Great place

Si lo que buscas es privacidad, una zona súper céntrica, lugar tranquilo, con muelle privado, kayaks de uso sin límite y con estacionamiento, este es tu lugar ideal, nos la pasamos increíble, con una vista a la laguna maravillosa, el centro a 2 cuadras, restaurantes fuera del alojamiento y tiendas a unos cuantos pasos, flexibilidad de llegada, nos dejaron utilizar las instalaciones mientras nos daban el loft, y prácticamente el muelle era solo nuestro, pues siempre estuvimos solos, tiene todo lo necesario para pasar unos buenos días, Peter siempre abierto a resolver nuestras dudas, la conexión del WIFI era débil pero nos prestó un router y se solucionó rápidamente, la única observación es que le hace falta algunos detalles de mantenimiento y limpieza (nada que afecte la estadía), la puerta del baño no cerraba bien y la llave del lavabo estaba un poco sucia, además de que la cama rechinaba con cualquier movimiento, sin duda nos hospedaríamos nuevamente!

We cannot say enough about Margo's place. The pictures do not do it justice; the casita is beautiful, clean and well equipped. The kitchen is small but has everything that you need and then some. We enjoyed the veranda for eating, reading and watching birds and the pool is great to float or swim laps if you choose. Sunset from the pier is amazing! We had a great sunset every night. Swimming in the ocean is best from the end of the pier, the bottom is soft near shore and the water was very comfortable. It was our first time to Sarteneja and we will definitely come back again, it is a sleepy little fishing village with friendly locals. If you are looking for a place to relax that is unspoiled by tourism this is it. The only thing we would change is that we would have stayed longer! Margo is an incredible host, we felt right at home. One piece of advice--follow Margo's directions even if it seems that you are going out of your way and Google maps tells you to take a different route.

We stayed at Casa Lucia for 3 nights and we had a great time while we were there. Claudia and Aldo were very responsive, friendly and had fantastic recomendaciones. Chef Aldo cooked dinner for us on our second night and it was an unforgettable meal! Our sons (16 & 18 y/o) had plenty of time on the lagoon and got to use the kayak and paddle boards! We didn’t take advantage of the pool because we spent the majority of the time on the lagoon and exploring Bacalar. The property is clean and just so beautiful. It is the most perfect location! Casa Bacalar is a quick 15 mins away from the center. We had brunch in the center and dinner at different spots. The hotel next door is less than a 3 min walk and had great options for food. We would definitely stay at Casa Lucia again! Thank you Claudia and Aldo for hosting us! 🤍

Bacalar is gorgeous! Staying at Jacqui's was a magical experience. Jacqui's home is literally steps from Cenote Negro. You can relax on hammocks and lounge chairs. The view is amazing! Jacqui provides: life vests, kayaks, paddles, paddle board, snorkels. A priceless bonus! Jacqui ensures that the environment within her home is safe and peaceful. The other guests, our "neighbors" were kind, friendly and respectful. Our living space was comfortable; the annex is super cute. Jacqui provides air conditioning and hot/cold water with great water pressure! There is also a kitchen with several utensils, a mini fridge and drinking water! Thank you Jacqui for allowing my family to stay in your home. We would love to stay again. Incredible!

It was such a clean space & just as shown on the pictures! perfect for my husband and I. It was amazing to be able to walk outside & go directly to the lagoon.

Excelente lugar y trato por parte del anfitrión, de los pocos lugares que tienen utensilios y cosas básicas como agua y otros aditamentos como café, ya son menos los lugares que ofrecen estas cortesías y se aprecian mucho.

Esta hermosa casa nos encantó a mi y a mi familia. Tenemos 3 niños en edades de 2 y 5 años y pensamos que iba a estar complicado pero fue todo lo contrario. La casa tiene una súper ubicación, como dicen está al pie de un cenote y fue impresionante volver a la casa un día que tomamos una excursión y ver nuestra casita de Bacalar a lo lejos y poderle tomar foto desde la Laguna para poder guardar este hermoso recuerdo que hizo parte importante de nuestras vacaciones. Cada mañana era hermoso abrir las cortinas y ver la Laguna ahí con nosotros, con esos maravillosos colores. No pudimos haber escogido mejor lugar. Súper completo y servicio de primera. Muchas gracias!! Nos vemos muy pronto!

It is difficult to put in words how amazing our experience at Casa Sol & Luna was, you have to experience it yourself. Firstly, Bacalar is so breathtaking that no pictures you see online make it justice. The location in Bacalar is one of the best, right at Cenote Esmeralda. Next, the house is very well kept, convenient and fully equipped. You have everything you need for a comfortable and fun stay - infinity pool, room balconies, outdoor grill area, large dock, kayaks, paddle boards. Finally, the cherry on top was Pablo and Celeste! You are greeted and taken complete care of by 2 wonderful people throughout your stay. They keep the house looking pristine everyday are genuinely interested in you having a good time. We separately paid them to cook breakfast and lunch and it was the best decision of the trip. Without Pablo and Celeste our trip would not have been the same. Our entire crew loved Pablo and Celeste. Thanks Brillante for welcoming us to your amazing house and hospitality!

