The stay with Siobhan was superb. From our arrival until we left, we were shown excellent hospitality. The apartment was spotlessly clean, and the fridge and cupboards stocked with a number of essentials which really added to the visit. Siobhan went out of the way to provide enhancements to our stay, and the apartment is fully recommended.

Staying at the Bog Man's Rest was a wonderful experience. Brian was away during my stay, but his Dad, Paddy, who runs the pub next door, was a friendly and helpful host, helping with questions on how to lock the AirBnB door, answering questions about Irish culture, and pouring the best pints of Guinness I've ever had. The bed was quite comfortable, the water heater was easy to use, and the surrounding countryside was beautiful. If you're looking for a home base in Co. Kildare and want to experience a living, breathing, family-owned pub and grocer loved by the community, stay here! One note - I think the accommodations are sized for an individual or couple (or maybe with one small child). The guest house is grand, but it might be tight for a family, and I only say that as I would stay with my family if we could fit (I was by myself). You won't go wrong here! Plus, Kildare town is only a 10 min drive away, so you're near the old historical town, shops, and more.

Communication from Deirdre prior to our arrival was great, ensuring we had all the information required to locate and enter the property. It had all the essentials we required for making tea/coffee and daily breakfasts, along with a gift basket of biscuits, which was very thoughtful, and the choice of toiletries provided were appreciated. We loved the quiet and peaceful rural location and it was ideally situated for us as we were meeting friends and taking part in an event nearby in Athy, which was only a 15 minute drive away. Excellent cabin & super host. Ideal accommodation for attending wedding in Rathsallagh. Would highly recommend.
