This place is a gem! Less than two blocks from town. Easy stroll to beach approach, boardwalk, restaurants and arcade for kids.

We traveled from Montana with another family to adventure the area during our kids spring break. The house accommodated everyone (8 people) very well! We were able cook meals here often and take in the ocean views. Very quick walk (across a busy street) to the beach. The beds are super comfy and having 3 full bathrooms was a plus. This house was exactly what we needed!

This is our second time coming to this ocean cottage so we knew what to expect. We felt right at home in the cozy little cottage and had the amenities we needed. Kathleen was very responsive and easy to deal with. We look forward to coming another time!

We stayed in the three bedrooms upstairs unit of a duplex. The view from the deck was magnificent. The beds were comfortable and we had a blast playing ping pong. The kitchen is huge. It could use a couple of bowls but otherwise well appointed. The living room furniture is ok but I wish was a bit more plentiful. Walking straight from the stairs off the deck the beach is less than 100 steps away and amazing. The bathrooms were well stocked with an eye to hospitality. I would recommend to friends and would consider staying here again.

We had a fantastic stay at Phil’s place with our two young children. The home was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had all amenities we needed. The play room in the basement was an awesome bonus. We were a short drive to anything we wanted to do in Long Beach. We would love to stay here again!

…. The Swan This is such a wonderful vacation home. It accommodated the 5 of us and even though we left our pups at home the host has many dog friendly comforts for furry friends. The home is very clean, roomy, has every amenity, kitchen and otherwise, needed. Large yard with beautiful trail to the beach. Beach is gorgeous and private. We walked to it several times and we were the only ones there. I was even lucky enough to find a perfect sand dollar. The host is very friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this home if you want a top notch air bb experience. Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful stay at Ashley's Airbnb! The place was perfect for our family getaway. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beach was just a short walk away, which made it so easy to enjoy the ocean whenever we wanted. Our kids had a blast, and we were able to relax and unwind. Ashley was a fantastic host, very welcoming and responsive. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful beach vacation with family!

This was our second trip to The Rocky Whale in the last six months. We love it here. For us, the location is incredible. We spend as much time on the beach possible and being able to cross the street to the dune path and be at the ocean in less than 5 minutes is incredible. Low-tide tide pools? Check. Entire groups of seals? Check. Eagles? Check. Milky Way on a clear night? Also check! We are grateful for the ability to bring our dogs and the big open space downstairs to be able to house their crates. The bed/bath/kitchen has always been clean and comfortable and when the storms come through being able to hang out in the big living space upstairs and keep ourselves entertained (tv… storm… games.. etc) has come in handy. The kitchen is well appointed. We eat in when we stay here and there is nothing we haven’t been able to handle (sometimes a little improvisation is needed!) We were never able to find the tv remote on our second trip… but there is an app for that.

My family and I enjoyed the house, the beds were super comfortable, the hot tub area was cute, it had a little bit of everything for everyone

Nice quaint cottage on the beach. It has great beach access, but a little steep for folks that have mobility challenges. The house was clean, comfortable and well appointed with everything you should need to cook a meal. We loved the mud room area for the wet pup to dry off a bit before coming inside and the family area upstairs with beautiful views (especially at sunset). If I had any feedback for future updates would be the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was pretty weak, but yet the pressure in the sink is so strong your clothes get wet. Also the clawfoot tub is a nice touch for bath takers, but getting in and out of the tub for showers is a risky undertaking. There is really nothing to really grab onto other than the shower curtain and I was very concerned for my 69 y/o mother. All in all…this was a great stay and I would definitely return!

5 stars We had a great stay! The place was quiet, comfortable, and very accessible—easy to walk around or hop in the car to explore nearby towns. Rockaway Beach itself is pretty low-key, but the location made it super easy to get up to Manzanita, Cannon Beach, and Seaside, or head south to Tillamook. Perfect spot for a peaceful getaway and a great home base for exploring the coast. Would definitely stay again!

This place is well deserving of 5 stars. Probably one of the best I've stayed at, my family and I traveled to the coast looking for a peaceful and relaxing weekend. We got exactly that, I would highly recommend this place and looking forward to going back.