Muy buena atención por parte del anfitrión, las condiciones de la casa fueron excelentes, fue un plus el muelle a la laguna con muy buena zona para disfrutar del agua.

Beautiful and quiet, excellent location. We used the kayaks every day and enjoyed the hammocks in front of the Lagoon. The loft-style home setup was great for our family of 4 (2 kids and 2 adults). We’d love to go back again one day!

La casa es sumamente cómoda una zona tranquila y alejada , es fácil salir y encontrar taxi , o Ana la sra qué cuida la casa te apoya buscando alguna unidad, a nosotros nos apoyó para ir a farmacia ella en su moto 🏍 le agradecemos mucho el gesto. La vista a la laguna es impresionante ver el 🌅 amanecer incluso el atardecer es una paz inigualable. agradecemos los chalecos salva vidas porque yo no se nadar y eso me dio seguridad es una zona profunda y con mucha piedra, pero vale la pena . procura llevar lo indispensable para cocinar si tu plan es no salir , porque no hay nada cerca .

Hermoso lugar, todo muy lindo y tranquilo, la casa muy cómoda y acogedora. Super recomendable, excelente alojamiento.

Efrain cuenta con un alojamiento grande, espacioso, limpio y con todas las amenidades que puedas imaginar. Su casa conecta con la particular belleza de Bacalar. Para nosotros tener la Laguna enfrente fue clave en nuestra estancia. Algunos días nos mantuvimos dentro de la casa y la pasamos excelente. El internet, pantalla, juegos de mesa y su bocina lo resolvieron. Para cocinar encontramos todo lo que necesitábamos. Me gustaría recalcar, que por la ubicación de la casa, se puede atraer fauna del ecosistema. Hay que ser empáticos y no dañarla. Tan simple como poner los mosquiteros y listo, nada ingresa a la casa. Grandioso lugar para estar con tu familia con un gran alojamiento y un anfitrión pendiente de lo que requieras.

Great location right on the lake. We especially enjoyed spending time in the outdoor eating area (with full kitchenette), and swimming and watersports activities right off the private pier. Note that the property has bedrooms in two separate buildings. Two bedrooms are lakefront, and the remaining bedrooms are a bit further back in a separate building, which also includes a kitchen and outdoor seating. The property was clean and well kept, albeit a bit dated. Location is about 5 minute drive into town. Overall a great spot for a few days in Bacalar.

El lugar fue exacto como lo imaginamos, la carretera de entrada sin pavimentar, pero es lo normal para un lugar privado y junto a la laguna. Verónica nos recibió súper amable, hicimos el check in muy tarde por la noche y ella estuvo atenta y nos explicó todo a detalle. El lugar muy limpio, las toallas súper limpias, las camas también. Como nota: les hace falta una sobrecama o colcha encima de la sábana, pero aparte de eso, todo bien. Es un lugar rústico y me gustó mucho que no tuviera TV para así apreciar la belleza de la zona. Yo trabajo de manera remota y el wifi funcionó perfecto en todo momento. Víctor (el host) súper atento en todo momento y con respuesta muy rápida a cualquier pregunta. Recomendable si vas en pareja sin niños y buscas algo muy sencillo pues piensas estar fuera explorando la zona.

El lugar es muy bonito, el acceso es por un camino complicado pero es parte de la experiencia de estar lejos del pueblo y privado y no depende de ellos ese camino. El lugar es un 10 si lo sabes entender, es un lugar casero no un resort de lujo y las fotos siempre son más bonitas que el lugar pero en precio calidad destaca. La estancia estuvo bien, puedes usar los kayak gratis y explorar la laguna Lo único que mejoraría es que el baño no tiene nada de ventilación y lo que hasta por normativa tendría que tener. (Si pusieran un extractor para el vapor de la regadera o los olores del baño sería mucho mejor la experiencia

This was our second stay at Xcabal. We really like this place. It is easy to find and very close to town, but far enough to be quiet and tranquil. The rooms are very pretty and perfectly clean, with super comfy beds and bedding. The shower gets nice and hot and has awesome water pressure. The dock area is super: great for swimming or just lounging around to enjoy the beautiful lake. The staff is really nice and helpful and very chill. All good stuff!

We had an absolutely fabulous time at Teresa’s home! Check in was flexible as we were delayed in Tulum. Teresa’s instructions were always super clear and so we didn’t have any issue finding the house at sunset, also there is a hotel next door with a restaurant in case you miss the supermarket! The house is about 10 minutes away from Bacalar town, it has a perfect view of the lagoon and everything you can need inside. The lagoon is super private as most boat trips are over on the other side of the town also. We absolutely loved being there and surrounded by nature, I would very much recommend the house!

Loved this place. It’s peaceful and quite. Really beautiful view of the lagoon and loved that they had kayaks available to guests. Nestor was responsive and nice. Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic stay! Rita was amazing through and through. Very happy with her, our stay, and everything we experienced with her and her place. Hope to stay at her place next visit.
