Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Athens

The house was beautiful! Definitely need 4x4 to get back there though! Even with AWD we slid down the last hill before the house because of the snow/ice mixture. We did finally make it and had a wonderful weekend with friends! Beautiful view of the sunrise over the lake and to look out all day at the snow! Would love to make time to come back in the summer months!

Perfect location not far from Ohio University’s campus. It was nice to be less than 10 minutes from town but on a quiet road away from the action. Angela was extremely accommodating, quick to respond and the place was exactly as described. Would definitely book here again for future trips to Athens!

Brookside cottage was a magical experience in terms of its location. The creek the water running the woods. It’s just spectacular. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was clean. You had everything that you needed. Location was quite peaceful. It was everything that we wanted. I spent a mom’s weekend there with my daughter from Ohio University, and we also enjoyed the hot tub despite the rain.

A lovely place near Hocking Hill State Park. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub after long hikes and looking at the goats, horses and donkey in the neighboring pasture. The host was very responsive and came immediately to fix the internet after a storm and brought a blender when we needed one. We had a great visit and hope to return soon!

Stayed here two years in a row for OU mom’s weekend! Perfect space for kids to hang in basement, while moms can sleep in bedrooms. Outdoor space looks so inviting, but it’s been too cold for us to enjoy it. If you’re looking for a place to host your daughter & her friends- this is it!! It’s not on campus, but that’s also what our girls wanted- to get away! Just a short drive to campus (15 min) though if needed!

Very nice little house perfectly as described. Nice big bathroom and kitchen. Adorable outdoor space, unfortunately it was raining all weekend so I didn't get to use it but it's very inviting and well stocked. The house is full of amenities. The bedside fan is a HUGE PLUS! Would absolutely stay here again.

Our trip started off with a small hiccup but Holly was awesome and made it right. The house was wonderful it is one of the best rentals we have had. The kitchen was is one of the best equipped we have ever stayed at. The knives were all sharp, there are ample amount of pots and pans for anything you want to cook. The loft bedroom had one of the most comfortable mattresses we have ever had at a rental. The furniture is very nice,great for relaxing and listening to some really great records. We definitely made use of the whirlpool tub and the shower. The bathroom was thoughtfully put together. I think the only downside to our stay was the super bright full moon. Lol. It made stargazing difficult. Sitting outside at night with the tree frogs singing was so peaceful and relaxing! We can't wait to be able to come back again and hopefully be able to try out the hot tub and do some stargazing! Holly and Michael know how to make you feel like you are in a home away from home.

Amazing place very beautiful and comfortable. The fire pit/cove was so beautiful. Drive up was a little rough in the gravel road but offered many great views very worth it.

This cabin was very spacious. Perfect for groups, we had our family of 5 there and only used two of the 5 bedrooms. The area is beautiful and there was plenty to do outside including the hot tub, swings, grill, and walking trail. I would definitely recommend this chalet.

My girlfriend and I spent our anniversary weekend here where we also got engaged! By far the most relaxing and peaceful weekend we’ve ever spent together. Thank you Amanda & family for hosting such a nice stay.

Our stay was excellent!!! We loved the location, we loved there was a lot of activity’s to do the house was beautiful! Inside and out! In all Id definitely come back and stay again!

Lovely cabin and location for a long weekend. Clean with enough towels, hand soap, garbage bags, and TP for our weekend (even left the TP we brought behind :) ). Little things like a dog dish so I didn't have to use ours and the solar light in front so you can see the cabin from the road at night are special touches. Location was nice as it was close to Logan for a quick dinner out or to grab food to make in the cabin, but far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful. Appreciated having some level of WiFi, but be warned it isn't enough to work from or use multiple devices - which was fine by me this weekend! We enjoyed playing games and cards and were only slightly sad to not be able to watch March Madness as easily as at home. My only wish for this cabin is to have a washer/dryer after a day of muddy hiking and playing in streams. Did I mention how clean it was when we arrived? Wonderful place to stay!

Excellent individuals! They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. The only complaint is just that the kitchen was not as stocked for a large group of people and the oven didn’t work but other than that, great stay!

The A frame #8 cabin was perfect! Cozy and comfortable, exactly what I was hoping for a romantic weekend. The area was quiet and private and being pet friendly made it convenient, we were able to bring the dog. Enjoying the hot tub while watching the snowfall, nothing like it. Will recommend and book again.

Rachel was amazing about responding quickly whenever we reached out and her team did a great job correcting the few issues we had. Our family had a WONDERFUL time. Thanks so much!!! Pros: - jacuzzi - arcade area - quiet atmosphere and proximity to Hocking Hills Cons: - one of the two entrances to the community had more than a few potholes - the lawn was being redone, so it was challenging keeping the mud at bay due to rain - three of the bedrooms don't have doors, as noted in the listing

Stayed a couple of days while visiting my 20-something son. We were within a couple of blocks of places he wanted to take us. It was cozy, cute and clean. Appreciated not having to kennel my small dog and there were cleaning supplies there in case there was an accident. Plenty of places to hang wet towels, which is often overlooked by hosts. Thrilled to find a great go-to place next time I'm in town!

My husband, 3 children and I had an absolutely wonderful stay! Karen is a wonderful, gracious host and truly goes above and beyond. She stopped by and made sure we knew where everything was and answered any questions we had! She made sure the kids had plenty of toys/books and even left them some snacks, making sure what we allowed our children to have first. It was a no screen weekend for us, and no cell signal made it all the better!! We hiked around her stunning property, watched the sunset over the icy pond, built a few fires and cooked dinner over them each night. We cannot wait to come back this summer! We made a weekend filled with core memories for our kiddos and wonderful memories for us. Thank you so much Karen, can’t wait to come back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The cabin was amazing, clean and well stocked. Hosts were great and even left a little welcome basket of snacks and treats. Very thoughtful!

Shana was easy to contact and responsive. Her tiny home was as nice as listed. She had very cute holiday decorations on the porch and inside. We had everything we needed for our weekend. I had left several bracelets on the kitchen table and she quickly responded and returned them in the mail! We would definitely return to enjoy this space.

Had an amazing weekend getaway with my best friend and dog. Couldn’t have asked for e better place to stay with so much to keep you busy! The hot tub was amazing and we loved all the different games that are offered! Would definitely stay again!

Beth accommodated us on very short notice, and my family and I enjoyed two nights in the cabin which was so cute! Our toddler was thrilled to be able to see some horses and cows, which was an exciting bonus.

Great place for a group. We cooked thanksgiving dinner in the well stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the hot tub. The Wi-Fi was just so so and didn’t seem strong enough to watch any TV so if that’s important to you, this is something to consider.
