This small cabin for two is perched on a granite ledge, overlooking a rushing river. It is comprised of two small structures connected by a deck. The first structure is a converted shipping container that has a kitchen, bathroom, living room, and outdoor patio. The second structure contains a cozy sleeping cabin, glass sunroom, and stone fireplace. The hot tub is nestled in to the woods overlooking the river, accessible by a lighted trail. The area: The cabin is a one hour drive from Seattle, and just minutes outside of Granite Falls, WA. This area is often refered to as the gateway to the Cascades, and the cabin is just a 20-minute drive to some of the best hiking and most beautiful natural features that Washington has to offer. Some of our favorite hikes include: Gothic Basin, Big Four Ice Caves, Mt. Pilchuck Fire Lookout, Lake Twenty-Two, and Heather Lake. Our cabins are in a small and private community. While we encourage guests to visit the nearby park and to explore the trails on the Cascade Loop Highway, we ask guests to please refrain from wandering the private roads of the community, as the neighbors appreciate their privacy. Frequently Asked Questions: Do you allow dogs? — Yes. We are dog friendly, but do not allow other pets. Can I check-in early or check-out late? — No. Our cabins are often booked back-to-back, and our cleaners need time to prepare the cabin for the next guest. There is not a good area to hang out in while the cleaning is being finished so it's best to arrive at check-in time. What's in the kitchen? — The kitchen is small and stocked with the basics: stovetop, microwave, pots, dishes, spices, dry goods. One thing to take note of when planning your meals is that there is not an oven at this cabin, however we do have a BBQ grill. What's the coffee situation? — We keep Stamp Act coffee, an electric grinder, and a stainless steel french press at the cabin. What's a good restaurant or bar nearby? — We recommend spending as much time at the cabin and in nature as possible. So, plan to bring food and drinks with you. Local favorites in town include Omega pizza (takout pizza and salads) and the Spar Tree (local bar).

High River Haven: riverfront cottage w/ spa

High River Haven is a cozy two bedroom bungalow set on the high banks of the Skykomish River and minutes from Stevens Pass snow sports or Cascade mountain hiking and adventures. A new remodel was completed in 2019 adding cabin accents such as exposed wood beams, stone accent wall, and butcher block counters, and the upstairs recently remodeled into a "mother-in-law" feel with a King bedroom and half-bath.

eo and Vivian’s home was absolutely beautiful—airy, open, and thoughtfully designed. It had everything we needed for family dinners, plenty of entertainment options, and tons of great outdoor spaces to relax in. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the shower was so soothing—it felt like a little spa moment each day. I usually have a hard time getting comfortable while traveling, but I truly felt right at home here. We’ll definitely be back—no doubt about it! Thank you both so much for being such wonderful hosts!

Me and my boyfriend travelled from Kirkland WA, which is about 2 hrs away, to stay in the mountains and have some peaceful relaxation time. This place gave us just that, Maple Falls is a very tiny with very friendly people, it’s about an easy 45 minute drive to Mount Baker. The Airbnb was quiet, peaceful and clean, 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

I’ve stayed at a decent amount of Airbnb’s. This place was my favorite to date. Courtney and Jeff are so kind and responsive. Their home was beautiful, relaxing, super peaceful and had everything we needed. The scenery is PNW gorgeous and we enjoyed the hot tub for hours. I’m beyond appreciative for the experience. I will be back! Easy 5 stars.

This property is stunning and possibly my favorite Airbnb rental I have ever been to. The location is quiet and right on the beach, very easy to find with excellent parking! The views are perfection! The house was beautifully decorated and had everything we could need and more. Loved the little touches of coffee pods, bathroom products and extra blankets. We will absolutely be back!

Little house was clean and sharp! Had everything and some than what we expected nor have experienced in previous Airbnb stays else where. Elizabeth is an amazing host, easy to communicate and responds promptly as well. Makes this little house cozy with all the details she put in to make you feel right at home from the fresh baked bagels from a local shop, the chalkboard welcome sign and can’t forget the wine bottle and sugar scrub also. The stay at the Little Red A Frame was delightful! It was less secluded than I thought it would be but still a great stay. The reviews had mentioned the train and the river but I could hear the road with cars more than the train. It wasn't terrible but I was picturing a little more secluded and in "the woods" and looking forward to being away from other people. Even though it was near other houses, the neighbors seemed welcoming and I really didn't hear them at all. It was a great location for a quick getaway and nearby some awesome hikes that we got to partake in. The hot tub and fireplace were so great to have after a great hike! While the layout was a little unusual, I loved the loft with the beds on the floor and had two amazing nights of sleep. Overall, it was a great weekend stay with some friends.

My wife, son, and dog stayed at Fred’s place for over a month in late December and all of January. We needed to be close to town and his place was perfect for us. His place is clean, well laid out, has all the amenities you need, and has great views of Mt Baker and the surrounding area. The neighborhood is quiet and very walkable. We also couldn’t have asked for a better host. Fred is kind, responsive, and flexible. We highly recommend his place and would stay there again if the opportunity presented itself.

My husband and I enjoyed the Eagles nest! We loved how private it was and that it is dog friendly. The hot tub and sauna were a big plus! There are so many things to look at in the cabin and while walking the grounds. It is located only a few minutes drive from a park and from the downtown. Host was quick to respond to messages and flexible when we needed to change dates slightly. We would love to return one day!
