Monthly Rentals in Black Balsam Knob

The home was nice, no complaints, would stay again. But the stars here are the hosts. I was here for Hurricane Helene. The storm damage was honestly minimal compared to what I would later see in some of the harder hit areas, but I was blocked in by a small mudslide for just a day or so. The hosts happened to be out on vacation, but even through the cellular disruptions, they managed to maintain constant contact and coordinated assistance from neighbors. They took care of me like family.

The cabin was beautiful, just like the pictures! The landscape was so well kept. Everything we needed was there. I will rebook again soon.

The cottage was everything I was looking for for a solo weekend getaway. I always love visiting Western North Carolina and can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful little cabin getaway at the top of a mountain side. Wife and I spent Christmas and NYE up here in the cold with pristine views of the night sky. Chie and Phil have done an excellent job in ensuring that everything you’d need to be comfortable and cook meals for yourself are available. You’ll certainly want to make sure that you’re proficient and comfortable with a choppy and rough road each time you leave (suggest stockpiling all the supplies you might want to use to minimize trips off mountain). We look forward to coming back in the spring or summer to really enjoy the warmer weather.
