Tethera Nook - a beautifully crafted retreat

Matthew James RichardRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We had a lovely stay at Tethera Nook with our dog Luna! Emma and Craig were brilliant and it was lovely to see them working so hard on their gorgeous garden while we were there! It provided a lovely place to sit with a drink in the mornings! Their very friendly dog Capone always happy to come and say hello! It felt very private the whole week, walking distance to Kendal town, and we even hiked up to Scouts Scar which was recommended in the guide book (the views definitely did not disappoint). Tethera nook had everything we needed for our stay and with it being extremely hot the fan was an added bonus in keeping us and our dog cool! The eggs and veg that Emma leaves out is incredible and the little gifts of brownies, gin and jams on our arrival kept us going for the whole week! Everything was just perfect for our relaxing week away in the lakes, with close links to the rest of the national park! We would absolutely stay here again!

The Black Triangle Cabin

SarahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We absolutely love it here. This was our second visit and it never disappoints. Very peaceful and feels very remote, despite only being a 5 minute drive away from Jedburgh. Giles as a host is brilliant too and nothing is a bit of bother for him. Without a doubt we will be back!

Luxury Cabin With Hot Tub, Sauna & Outdoor Dining

We had a fantastic stay. Very relaxing and clean! If I was being really picky, it could use a couple more sets of cutlery/plates and pots and pans. But as a 4 person booking, we managed!

Romantic Off-grid retreat in North Pennines AONB

JackRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a stunning place to say. The cottage was surrounded with views and inside has loads of character! Will definitely look to book again in the future. I thankfully had nice weather so managed to make use of the garden to sit and work on my laptop, there was some seats to use which is great. Cottage was clean and cozy, I almost expected to feel a little bit cold (which I would’ve been happy with) but it was so inviting and warm inside I’d have happily moved in. Hosts were super helpful, instructions getting to the lodge were helpful and clear including getting into the cottage. Wouldn’t be the best if you had a lowered car just for the track but so nice to be away from the road and not overlooked! Can not recommend enough!!

Charming isolated cottage, Redesmouth, Bellingham

MarnieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Absolutely loved our long weekend break at Terri's cottage. It was everything we needed it to be for relaxation and local walks. Cottage was really cosy and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and the space worked perfectly for us as a family of 4 with 2 dogs. The lovely enclosed back garden meant we didn't have to worry about the dogs. Everyone slept really well due to comfy beds and quality bed linen. Definitely would recommend this cottage and hope to visit again as didn't manage to do all the walks we would have liked to.

The Snug - Lake District, Kendal

M. RosemaryRating, 5 stars3 days ago
The Snug was the most beautiful small holiday rental I have ever stayed in; I loved everything about it, but especially the old beams and the lumpy walls, the view of the parish church at night, and the reading nook. Really comfortable bed, great shower, spotless kitchen. The stairs are steep, winding and narrow, and obviously there's a ladder up to the mezzanine so it wouldn't be good if someone had mobility issues, but I think that comes across quite clearly in the description and photos. Really convenient for shops, river, theatre, good paths for walking/running from the door. Park in the parish church car park if you're going to be going out in the rush hour - it's a near-death experience to get out of the Peppercorn in heavy traffic due to the blind corner! If you're tempted, just go for it, it's a gem 😍
