What a lovely cottage! Julie and Nigel's cottage is a real home from home, and it matches the photographs perfectly. Thoughtfully decorated, and made to feel homely with blankets, pictures, books etc. Homemade bread and delicious muffins, plus milk and tea and good coffee were most welcome. I appreciated the use of Eco friendly cleaning products and shampoos etc. Comfortable bed with cotton duvet cover and comfy pillows. Big, fluffy towels were great. There are maps and suggestions of places to visit and eat. Julie sent me some recommendations too which were helpful. Friendly neighbours who are keen to share information too. It is perfect for two people - and our dog was made ever so welcome too. Julie and Nigel were responsive to messages right from booking to the end of our stay. Beautiful little cottage, well equipped and appointed. Very close to main tourist attractions such as holy island, Bamburgh castle, the Farne islands and many more, yet set in a peaceful and private location. Really enjoyed our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Clive's Cottage. The farm and location where beautiful with spring flowers and lambs everywhere. Attractions such as Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island were conveniently close and with visiting. I can highly recommend the stay and would come back again.

We had a fantastic stay! Kate was incredibly proactive with her communication—checking in with us on the day and ensuring everything was clear and thoughtfully arranged. The cottage was warm, welcoming, and very well equipped. The setting was peaceful and serene—perfect for a relaxing getaway, yet still conveniently close to civilization. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into creating a smooth, enjoyable experience, with personal touches that reflect thoughtful consideration and past feedback. I would highly recommend this listing. As a host, Kate absolutely deserves recognition—Kate went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable.
