This was a stunning location and a calm and peaceful setting, within easy reach of Sedbergh and the Lake District. The pod was immaculately clean and tidy and there was nothing more needed . The family greeted us for a friendly chat as we passed through the yard when coming and going which was nice, we felt welcomed. This is a working farm, and it was great to have the area around the pod fenced in as there were sheep and lambs nearby and hens roaming freely, so we knew the dog was secure in the fenced area. We were able to sit out well into the evening undercover on the patio furniture which was a great addition and sheltered from the wind. We have felt very relaxed following our break and recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Amazing place with lovely hosts. The space is wonderful with comfy beds and gorgepus shower. Perfect location for a countryside getaway. Gillian and Rowli are perfect hosts and are always good for a chat.

I booked this property to celebrate my fiancé’s 30th birthday with family. Everyone loved the house and everything that came with it. We struggled a little to find the property but Julie was helpful over the phone. Julie & her husband welcomed us and had kindly set up beers in an ice bucket for arrival which was a lovely start. All the rooms / living room / games room / kitchen all very clean and tidy. The kitchen had everything to cook easily & big fridge for all the food for everyone. Iron & iron board / hairdryer easily found. We had trouble lighting the fire on the outdoor table but they were quickly round and rectified it and got it going. We thought it was great that the wood / coal / fire starters were included as we did use the fire pit and BBQ multiple times. The games room was brilliant, the pool table and darts board was a hit! The cosiest birthday trip away. Kirsty’s cottage was the perfect little retreat after a day of exploring the beautiful Lake District. Kirsty thought of absolutely everything which is listed in her manual. 100% recommended. Thank you so much Kirsty and family!
