Gardener's Cottage, Glenlyon

MattRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Gardeners Cottage sits in an absolutely beautiful location in Glen Lyon with stunning views down to Carn Gorm. It's a great spot for Munros - either climbing them or just looking out at them from the safety and warmth of the wood fired hot tub. The hot tub is easy to use and quick to heat (which we were thankful for in the -5° weather!). The cottage itself is clean and homely with great views out of every window and houses an extensive collection of books, DVDs and board games for those slow days. It's also a stonesthrow from a beautiful stretch of river and a waterfall is a short walk away. Huge thanks to Ainster (the keeper) for being on hand when needed!

Beautiful getaway in a lovely location. Stayed here for a few days whilst we travelled up Glencoe mountain for some skiing and it was the perfect spot. The hot tub was really the deciding factor. The area was lovely and quiet, a very short walk away from the villa, lacking a bit in nice restaurants which did leave us wanting more of a big kitchen to cook but perfectly adequate for small meals. Check-in was nice and easy, the place clean and tidy and it had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend this property and would stay again if in the area.

Serendipity Cottage w/ hot tub (wood-fired)

We stayed for 2 nights in Chloe & Brad’s lovely cottage in Fort William with family, and it was a fantastic experience. The place was cosy, clean, and well-equipped — perfect for a family getaway. The views of the surrounding hills were absolutely stunning, and it was a peaceful base to explore the Highlands. Chloe & Brad were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Fort William!

Outstanding! The cottage was perfect: from the views of the three lochs, the castle, and the surrounding countryside to the relaxing and private amenities and yard. We couldn’t be more pleased with the rental and especially the hosts Karen and Graham. We would highly recommend their 5-star property!

Great place to stay while exploring the local area. The apartment has everything you need including food and cooking basics. Spotless and comfortable. Welcoming to our children and dog. Beautiful spot with incredible views - only slight thing to be aware of is the power station next door but that didn't spoil our enjoyment at all.

The Sailean Bothy, Island of Lismore

GillianRating, 5 stars2 days ago
A perfect weekend break ! Despite the rain, it was wonderful. The location on the shore is idyllic and our retriever was never out of the sea - until the tide went out ! We saw seals a few times which was lovely. The bothy is really well equipped and has everything you need for cooking and staying warm. The solar inside lights were super efficient and lasted all evening and we cooked a whole (delicious) chicken, bought from the farm in the oven. Dave and Alison are wonderful hosts. The island cafe is the perfect refuge from the rain for soup, hot sandwiches and lovely cakes. As advised on the listing, if possible, take wellies. We would love to come back !

We really enjoyed our stay at Tigh Beag. The house was well presented and met all our needs. There is a lovely large lounge and kitchen/dining room which is great for larger parties. There were only 3 in our party so the house gave us plenty of space to enjoy. It is in a beautiful setting and very quiet.

Large kitchen table allows whole family to sit together, ethanol fireplace and lots of candles in living room create a cozy atmosphere. The parking lot is private and just next to kitchen door. If you are looking for country escape with family or discovering the Scottish Highlands this property is for you! Also Catrina is very helpful and responsive.

Charming cottage in a truly special spot

HenryRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had an amazing time at East Lodge & Shona was an amazing & helpful host. We felt right at home the moment we entered the property. Although we had a couple of issues finding the property due to arriving later than we anticipated and working out the heating, Shona was there to reply to our messages straight away and sort any issues we had. It is a perfect location if you want to travel to different areas of the Highlands and explore. We would love to visit again. Thank you for an amazing stay Shona.

Gorgeous cottage with stunning loch& mountain view

JohnRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The cottage was very well-presented and we were able to settle in very quickly. The log-burning stove was excellent and soon had the main living space toasty warm. There were plenty of logs available which was nice as the first few days were pretty cold. The facilities in the cottage were great with clear instructions in the House manual. It is an excellent base for driving to Glencoe or up to Fort William and Glen Nevis. The walks there were lovely but the weather wasn't always obliging so it was nice to have such a cosy retreat to come back to. We enjoyed the visit to Glenfinnan viaduct and the Ben Nevis distillery but definitely recommend the walk up Glen Nevis to the An Steahl waterfall. There are so many places to visit so we know we will be coming back to this area soon. A big thank you to Fiona who responded so promptly to all our questions and was so helpful with her suggestions.

Boutique Highland paradise

SharonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We were looking for a beautifully relaxing week away and we couldn't have found a better cottage. Immaculate throughout, comfy beds, powerful showers, and everything you could need! home delivery from Asda was pretty spot on and arrived an hour after we did so that was perfect! The location is absolutely stunning 😍 Views of the Loch from the kitchen, the mountains from the sitting room. Sheep and lambs pottering on the other side of the garden, birds singing and everything else was just so peaceful. the views driving to and from the cottage are spectacular, and the instructions to get there were so easy to follow. We visited Pitlochry and Aberfeldy, and would highly recommend a trip to Aberfeldy. Without a doubt, if we're to go back the Highlands we'd book the cottage again. Thanks for providing such a high standard property!