Had a lovely stay over our anniversary! It was so nice to wake up to the view & walk a short 3 minutes and be ON the beach! We walked to town each day and that was lovely. When we arrived we had a cute doggie basket for our pup! It included treats, a towel, & a couple blankets! My only "complaint " was that we were not allowed to leave our dog unattended in the unit, crate or not. This is something that was very difficult as our dog is a large lab & we have a one year old who would have loved the aquarium but didn't get to experience. Personally I would have loved this place more if it were a little more "dog friendly" in the sense we could have explored town by leaving our pup. Another note, we were not allowed to use the private lawn for potty breaks, thankfully right across the street there was a small patch that worked just fine. Would definitely stay here again if we had a little more leniency in leaving our pup for short breaks from people & beach.

The hot tub water was very dirty when we arrived- chemicals smelled off and the water was greenish grey. However, once we told Bonnie, she had a guy there to change the water and sanitize it within an hour, so not dinging her ratings for that. Water was crystal clear/smelled great after cleaning/changing it. Everything else was great- plenty of things for the kids to do, quiet area, fenced in backyard, and very close to Pacific City.

Our stay at Sandra's house in Rockaway was wonderful. The house was clean and very well stocked (we kept being pleasantly surprised at how many "extras" we found, from all of the kids toys and books, to board games, to s'mores fixin's and even a sound machine in one of the bedrooms!). It definitely felt like a home away from home and you can tell that Sandra puts a lot of care into hosting. The location was perfect too - close to the beach, close to playgrounds and right across the street from the main strip. We didn't have to drive anywhere during our 3-day stay. Even though the house was located in the middle of it all, it was nice and quiet inside. My kids loved that the train went right by the house and they could wave to the passengers from the front yard! Sandra was a very helpful and welcoming host. If our travels bring us back to Rockaway, we would definitely stay here again!

Good size house close to the mill for work and close to town. It was clean and well taken care of. great parking

We fully enjoyed our stay at Serendipity. It easily accommodated 7 adults and one dog. We were pleasantly surprised the well appointed kitchen contained every utensil and appliance we needed to serve a holiday meal. The large living room has separate tv area and conversation area. Also there is a lovely corner with a game table, in our case perfect for a jigsaw puzzle. And the playable upright piano delighted the musicians in our group. The bedrooms are roomy enough and beds fairly comfortable. Two full bathrooms, clean with plenty of towels. Heading outside it's mere steps to shops and restaurants, and and an easy walk down the street to the beach. The home feels lived in but not shabby. We found it quite homey and comfortable. Check in was easy and Kim is a friendly, responsive host. Our one regret is winter chill prevented us from enjoying the awesome tiered private deck. Ah well, next time!

We had a wonderful time, the beach access is unmatched, endless entertainment for the kids. Compared to most airbnb’s, very clean, comfortable beds, and also appreciated the amenities. Host was nice enough to accommodate check in time too. Would definitely stay again in the future, highly recommend!

Beautiful home in a great location for us. The house and back yard were great for our 4yo daughter. Very helpful and responsive hosts.

This place was beautiful and close to the beach. Lots of games to play if the weather is rainy. Just a short drive to short sand beach and the tide pools by haystack rock.

This place is amazing! It was just two of us on this trip so we had more room than we needed but felt like it was the perfect place for our visit to the Astoria area. We are already thinking about who to bring with us next time and will definitely stay here again if it is available. Nate was very responsive and checked in regularly to see if there was anything we needed. We will recommend this to friends and family traveling to the area and will be back again in the future. If it was possible, I’d give this 6 Stars!

This home was within easy walking distance of the historical town, which was perfect for wondering down for dinner or a glass of wine at the many tasting rooms. The house was extremely clean, beautifully furnished, well stocked kitchen which made cooking easy and the bedrooms were private and comfortable. Karl was very friendly and responsive too. Would highly recommend.

My Dad and I really enjoyed our stay at Jim’s place! It is well appointed and we really like how it’s decorated. It has an amazing view overlooking the river! We have family in the area and we travel out there often. We would love to stay here again!
