Great place

If what you are looking for is privacy, a super central area, a quiet place, with private docks, unlimited use kayaks and with parking. This is your ideal place, we had an incredible time, with a wonderful view of the lagoon, the center 2 blocks away, restaurants outside the accommodation and shops a few steps away, flexibility of arrival, they let us use the facilities while they gave us the loft, and practically the dock was just ours, we were always alone, Peter always had everything necessary to have a good day, Peter was always open to solve our doubts, the WIFI connection was weak but he lent us a router and it was resolved quickly. The only observation was that he needed some maintenance and cleaning details (nothing that affects the stay), the bathroom door did not close well and the sink key was a little dirty, in addition to the fact that the bed gushed with any movement, no doubt we would stay again!

We cannot say enough about Margo's place. The pictures do not do it justice; the casita is beautiful, clean and well equipped. The kitchen is small but has everything that you need and then some. We enjoyed the veranda for eating, reading and watching birds and the pool is great to float or swim laps if you choose. Sunset from the pier is amazing! We had a great sunset every night. Swimming in the ocean is best from the end of the pier, the bottom is soft near shore and the water was very comfortable. It was our first time to Sarteneja and we will definitely come back again, it is a sleepy little fishing village with friendly locals. If you are looking for a place to relax that is unspoiled by tourism this is it. The only thing we would change is that we would have stayed longer! Margo is an incredible host, we felt right at home. One piece of advice--follow Margo's directions even if it seems that you are going out of your way and Google maps tells you to take a different route.

We stayed at Casa Lucia for 3 nights and we had a great time while we were there. Claudia and Aldo were very responsive, friendly and had fantastic recomendaciones. Chef Aldo cooked dinner for us on our second night and it was an unforgettable meal! Our sons (16 & 18 y/o) had plenty of time on the lagoon and got to use the kayak and paddle boards! We didn’t take advantage of the pool because we spent the majority of the time on the lagoon and exploring Bacalar. The property is clean and just so beautiful. It is the most perfect location! Casa Bacalar is a quick 15 mins away from the center. We had brunch in the center and dinner at different spots. The hotel next door is less than a 3 min walk and had great options for food. We would definitely stay at Casa Lucia again! Thank you Claudia and Aldo for hosting us! 🤍

Bacalar is gorgeous! Staying at Jacqui's was a magical experience. Jacqui's home is literally steps from Cenote Negro. You can relax on hammocks and lounge chairs. The view is amazing! Jacqui provides: life vests, kayaks, paddles, paddle board, snorkels. A priceless bonus! Jacqui ensures that the environment within her home is safe and peaceful. The other guests, our "neighbors" were kind, friendly and respectful. Our living space was comfortable; the annex is super cute. Jacqui provides air conditioning and hot/cold water with great water pressure! There is also a kitchen with several utensils, a mini fridge and drinking water! Thank you Jacqui for allowing my family to stay in your home. We would love to stay again. Incredible!

It was such a clean space & just as shown on the pictures! perfect for my husband and I. It was amazing to be able to walk outside & go directly to the lagoon.

Excellent place and service from the host, one of the few places that have utensils and basic things like water and other extras like coffee, there are fewer places that offer these amenities and they are greatly appreciated.

My family and I loved this beautiful house. We have 3 children aged 2 and 5 and we thought it was going to be complicated but it was the opposite. The house has a great location, as they say it is at the foot of a cenote and it was impressive to return to the house one day when we took an excursion and see our little house in Bacalar in the distance and be able to take a photo from the Lagoon to save this beautiful memory that was an important part of our vacation. Every morning it was beautiful to open the curtains and see the Lagoon there with us, with those wonderful colors. We couldn't have picked a better place. Super complete and first-class service. It is difficult to put in words how amazing our experience at Casa Sol & Luna was, you have to experience it yourself. Firstly, Bacalar is so breathtaking that no pictures you see online make it justice. The location in Bacalar is one of the best, right at Cenote Esmeralda. Next, the house is very well kept, convenient and fully equipped. You have everything you need for a comfortable and fun stay - infinity pool, room balconies, outdoor grill area, large dock, kayaks, paddle boards. Finally, the cherry on top was Pablo and Celeste! You are greeted and taken complete care of by 2 wonderful people throughout your stay. They keep the house looking pristine everyday are genuinely interested in you having a good time. We separately paid them to cook breakfast and lunch and it was the best decision of the trip. Without Pablo and Celeste our trip would not have been the same. Our entire crew loved Pablo and Celeste. Thanks Brillante for welcoming us to your amazing house and hospitality!

