We rented Amanda's place for 2 nights in the winter and it surpassed our expectations! Amanda was a great communicator. The older cottage has been extensively renovated, it was clean, comfortable and cozy. We loved the wood stove and the heating system worked well. The kitchen is first-rate, and very well-equipped, it even had decent knives! We cook a lot and we very much enjoyed making meals there. We loved watching the ever-changing weather on the river from the picture window in the living room, and even saw a beautiful sunrise. The star of our stay was the sauna—we have a wood-burning sauna at home and at our cottage—and we were very impressed with its size, the modern design, the huge picture window and the style of stove. It got up to temperature even in -17 degree weather. We hiked and snowshoed in the Alexander Hope Smith Nature Reserve which was a walk from the cottage. The town of Washago was a 11 minute drive, with a great grocery store. Would definitely stay there again!

We love all the facilities Duke has provided to our family. The house is clean and tidy with advanced facilities. The backyard is huge and equipped with all you need in the vacation home. Our family enjoyed the whole time, especially the great lake view and quiet private environment. The kids like canoeing in the lake. We highly recommend this vacation home and definitely want to come back to enjoy it in the future. Thank you Duke.

It is a beautiful townhouse, tastefully furnished. The place is like brand new. Clean bathrooms. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you will need, except there is no microwave. Located in upscale Friday Harbour resort, a safe and quiet neighbourhood. Restaurants at the resort are all fabulous. Staff at the resort are well mannered and helpful. Owners were very responsive, assisted with the reservation of activities. House Instructions are very clear.

I wish I could give this getaway cottage 10 stars! My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Jennifer’s and Blaine’s place. The views were spectacular and everything you would need for a little getaway from the city. Jennifer was so responsive and made sure our stay was more than enjoyable. We loved taking the kayaks out on the lake, and bbqing right by the water. Not to mention the hammocks! We will definitely be back with our family! Thank you for such a wonderful and relaxing stay!

The lodge was an amazing holiday for both us humans and our dog friends. We were surprised to be welcomed into a home with such festive decorations! Incredibly spacious, lots of seating to accommodate large groups and a sizable kitchen to match the feeding needs of many people. Many fully accessible bathrooms so there was never a wait to shower or use the toilet. When we needed some small supplies the property staff quickly delivered our requests. We were hoping to go winter hiking but the majority of the trails in that area are either closed for the season or are unmaintained. We did end up finding one 20 minutes away. The lodge looks fully equipped with many summer activities so it would be great if we can come check out this space in the warmer seasons. Definitely will book again!

Kathy and John were the best hosts! Planning for our girls weekend we had lots of questions and Kathy had these answered in full within minutes of asking. Something we don't expect but sure do appreciate. The cottage was stunning. SO CLEAN and stocked so well. The kitchen was clean and organized, which made it made it very to navigate. The cottage had a ton of activities to keep people busy and we look forward to coming back in the summer months when we can use all of the amenities outdoors! During our stay we encountered a massive ice storm. We were unable to leave the property as we were physically stuck due to many fallen trees on the road. Kathy made us feel comfortable to stay as long as we needed, but this was just the start of it. Kathy and John arrived BY FOOT to the cottage to grab equipment to literally clear the road for us to leave. They worked for HOURS cutting down the fallen trees and branches. Talk about going above and beyond! They were literal angels.
