique aesthetic while somehow also blending together. Ellen was a kind, caring and accessible host. I always enjoy staying in spaces that have attractive art pieces on display. I also enjoyed a convenient commute and plenty of food options to choose from.

Vikas was very responsive. Stayed here with my dad to visit my brother who lives on Union near Smith St. Great easy walk. It was unfortunately unseasonably cold and rainy for Memorial Day so we didnt get to enjoy the gorgeous backyard as we had hoped. Will definitely stay again.

Perfect short stay in Park Slope with Ian and Patrick in their very beautiful home. It's a lovely area with lots of great cafes and restaurants - the apartment is a short walk to the subway and Prospect Park. Ian and Patrick were great hosts and the room had everything I needed (inc. a very comfortable bed).

Staying here was great. The neighborhood is quiet, but with lots to do. It was quick walk to the train as well, making it easy to get to other parts of the city. We would definitely stay here again.

Risha’s place was great for our long weekend in Brooklyn visiting family. Risha and Josef were very friendly and helpful hosts. It’s a cozy space with the only sitting area being at the kitchen table, but that was fine as we came to NY to explore. The bed is comfy, and the view of the back courtyard is pleasant. Bathing in the clawfoot tub in the kitchen, rather than a typical shower made for a unique experience. Red Hook is an interesting neighborhood with a number of restaurants and breweries and easy access to Manhattan via the ferry. The Food Bazaar store is an easy walk if you need groceries and they have everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Juliette's place! It is just as the listing describes - beautifully decorated, comfortable, quiet, safe and conveniently located in a lovely family oriented community, with super easy access to the Metro. Juliette was super friendly, thoughtful and responsive to our needs. She provided us with a wealth of information about nearby things to do and places to see. We really enjoyed visiting with her, and she was also very respectful of our privacy, making her the wonderful host she is. Our daughter lives nearby and we plan to stay at Juliette's place in our future visits there. We're just so happy to have found such a perfect spot and highly recommend staying at Juliette's to others.

I feel so lucky to find Andrew/Adriana’s for my stay in Brooklyn! Hosts are very responsive and I really loved the room. It is spacious, cozy and even more well decorated than pictures. Many things that guests (might) need are there and you’d notice right away how experienced and considerate the hosts are! Adriana is so knowledgeable about the neighborhood and I wish I had more time to explore options in the guidebook. It is not right next to tourist places but I loved the chance to look around the neighborhood and there are a lot of good places in walkable distance. And if you are using public transportation, it is so close from station and easy to find! If you have too many late night schedules, then it might not be the best place as the neighborhood is pretty quite but for that reason it was the best place to take quiet rest when you come back from schedule. Highly recommend for those looking for cozy space in this area! Thanks so much Adriana/Andrew:)

This was a fabulous find in the heart of Brooklyn. Near all bus and train connections. Great local food (Not Rays has great pizza). Plus Douglas was the perfect host, giving us directions and recommendations which were spot on. He has a beautiful space in a quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning in the future.

We really loved this appartement as our home base for our stay in New York City. It’s really clean, cozy and we just felt like home. The neighborhood is also great. It looks beautiful and there are many options to get food, drinks and do some shopping. We also loved Linda as our host and were happy to be her guest. We know where to stay, when we are going to visit Brooklyn / NYC again.

Nice, relatively quiet/peaceful Brooklyn neighborhood, easy to park on the street and close to several train lines. Enough space for two couples (if you’re close friends - the murphy bed is in between the back bedroom and the bathroom) or a small family, with a cute little back patio seating area. Sean was especially nice and made check in, etc. super easy. Recommend Before Coffee down the street and the Northern Italian restaurant Testo right next door.

This place is hands down, one of the best Airbnbs that I’ve ever stayed in. The apartment was easy to find and looked just like the pictures. The unit is ground level however it is very quiet and you feel very safe. Everything was spotless and you can tell that Elgha takes great care of her property. Elgha is extremely responsive and very friendly. I highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to come back.

From Ireland and was travelling to see family in Brooklyn. I found James&Laureta’s air BnB while checking out the areas to stay and the place was immaculate, so local to everything including transport, food,bars etc. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Brooklyn and will definitely be back!

My husband and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the amazing home of Peter and Jess! It is so welcoming, beautifully laid out and has every amenity a guest could need, plus extra thoughtful touches. Check-in was a breeze, the home was immaculate and our bedroom seriously had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! Having the rarity of a backyard to enjoy - especially in Brooklyn - was such an added bonus, and they went out of their way to welcome our dogs! The location was perfect - everything you could ever need, including restaurants and shops, is in walking distance. We were able to find nearby parking throughout our visit. The privilege of being guests in their beautiful home for the weekend of our son's wedding added so much enjoyment and comfort to such a celebratory event!

We had a very nice stay in Lindas apartment. It was comfortable and beautiful at the same time! Linda was easy to access when needed - and very welcoming. She provided useful information about things to do, restaurants etc. nearby which was an excellent way to Bedford-Stuyvesant. We would definitely like to return! Nika & Åsa

We enjoyed staying at Migdalia’s! It was just as described and pictured, and felt like a real home, with 2 full bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen, a large living room, and a nice and well equipped bathroom. The beds were comfortable and even though it’s in the middle of Brooklyn, we all found it very quiet at night and a peaceful place to stay. Migdalia was very helpful and communicative and we would be very happy to stay there again!

An excellent place to stay in Harlem, centrally located near the 125th street subway station. You can easily get anywhere you want to go quick and easy. Lots of good restaurants nearby, along with bodegas and a (albeit expensive) grocery store. Its nice that the owners live on site, and they were very helpful and friendly. Having a big tub with jets in the room is a huge bonus if you aren't used to the amount of walking you are in for in NY. I'll definitely be back!

Everything about this apartment was excellent. Locale, layout, spotless. Couldn't get enough of both the daytime and nighttime views. Steven was an excellent host. Communicative, answered my myriad of questions, provided recommendations for a great nearby grocery and wine store that we frequented several times. Easy to get a taxi and a short walk to the subway. Started to feel like a local after just a day or so! This will for sure be our go-to place next time we visit NYC.

Nicely renovated basement apartment. Ben was a wonderful host and made our stay comfortable. Kitchen had everything that we needed and having a designated parking spot was great. It is a short walk away from the apartment. Backyard was ideal has we were traveling with our dog. Location was perfect for our event at Liberty State Park. Would recommend if you plan to visit Jersey City.

Wonderful place,enjoyed my stay

Ed was very easy to communicate with, we had questions or wanted clarification and he was fast to respond in a very friendly and welcoming manner. This place was super clean, and comfortable.

My sister and I had a short overnight stay and we absolutely loved it! It’s such a cute place. It was just as described and perfect for the night. The host was very quick and responsive to our inquiries. The building is very easy to find and we felt safe with security in the building. The neighborhood is nice. The day of check out we walked around and ate at a local restaurants. We definitely will be back and recommend!

The view is priceless. By day, by night, anytime. The apartment itself is great, too: spacious, well furnished, a huge kitchen, perfectly equipped. Less than 20 minutes by bus to Times Square, but located in a calm and safe neighborhood across the Hudson River. For some, the steps up to the fifth floor might be an impediment, but that’s really the only issue I could think of. Absolute recommendation!
