Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Balestrate

We were in Mondello in July 2024 and had a fantastic vacation. The beaches and the turquoise blue sea were stunningly beautiful. The apartment of our host Gabriella was just as beautiful as in the pictures, very clean and well appointed. We didn't lack anything. The terrace provides shade during the day and invites you to a glass of wine in the evening – simply beautiful. Gabriella is a warm and loving host who can always be reached by phone. A special experience was when we closed the front door in the middle of the night and the key was inside. We called Gabriella, and her husband came right away to help us. We are very grateful for that. Gabriella was always available for questions and useful tips. We felt very comfortable with her – it doesn't get any better than that. A great base for visiting the nature reserves, Trapani, Marsala, Erice, Segesta, and Palermo! Hosts were very responsive and attentive to our needs. They answered questions and addressed any concerns very quickly. Best surprise- the shower had amazing water pressure and hot temperature… perfect after long days exploring, hiking, and boating!

We had a long day of travel before our arrival. They were super flexible with our check in time and it was lovely to have snacks, water and breakfast foods all awaiting us, especially the fresh picked oranges from their trees! Great location, rural and private feeling but just a short drive to see everything in the area, absolutely recommend!

Roberto's villa is breathtakingly beautiful! We stayed as a family of all ages from kids to grandparents and everything was wonderfully thought out. Roberto was there to welcome us and his generosity was unsurpassed from helping with our first shop to local restaurant recommendations, we cannot thank you enough for making it such a wonderful trip! The pool was spotless and the layout great for a big group! The photos do not do this place justice. Would have loved to use the pizza oven, next time for sure...we cannot wait to return xx

We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect for a family of 4. We enjoyed the view and the swimming pool. Giuseppe was very helpful and made local recommendations. Especially the bakery, ice cream shop and restaurant nearby we were happy with (S.Nicola), but also a lovely trip to Cefalú - where the restaurant A Paranza made delicious pizzas. Giuseppe also recommended good restaurants in Palermo. We would definitely recommend the place to others and would love to come back.

Vincenzo and his family were wonderful hosts - they were easy to communicate with, helpful when we had questions, and friendly. Vincenzo's parents greeted us at arrival, helped us get settled, and left us with a few delicious homemade foods to enjoy! Highly recommend if visiting this gorgeous Sicilian city.

Great place, certainly designed to enjoy in hotter weather so outside areas can be enjoyed and not put away with the wind as was the case with us! Unfortunately came on a stormy weekend beyond everyones control. Recommend hiring a car if staying with Maia, only 15 min walk from train station but area isn’t particularly pedestrian friendly and trains arent too often/didnt run past 9pm. But none of this the hosts fault, an oversight by myself. Thanks for having us, seeing the ocean from the bedroom was definitely a highlight!

Loved spending Spring Break here! The host was extremely responsive, and the location fit our needs perfectly. It was very nice to be so close to the grocery store, and bus-stop as well! The home itself was spacious, clean, and beautiful. We absolutely loved using the porch with full sun. Overall we had a great time in Sicily!

The apartment, which is spread over 3 floors, offers a rather unique aspect to this accommodation that we found very friendly. Close to everything and with excellent value for money. Lucia was welcoming and proactive for our possible questions.

Even though I didn’t stay at Davide and Donatella’s place myself, my colleague Ismail did — and he said they were two of the kindest, most thoughtful hosts he’s ever met. Super helpful and easy to communicate with. They really go above and beyond to make guests feel at home. The apartment is in the heart of Palermo’s historic Kalsa district, close to everything. It’s clean, quiet, comfy, with fast WiFi. Thank you, Davide and Donatella!

Sabrina was very responsive to messages. The house was beautiful and very centrally located. It was therefore easy to walk to restaurants.

Vincenzo's place has a good location just out of the centre of Palermo. It is clean, well furnished and has everything you will need for an extended stay. I was there for a month and found that I had everything that I needed. The kitchen is well equipped and the internet is fast and reliable. Although the apartment is small, the space is very well utilized. A great option for a comfortable stay in Palermo.

Beautiful apartment in the center of the old town with 2 balconies. An island of calm. Only bird voices are audible, although we are in the middle of a noisy lively city. Lucia was very helpful and everything worked out great.

Quiet place, located in a good spot, close to everything you need. Marina has been very friendly and responsive.

We had a great stay in San Vito for a week. Eleonora provided helpful instructions before we arrived and was responsive when we had questions during our stay. The apartment is as described and very comfortable for two people. We especially liked the kitchen and proper double bed (not always common in Europe). The area is very peaceful and convenient to get to the restaurants in the town.

Leti was responsive and efficient from the moment we booked our stay. She organised a taxi from the airport and he was waiting for us. We had a couple of questions and she replied promptly. The view was wonderful and encompassed the whole of the bay and there was always something to see/going on. It could get a little noisy at night as the locals dined out exceptionally late -the restaurant was still receiving guests at 11pm! Thank you Leti

Giuseppe's apartment was great. Above all, the location: right in the heart of Ballarò, just a few blocks from a bustling old-school Sicilian market. Giuseppe was also extremely attentive. The apartment was newly renovated, clean, and stocked with water, cake, and coffee. We had a brief issue with the wifi that he personally came and sorted out immediately. Would absolutely recommend if you're looking for an authentic Palermo experience.

The apartment is in a pedestrian area two minutes from the central Via Macqueda and 5 minutes from Vucciria. Easily reachable in 15 minutes, for those coming from the train station, using the bus (so from those coming from the airport I recommend getting to Pa with the train that travels every hour) Just close the windows and you are isolated from Palermo's liveliness. The stay was impeccable, the host Simona was always available and attentive to every request. The apartment was very clean, with comfortable beds and all the comforts. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be back because I left a piece of heart in Palermo.

We, a family with four children aged 6 to 17, had a wonderful week in Palermo in October. The area was pleasant, with relatively few other tourists, as well as plenty of nice restaurants, bars, specialty shops, and supermarkets. Based on various articles, we had low expectations for public transport, but bus lines like 101 and 806 were frequent and reliable.

Very nice hosts and kind. The apartment is located literally at 3 minutes walk from the beach with an amazing spot for the sunset. Also very easy to park the car and it has a supermarket a few seconds from the apartment. Couldn’t recommend it more

Francesca is a very good host! Always helpful and very polite. She was very quick to respond to the aftermath and tried to resolve the issues as quickly as possible. The apartment is clean, bright and much nicer than in the pictures. The kitchen had perfect amenities. We enjoyed our stay at Francesca's place.

Beautiful and functional apartment. Well-equipped, 2 bathrooms, which is very good for a family. Fabrizio was very nice and responsive. Recommended accommodation for visiting Palermo.

Robertos condo is very nice and the view from balcony to beach and ocean is like painting. Aparment was clean and lots of glasses and other kitchen stuff. No problem to fit 4 adults and 4 kids. Strong recommendation if you are looking for silent place on beach to spend your holiday.
