Located outside a small, quiet hamlet (altitude 800 metres) at the end of a winding road, the south-facing barn enjoys panoramic views of the mountains, and is surrounded by fields and woods - with no vis-à-vis! Entirely renovated using ecological materials, the gîte retains all the charm and authenticity of a Pyrenean dwelling, but with all the comfort of a purpose-built gite. The barn caters to everybody – couples, solos, families with children, and walkers with their four-legged friends.

Rich in fauna and flora, you will enjoy beautiful hikes alone, with family or friends (Port du Marterat, Cirque de Cagateille, Cascades du Chemin d'Espagne...) as well as streams and lakes for fishing lovers. Welcome to our spacious and cozy barn, in the heart of the Pyrenees Ariégeoises natural park. Our little corner of paradise is ideal for relaxing and will enchant nature lovers. Immediate hiking departures in the beautiful surrounding forests and peaks. Nearby: waterfalls, lakes, markets & picturesque villages, gastronomy, medieval cities, prehistoric caves... we will be happy to give you the best advice for your stay. Shops in Massat 10 min away.

Located at the top of the mountain pass in Ariége, at the start of many hikes and close to many family activities, this ideally located character cottage will allow you to stay in an idyllic and quiet setting. The Auberge de la Sapinière, located nearby, can accommodate you by reservation. Ideal accommodation for 4 people! You can of course be 6 max thanks to the sofa bed in the living room but of course the comfort will be less.

Gîte Col d'Ayens

Un très beau gîte de charme, rénover avec beaucoup de cœur et de goût. Le gite est a 12 minutes de St Girons et ses magasins situé sur le bord d'un hameau rural le Cap d erp , avec vues fabuleux sur les forêts vierges, la vallée, les collines et montagnes. Avec le Col d'Ayens a 2km a pieds ou 3km en voiture c'est un point de départ de rêve des randonneurs, traileurs et cyclistes VTT.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to contact me before making or confirming a reservation. Regarding access, the house is at the end of a 7 km track. The first 5 km are suitable for vehicles, and the last 2 km are not suitable for vehicles. So you'll have to walk the last 2 km, about 40 minutes. Guests can park their car safely in a clearing.
