Cottage vacation rentals in Bamburgh

Honeymug provided the perfect backdrop for our group of six meeting up to reminisce about college days forty odd years ago! The cottage was comfortable and cosy and the welcome basket of goodies was indeed most welcome! Very comfortable beds to sleep off the long, coastal walks and swims in the indoor pool. We ate in The Bosk on our last evening and enjoyed it very much, having sampled the Friday evening pizzas too! Everyone was a fan of the outdoor jacuzzi, which we booked each evening and whirled away an hour chatting to the various local members we shared it with! Everyone was so friendly and we learned a lot about the area. Highlights were our boat trip to Inner Farne, an afternoon with the Chillingham cattle, and a day spent on the beautiful and peaceful Lindisfarne. We left feeling there was so much else to discover and we'll hope to be back to do just that! Many thanks John!

We had a lovely couple of days at Laburnum Cottage, it’s a beautiful cottage and location. Hopefully we’ll get back one day.

Comfortable home in beautiful surroundings. Really responsive and friendly host. En-suite bathrooms to each bedroom and the beds were super comfy. Great parking and charger for electric car - lovely walks nearby along the river and the horse in the field behind had just given birth to a foal so our daughter was mesmerised. Oh I forgot the hot tub - that was great too!

Genuinely amazing little place to stay, in a beautiful part of the world. We were even greeted with a lemon drizzle cake :) 10/10 would recommend!

we visited to go to a wedding locally, so did not get to see to much of the local sites, but our stay was very comfortable and very pleased with the cottage as the weather meant we spent more time inside than we had planned. well done on providing such a nice cottage.

The cottage was beautiful. It was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. It was lovely that Nicola had catered for our dog also. The area is beautiful located near enough to other villages and towns if driving. The hot tub was amazing. Overall we loved our stay and would recommend it to others. Had a fantastic stay at Silver Fox Barn. Came for a last minute mid-week break and was not disappointed. Jonathan was quick to organise everything and very detailed with his instructions. The property itself is lovely, modern but very homely feeling with everything we needed and more. Located in a very pretty and quiet area, but still very close to everywhere you'd like to visit in the area. Also went for dinner at one of the recommended restaurants just 10 minutes drive away and not disappointed. We would gladly recommend and return again in future!

A lovely cosy, comfortable and clean cottage. Great value. In a great location and within walking distance of the beautiful beach and coastal walks, also good choice of local eating places. Highly recommended.

Great place for 2 reasons, very clean and comfortable house and amazing location. 20min walk to Embleton Bay, right behind the Dunstable Hotel if you fancy s drink or a meal, 5 min walk to the local Village shop or 15 min drive to a main supermarket. Electric car station 5 minutes walking.

Just wow! We’ve just got back from a simply amazing stay at Pam & Richard’s beautiful cottage. Some highlights for us were: 1) the little touches from treats for the dog to home baking, we felt so well looked after 2) the beautiful surroundings, it was so peaceful, no photos can really do it justice 3) the cottage itself, the beds were so comfortable, the bathrooms were spotless and it had everything you need. Pam and Richard were just lovely, and whilst they’re just next door, they didn’t impose at all, we had some brilliant recommendations for walks and food. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you both! x

A really cosy, home from home cottage with a beautiful enclosed garden overlooking the surrounding countryside. Very well equipped and very tastefully decorated. The bathroom is a real treat. Thank you Debbie.

Could not fault The Hemmel at all. Absolutely beautiful. The accommodation, surroundings and view was exceptional. Ezra our labradoodle loved the enclosed garden. From the greeting off Kate, the beautiful homemade cake and flowers left for us, watching the red squirrel and the beautiful Northumbrian countryside and beaches, there was nothing we did not like about our stay. If we decide to come back to this neck of the woods, this would be our first pick. Five stars and beyond.

The Cottage was very comfortable, modern and spacious with beautiful views and countryside around. We felt very much at home. Stuart was an exceptional host, very friendly and helpful. Always on hand if there was a problem. Would highly recommend.

We had a perfect stay at Findara, it was peaceful, spacious and beautifully decorated. The kids loved it and didn’t want to come home. We loved the open plan kitchen, living area where we could all be together but doing different things. The kids loved playing in the garden. It had everything we needed for our family of 6. Including extra bits all ready for our baby. We cant wait to go back!

For our first family holiday to Northumberland we couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay. Candi’s cottage is in an ideal location for Bamburgh, Seahouses and Holy Island, to name but a few. In fact, before arriving, Candi messaged me with some recommendations, which went down a treat with the family! As for the accommodation itself? Immaculate! The kitchen and main bedroom are much bigger than they look on the photos. The kitchen and bathroom have been renovated (recently?) and look lovely. The kitchen has all the utensils you’ll need- even some Tupperware which we used for our picnics! Although we weren’t in the house for long each day, having the Smart TV was a nice touch to wind down after our excursions. All four of us (2 adults, 2 children) slept well and really enjoyed our time in Candi’s cottage. The girls especially appreciated the sheep themed cookies that were left for them. They also loved cartwheeling up and down the garden. A great stay- thanks Candi!

We loved Grace Cottage, a great base for a holiday in Northumberland. The house was just right for us, and we loved the Black Swan just around the corner for evening meals.

A great cottage, very tastefully appointed. Perfectly situated for exploring coasts, castles and the delights of Seahouses. Would highly recommend

Had a fantastic 3 night stay at Cloggy’s cottage and will definitely visit again. Cottage was immaculate and enjoyed the log burner to heat ourselves up after boat trips. Very tastefully decorated, welcome basket and fresh roses were a lovely touch. Host was very friendly and made lots of local recommendations for boat trips and restaurants. 10/10!!

First time booking with Airbnb - great experience. Thanks Janet for all the help & info on the run up to our trip. On our arrival we met Joyce, the lady who keeps the house clean and pristine and what a job she does - house was immaculate! Puddleduck Cottage is just off the main thoroughfare but is so quiet you wouldn’t think you were in the centre of the town. All attractions & amenities are within easy walking distance. House itself is beautiful, cosy and well equipped with everything you will need for your stay. Sitting room has an amazing log burner which we did use. Patio area at the back is very private, an ideal place to sit and chill. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Bedrooms are lovely, with extremely comfortable beds. . Thanks Janet for the Welcome Pack – wine, juice and chocolate chip cookies – lovely gesture and much appreciated. I highly recommend Puddleduck Cottage, it’s a beautiful house in an idyllic place. I will definitely be returning.

We stayed at this cottage for the weekend of our good friends wedding at Paxton house. For this it was brilliant as only 2 miles drive away. Beautiful wholesome cottage with absolutely everything you would need. Very clean and homely. Arrived to bread and fresh milk which was lovely. I was just gutted we didn’t get to stay for longer and make the most of it. ☺️
