I think the Chef’s Shed might be the nicest AirBnB I’ve ever stayed in. The place is absolutely gorgeous and as lovely as the photos. It’s a really amazing space filled with character and lovely little touches like the cosy loft where you can read books, the outdoor daybed, the chooks to feed and the sun setting behind a treeful of cockatoos in the evening. The kitchen lived up to its promise and was equipped with professional equipment. We cooked every night and it made for some great family time. Anneke was a kind and attentive host bringing us fresh eggs from the chooks, and the apple crumble and other goodies when we arrived were much appreciated. She also happens to be a talented photographer and her works are among the artworks on the walls. The location is peaceful and there’s plenty of space. I could go on and on. We’d definitely love to come back some time.

Great place for a family getaway. We had lovely weather however the fire pit was the highlight. We were able to take our pooch which was great however there are no fences, but our boy doesn’t runaway so it was fine for us. Just a note the single bed is probably perfect for a child rather than an adult but suited our needs. Had a fantastic time

A lovely house in beautiful peaceful location. Very comfortable, with everything we needed and lots of helpful labels to help find everything. Really well equipped kitchen, and our host was super friendly and helpful. We didn't get to stay long enough to fully enjoy all it had to offer, but we hope to come back another time. Thank you.

We had a wonderful family getaway at Ann’s place! It was the perfect escape from the city—peaceful, scenic, and full of charm. The cottage offered stunning views, and we loved being surrounded by so many animals. The kids especially fell in love with the dogs and are already missing them! The location is also ideal, with easy access to Hanging Rock and the lovely towns around the Macedon Ranges. We’d absolutely love to come back again!

Genevieve did everything possible to make our stay a great experience. I booked this as a surprise birthday getaway for my partner, and without me having to ask, Genevieve added a bunch of little treats to celebrate. Everything was super clean, and the little things like turning on the towel heater was a great touch for our stay. Both my partner and I had the best time, using the fire pit to toast marshmallows gifted to us by the hosts, and enjoying the beautiful sunrise with a cup of tea overlooking the most peaceful landscape. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a nice getaway, it is so worth the money.

Neal was a great host from check in to check out! All the thoughtful extras were appreciated. The cottage felt very welcoming and homely on arrival and throughout our stay. A beautiful base to travel within the Central Goldfields region. Neal's knowledge of the area and recommendations were appreciated as we were able to visit some of these places which we enjoyed.

Wonderful stay in Kyneton. Jane’s communication was prompt and responsive. Cosy and comfortable space with everything needed. Appreciated the chocolate, milk, eggs, bread, coffee. The house was thoughtfully decorated and stocked with everything we needed for our one-week stay! Lovely touches like bread, chocolates, etc. Elizabeth was very responsive and accomodating. Spacious house inside and out. Fireplace and electric blankets helped keep us warm at night. Farm views (and occasionally, smells 😅) were very peaceful.

Overall a lovely place, spacious and comfortable. Host was very helpful and responsive. The only thing worth noting for us was how squeaky the floor boards were. This normally wouldn’t bother us but we were staying with our toddler and this made it hard to get out of the bedroom after settling her and for us to just move around while she was asleep. Otherwise, a lovely place to stay.

We had such a wonderful stay in mt Macedonia over the long weekend. We spent most of the time hanging out in the lounge room and playing pool at night. It was great for 3 families. We visited hanging rock one morning and had a counter meal at the local hotel. We also saw kangaroos in the mornings. Adam was a great host, really quick with communication and had some great tips for the region. Thanks Adam and Erika x

I would highly recommend staying at Annie’s place! It was a beautiful, peaceful space and had everything you could need. Annie and Josef were great friendly hosts. The location was perfect being close to the lake as well!

I loved staying at Sally's penthouse, it was spacious and comfortable. I loved how central it was. We were able to walk to the gallery for the art exhibition we came to see. Even though we had a car we walked everywhere, to Coles and out for lunch. Would definitely recommend a stay at Sally's.