Very good service from the host, the conditions of the house were excellent, the dock to the lagoon was a plus with a very good area to enjoy the water.

Beautiful and quiet, excellent location. We used the kayaks every day and enjoyed the hammocks in front of the Lagoon. The loft-style home setup was great for our family of 4 (2 kids and 2 adults). We’d love to go back again one day!

The house is extremely comfortable, a quiet and far away area, it is easy to go out and find a taxi , or Ana la Sra la sra takes care of the house, looking for some unit, we supported us to go to the pharmacy she on her motorbike we thank 🏍 her very much for the gesture. The view of the lagoon is impressive to see the 🌅 sunrise even the sunset is an unparalleled peace. we thank the vests saves lives because I don't swim and that gave me security is a deep area and with a lot of stone, but it is worth it . try to bring the essentials to cook if your plan is not to go out , because there is nothing nearby .

Beautiful place, everything is very nice and quiet, the house is very comfortable and cozy. Super recommended, excellent accommodation.

Efrain has a large, spacious, clean accommodation with all the amenities you can imagine. Your home connects with the particular beauty of Bacalar. For us, having the lagoon in front was key to our stay. Some days we stayed inside the house and had a great time. The internet, screen, board games and his speaker solved it. We found everything we needed to cook. I would like to emphasize that due to the location of the house, fauna from the ecosystem can be attracted. You have to be empathetic and not damage it. As simple as putting up mosquito nets and that's it, nothing enters the house. Great place to be with your family with great accommodation and a host who is attentive to your needs.

Great location right on the lake. We especially enjoyed spending time in the outdoor eating area (with full kitchenette), and swimming and watersports activities right off the private pier. Note that the property has bedrooms in two separate buildings. Two bedrooms are lakefront, and the remaining bedrooms are a bit further back in a separate building, which also includes a kitchen and outdoor seating. The property was clean and well kept, albeit a bit dated. Location is about 5 minute drive into town. Overall a great spot for a few days in Bacalar.

The place was exact as we imagined, the unpaved entrance road, but it's normal for a private place and by the lagoon. Verónica received us super friendly, we checked in very late at night and she was attentive and explained everything in detail. The place is very clean, the towels super clean, the beds too. As a note: They need an oversize or bedspread on top of the bed sheet, but other than that, everything is fine. It's a rustic place and I really liked that I didn't have a TV to appreciate the beauty of the area. I work remotely and the wifi worked perfect at all times. Victor (the host) is super helpful at all times and with a very quick response to any questions. Recommended if you go as a couple without children and you are looking for something very simple as you think you are out exploring the area.

The place is very nice, the access is by a complicated path but it is part of the experience of being away from the village and private and does not depend on them that path. The place is a 10 if you know how to understand, it is a homemade place not a luxury resort and the photos are always nicer than the place but in value it stands out. The stay was fine, you can use the free kayaks and explore the lagoon The only thing that would improve is that the bathroom does not have any ventilation and what even by regulation I would have to have. (If they put an extractor for the steam from the shower or the smells in the bathroom it would be much better the experience

Excellent place to disconnect from the outside, quiet and very nice.

This was our second stay at Xcabal. We really like this place. It is easy to find and very close to town, but far enough to be quiet and tranquil. The rooms are very pretty and perfectly clean, with super comfy beds and bedding. The shower gets nice and hot and has awesome water pressure. The dock area is super: great for swimming or just lounging around to enjoy the beautiful lake. The staff is really nice and helpful and very chill. All good stuff!

Awesome stay, me and my partner had the whole place to ourselves. We have stayed here before, so we knew what to expect if you are looking for time to spend in nature off the beaten path. This is your spot.

We had an absolutely fabulous time at Teresa’s home! Check in was flexible as we were delayed in Tulum. Teresa’s instructions were always super clear and so we didn’t have any issue finding the house at sunset, also there is a hotel next door with a restaurant in case you miss the supermarket! The house is about 10 minutes away from Bacalar town, it has a perfect view of the lagoon and everything you can need inside. The lagoon is super private as most boat trips are over on the other side of the town also. We absolutely loved being there and surrounded by nature, I would very much recommend the house!

Loved this place. It’s peaceful and quite. Really beautiful view of the lagoon and loved that they had kayaks available to guests. Nestor was responsive and nice. Highly recommend this place!
