Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Bernina District

Gorgeous view, very well equipped, very private - we will come back!

The house in itself is very nice, on 3 levels with a kitchen/living room on the lower one and sleeping quarters/bathroom in the moddle and upper ones. It feels cozy. The view from town is very nice - mountains look big and there are some walking trails nearby. No traffic of course. Now, two things that I would underline, not necessarily bad ones by any means: first, the lack of wifi. There is extremely little signal so you'd likely have to rely on an additional data plan if you are not Swiss, as we did. Secondly, the road up to the pass. We are used to mountain roads but this one is quite tight in parts and I can understand how unnerving it could be for someone that is not used to that, or has large cars, or has to drive it with ice/snow. We luckily had no ice/snow, despite low temps. Overall it was very much worth it, great place to unplug and reconnect to the basics.

The apartment is completely newly remodeled and everything is very clean. The kitchen equipment looks partly like unused. It is helpful to arrive by car, even if the train runs directly opposite. Many small places, for example for hikes, can be reached much faster by car. Restaurants are also more uncomplicated by car, otherwise you have to pay a lot to pay attention to the train connections. We thought the apartment was closer to Brusio (it was in the listing), but it is in a small village south of it. Anastasia was very friendly and gave us excursion tips.

Beautiful week of family vacation immersed in a beautiful, magical place. Riccardo is a kind, friendly host, and always available. She greeted us in person by taking us to the house and illustrating the accommodation. The house is immersed in nature, perfect to rest after days spent in the mountains. The beds are a little uncomfortable, otherwise the house is very well equipped. Of course there is a lack of TV and wi-fi (which would be useful for us Italians who in Switzerland pay a lot for the use of the phone). We sincerely hope to be back. Highly recommended!

Stella matutina is very nicely located, and is surrounded by green trees and bushes, on the horizon you can see the mountain ranges. The house is very nicely cut and equipped with a lot of taste. We immediately felt at home. It is very well located, so you can either get to Poschiavo quickly, or quickly on the Bernina Pass.

Lucrezia's place was very pleasant and very easy to find. Location is perfect to find restaurants in Italy and mountains to hike. The self-check in was specially easy and Lucrezia was always available for questions. We just missed the kettle, dishwasher and more cups but other than that, the place was up to expectations :)

had a wonderful stay at this location! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and spotlessly clean. The house is less than a 3-minute walk from Brusio station, which is super convenient if you want to take the train to Tirano or into the Engadin. The garden is absolutely beautiful—I spent an afternoon reading among the plants and it was just perfect. I highly recommend this place!

The room and bathroom were very nice and we liked it. The region is fantastically beautiful. Everything was very straightforward. We would recommend it right away.

Achille and Verena are wonderful and hospitable hosts. They welcomed us on our arrival, providing us with tips and useful information on how to organize the vacation. The house is very comfortable and in a very quiet location. The Bernina train station is very easy to reach. We hope to be back soon.

The apartment is small but tastefully decorated and feely very cozy. The kitchen is extremely well furnished, we had everything we needed to cook our meals and more. The apartment is well insulated: it is next to the road but during the night with the window closed we did not hear anything. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. We have been there in summer, but the lifts to a couple of mountains are very close by and the train statin is right across the road. I would definitely recommend and would stay again if we were to come back to the area. Thank you for everything Maddalena!

We enjoyed the apartment very much. The living room has plenty of space and very comfortable armchairs. The kitchen was well equipped. The location is central, but still quiet. Very close to the Train Station. Poschiavo is a pretty village by eating very well. We will be happy to come back and warmly recommend the accommodation to other families or couples.

We were able to fully enjoy our vacation in the beautiful apartment. The stylish apartment with the panelled ceilings and the sunny balcony decorated with geraniums is conveniently furnished - we lacked nothing. The hosts were very kind and even invited us to a fine aperitif in the garden. Le Prese is well-served by public transport (train, bus). It has a village shop with fresh baked goods and regional products. We were able to take many beautiful hikes and, thanks to the call buses, also explore the side valleys with the fantastically beautiful mountain lakes. In Val Poschiavo there are many mountain restaurants with excellent cuisine (Selva, San Romerio, Cavaglia) and also the Museeun in Poschiavo are very worthwhile.

Paolo was very welcoming. He greeted us in person with fruit and a lovely bottle of wine. The place was clean and large enough for our group. Paolo also gave me the name of a driver to taxi us back and forth from the train station. The driver was also fair and friendly.

Personal warm welcome with lots of tips for the area. Cozy apartment, right at the Miralago train station. Everything and more is available in the apartment. We will be happy to come back.

My family and I had a relaxing stay at Diana’s place. You can tell she has really thought through how to make her guests feel comfortable and at home. The apartment was calm, cozy and clean. The kitchen was one the best kitchens I have encountered via Airbnb amenity wise. Simple but clean and thoughtful. Loved sitting on the terrace with our morning coffee.

We spent some nice late autumn days in the Engadine, Tino & Melissa's apartment were a great starting point for our hikes in the Upper Engadine. Well-equipped & cozy apartment, good public transport connections despite mid-season to St. Moritz, Maloja and Pontresina.

Beautiful place and close to wonderful restaurants! Would highly recommend! Make sure you get trash bags from the Coop.

Wonderful stay with Patricia, the apartment is located right at the end of the village with an incredibly beautiful view of the mountains. Also raclette and fondue for 2 people available, a perfect place for a nice trip to Switzerland. Many cross-country trails right outside the door and nice little place :)

It was a wonderful place surrounded by beautiful mountains. Mascetti is friendly and very responsive. Apartment was clean and as described in photos. Will be looking forward to come again.

Great, super clean, cozy and convenient apartment with a beautiful view. All the amenities are of very high quality. The checkin instructions are clear, secure parking available. Many trailheads are right outside from the place. Grocery store a couple of minutes away.
