Great value option if you need to get into Oxford on the train. Pub on your doorstep and good local walks. Going outside to access the bathroom takes some getting used to and the need to plan ahead before going up to bed. Lovely garden with stunning views from the bedroom. Headroom in the bathroom is limited.

Tracey's place was perfect for ourselves, our daughter and two dogs. A surprisingly private and peaceful location, yet within easy reach of facilities, pubs, restaurants and (important for us) Newbury Show-ground. Comfortable, well appointed and presented accommodation, with a generous welcome pack. Great for our dogs too, with a secure outdoor area. Would definitely be happy to come again. Thanks.

Karen is a super friendly and responsive host, we felt very much welcomed and that our comfort and enjoyment of our stay was her priority. The cottage is stunning set in extensive grounds with its own private garden. We had everything we needed for an amazing, relaxing weekend with walks on our doorstep and the Ridgeway close by. One of the best places we have every stayed in, we hope to come back soon!

Beautiful gardens quaint cottage. Annex rustic and serviceable. Different pictures on line. Courtyard looked very different as did the funiture in the front room. The bathroom needs updating bit too rustic for me but thats my opinion. Very comfortable and outside is outstanding.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Annie’s cottage in the Cotswolds! The place was cosy, spotless, and full of thoughtful touches—board games, books, and a fully stocked kitchen with everything you could need for a breakfast. Annie was a fantastic host—super helpful, responsive, and kind. She gave great recommendations for local pubs and walking trails. The backyard lawn was beautifully maintained, with tables and chairs dotted around the compound, perfect for meals or a picnic. It was a peaceful, relaxing retreat and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming stay in the Cotswolds!

This was our second visit and it was amazing. Such a beautiful location and walks right from the door. Very responsive host and lovely welcome ales!

Had another great stay at the eco lodge. Ideally placed outside Wallingford in lovely countryside and convenient for the Ridgeway and associated places. The eco lodge is private with its own parking and despite the roasting weather the week we were there, it kept a comfortable temperature inside. lovely big bed, excellent space to relax and with it's own kitchen and bathroom and all the amenities you could want. Kunzi the owners friendly cat is on hand to meet and greet and the field adjacent the front of the lodge is alive with wildlife. It's a great place to relax or use as a base for exploration. Recommend Wallingford and Henley on Thames for exploration and the Ridgeway for great walking and scenic views.

A beautiful place to stay , with so many extras , felt totally private and loved the use of the outdoor seating area and hot tub . Both me & my wife said it had been one of our favourites, note to others book somewhere to eat if travelling at the weekend. The only ‘extras’ we d of liked would have been robes & slippers but that said that’s being picky . A beautiful find .

We have just returned home after a week at the barn. We have been extremely impressed with everything and the little extras have made it stand out above several airbnb places we have stayed in over the years. It was very clean and spacious with everything we needed to make a great holiday. Janice and David are very friendly and we’re happy to chat and give us the space to enjoy our holiday at the same time. The surroundings were also perfect for a real relaxing break. All in all I would say that our time there has been perfect and we hope to come again in the future. Thanks again Sarah x

We stayed for two weeks at The Studio. It's in an absolutely stunning location, (any noise from nearby road is masked by that of the river running past the old mill), with wonderful views. Lucy, Simon and the rest of their family were extremely welcoming and friendly. The 'rest of the family' included five really friendly dogs, two of which were waiting outside to greet us when we arrived, equally friendly & tame bantams which would come running up to us every time they saw us, a pair of ducks, and horses. There was also all sorts of wildlife including a pair of swans and their cygnets, a peacock, heron, ducks, moorhens and a little egret. If you want to walk to a pub you can get to The White Lion, avoiding most of the roads lacking pavements. Turn left out of Bois Mill, walk about 500yds to a footpath on the right that takes you up the hill through woods towards top of Bell Lane. Lucy & Simon are also happy to detail other walks. We loved staying at the Hoot this weekend for my birthday, my partner asked me to marry him by the little bridge on the pond. The layout of the place is beautiful, lots of space for just two people. Shame about the cold and rain, but happy we got to stay in the cosy hut than a secluded hotel. The finishing touches were nice. Both Lindsey and the lady who cleans were very friendly.

Beautiful shepherds hut in beautiful surroundings with everything you could need. The wood fired hot tub was amazing! Tom and Laura had great communication and we would definitely come back :)

First of all, the property is gorgeous - it's in the countryside and we loved waking up and walking out back to that gorgeous view. There are walking paths nearby, a fantastic park right across the street, and having the horses literally next door was a great attraction. The apartment is small and cozy, but the kitchen has everything you need and the beds were quite comfy. Also, the hosts were very responsive with anything we needed and when we had an issue with the internet, not only were they quick to fix it, they refunded us half of the cost for the time we were without connectivity. I would definitely recommend this place and will for sure stay again next time we come to visit family in the area.

Overall it was an amazing stay. the cottage is small, but cozy and perfect for 2 people. it has some quirks, but that is what you would expect with a small and old cottage. There are no electrical outlets in the bathroom and the shower is small so as a 6'1 man, it was difficult but doable to use the shower. The grounds were peaceful and relaxing. Overall, the cottage was as expected and it was a great home base for access to Oxford and the Cotswolds!

Patricia and Alastair were the most wonderful hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable weekend. So grateful for how welcoming, helpful and responsive they both were. Super personable and the house was absolutely gorgeous!!

Claire was absolutely amazing, she really went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. From the moment we arrived, the apartment was incredibly welcoming, there was a book offering helpful tips about the local area. Claire made sure we had everything we needed. For the price, we received incredible value. The accommodation itself was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and had a wonderful, calming atmosphere. The amenities provided were top-notch, and there were thoughtful touches throughout the property that made it feel like a home away from home. Claire's hospitality truly made our trip special, and we would wholeheartedly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We hope to return ourselves in the future!

We stayed at the cottage while visiting our new grandson in nearby Woodford Halse. Communications from Victoria were excellent, as were directions. Upon our arrival Victoria came out to greet us and (vitally important) to ask us what we wanted for breakfast! The cottage turned out to be an absolute delight, nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. Our last Airbnb experience in May 2024 was dreadful and it was a relief to have our faith restored. Although the cottage was small, it was perfect for our needs. The bedroom upstairs was cosy and the bed was very comfortable. The downstairs bathroom was nicely appointed and there was plenty of hot water for showers. Although the cottage doesn't have a kitchen as such, Victoria provided a microwave and toaster, plus bread, cereals, tea, milk, coffee etc. Nothing had been overlooked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend both the cottage and our host Victoria unreservedly! Thank you very much Victoria! Andrew & Jayne.

We had a lovely stay at Ian's. The village was lovely and peaceful, and the Airbnb was clean, cosy and exactly as described. Ian was easy to contact and there was good communication. Extra touches, such as a hairdryer and cold water in the fridge made it special and were so handy! Ian was helpful and gave us taxi recommendations, which was much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again!!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Kitchen and living are very comfortable and the beds offered a refreshing sleep. It may take a while for the shower to be warm, but the bathroom was clean and complete. Great place to stay. Great atmosphere and a beautiful area to walk. Vanessa was very hospitable and helpful when needed.
