Dot and Dave were amazing hosts, and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Dot was warm and welcoming — the kind of host who makes you feel instantly at home. She struck the perfect balance: always ready to help, yet respectful of your space so you could fully relax and enjoy the space. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and their hospitality really added a special touch to the trip. I would absolutely stay again and highly recommend their place to anyone looking for a truly lovely experience.

We had a fantastic stay at The Old Smithy! The accommodation was excellent, beautiful, comfortable, and set in an idyllic location. It’s perfectly situated between Bristol and Bath, making it a great base for exploring. Our dog absolutely loved the area, especially exploring the grounds. The host was amazing, providing clear and helpful instructions throughout. To top it off, there’s a lovely pub just around the corner. Highly recommend!

Really spacious and well kitted out property and just the peaceful retreat we needed. We imagine it would be easy to stay here in comfort for at more than a week with the facilities provided and the space indoors. The deck was a lovely spot for breakfast or to star gaze and listen to sheep after dark.

Jane and Paul's Hayloft is a cozy, comfortable space with lots of interesting memorabilia and pictures, matching what you see in the photos. Paul was on hand to welcome me, and Jane stopped by later to make sure I understood how everything worked. The Hayloft is well placed for visitors using on foot and/or using public transport, although I recommend taking a taxi from the railway station if you've got heavy luggage. The town itself is very walkable, with lots to see and do. The high street - Cheap Street - is bustling, with more unique -and ordinary - shops than some towns of twice its size.
