Ed’s place was cute and provided what we needed. Comfortable bed and hot showers were great. We are birdwatchers and it wasn’t unusual to see around 30 species either at his feeder or yard. Ed was a fountain of information about Costa Rica as we are looking for a place to settle in this beautiful country. We spent most mornings at the feeder in a comfortable char with a cup of coffee and great conversation. Thanks Ed, for everything.

If you are looking for a tranquil place to unwind, this place will do the trick. In fact, if you stay long enough, you may have a difficult time leaving as we did. I made it a point each day to get up at sunrise (Tico Time) which in mid-to-late May meant roughly 4:52 a.m. I don’t even do that at home, but I learned that Costa Rican skies can change dramatically throughout the day in a matter of 1-2 minutes especially from this location high atop a mountainside. Although one sunrise and sunset in particular took our breath away, each one was special. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world! Pablo and Tatiana made everything so easy for us. The kitchenette has everything that you could possibly need. The feria in Atenas is not far away. If you want groceries delivered, you have that option too. The trek up the mountain is a bit challenging, but the location is also secured. We felt very safe during our entire stay. Enjoy!

The environment created , the peaceful surroundings,the nature,the wildlife take you away from the world of work and let you breathe peace ,relaxation and beauty, it fell like the jungle is hugging you and everything around you allowing you to admire with detail the scenery and all his elements, the house offers great comfort and convenience… we will come back .
