We had the best time here and Jonathan and Hollie went above and beyond for us! They lent us a portable grill, provided plenty of water and wood, and even offered to drive us to the train station on our way out as we didn’t have a car. It was the most lovely little getaway and exactly what we were looking for! Ruby’s breakfast cafe is conveniently located in the parking lot and was the perfect start to the day! I’m celiac, and they were very accommodative. We had an incredible weekend filled with lots of hikes and pub trips. The area is a bit more remote — so perfect if you’re looking to unwind in nature. Super recommend!

Jo was such a great host and definitely met expectations! would also recommend the in-room massage treatments. It made our special occasion just that much better.

We had a wonderful stay at Apple Tree Cottage. My partner had to work in the day so I was often on my own, however, I felt totally safe and comfortable. The cottage offers a bolt hole from every day life, beautifully decorated with the cosy log fire, a tub big enough to soak in, a super comfy bed and thoughtful touches that makes your stay special. The views were stunning, admired from the hot tub and the porch swing. The wildlife from deer to donkeys were a highlight of the stay. We loved bobbing about on the lake in the rowing boat provided, and watching the stars and full moon at night. We also walked for miles as you are free to explore the farm and beyond. It probably goes without saying that we did not want to leave. Thank you for a wonderful stay, for being so responsive whilst offering privacy, and for sharing your little piece of heaven with us. A relaxing and restorative holiday.

Lovely fun host. Cabin was caringly prepared and was comfortable, clean and private. Great experience, hope to stay there again.
