House vacation rentals in Appledore

If I had an issue or question the phone numbers provided were very responsive. Lovely house. Big and spacious. Great views from ours. Nice warm temperature inside. The hot tub might not be hot on the first day of book in though.

Great farmhouse for a family group with plenty of space. We had 3 young children in our group and they all had a great time taking advantage of the playground, games room and large pool. There is also a lovely beach nearby (Sandymouth) which was perfect for everyone with a large beach area, shallow sandy pools for the little ones and lots of rock pools to explore.

place was as described, access was a little tight, which is the only slight negative. Owners were brilliant, could not rate then high enough. Nothing was too much trouble for them. pool was warmish even though cool and windy outside, lovely and clean. I had use of the electric charger overnight to charge car up for journey home, cost was very reasonable. Was a great base for Saunton sands, Woolacombe and Croyde. 5 out of 5 for this place, 12 outfit 10 for the owners

The place was spotless and well maintained. Beautiful location with a route to walk/ trek nearby too. We had a great time during the stay.

Katherine and Tino’s place was just like the pictures but better. It had lots of little extras like children’s toys, books, high chair and cot making travelling with (slightly!) less clutter so much more helpful. They responded to all questions before and during the stay super quickly. The pool on site was an added bonus and booking system easy to use. Although there were quite a few houses, it seemed very quiet and private when we were there.

Great house in lovely location. Layout suited us well (2 families with kids and grandparents). Washing facilities proved very useful. Pool rota worked well and there was always a time available that suited us (open 8am-7pm). Host responded quickly. Lacking house guidance but not a problem and host responded to advise. Note access into house could be an issue for less able and push chairs-steep steps to front and lowest step broken away (advised host so this might get fixed). Rear access via steps and narrow sloping and muddy path. Parking to rear -you block in your other car. Parking spaces not spacious but adequate. We loved it thank you Beach Retreats!

Epic views and surroundings at The North Hill Cottages. The friendly host family has an amazing spot the perfectly situated property lifts you high above the world to a place of tranquil peace and beauty. The cottage was perfect for us and the property offered as much or as little as we wanted to do. The hosts were responsive and available, the other guests were respectable and friendly as well. Highly recommended!

Everything was as described. Neil was a great host and left a very generous welcome pack and a really useful folder of information. The house is in a good location, is spacious, and has amazing showers (although the high water pressure was less useful when our son drowned the kitchen as soon as we arrived!). The kitchen, although not that modern, is large and very well equipped. We didn't use the dining area much except for meals: it was a bit chilly (bring slippers for the tiled floor), there were no blinds on the windows, and WiFi didn't reach well into that room. In fact, it's worth bringing a collapsible table if you plan to use a laptop much in the house. The beds were all really comfortable but the curtains in most bedrooms are very light and thin so blackout blinds are advised. We stayed outside the swimming pool opening season but used the pool at Ruda down the road which was really fun. The pool table was great for an extra activity on rainy days. Overall, we'd recommend.

Well what can I say. Holly & Oliver are absolutely brilliant. Very kind and got back to me messages quickly. The house was absolutely spotless. probably the cleanest Air b&b ive stayed in. The house had absolutely everything you needed. And also very sweet gift in the fridge. We will be staying again, and have recommended the place to family and friends 🧡

Absolutely amazing find which we will definitely go back to. Great location and spotlessly clean. The design, from the layout, furnishings and items inside had clearly had a lot of thought and money put into them. Simon is super professional yet friendly, overall a great place, with a great host, in a lovely spot.

Great stay and communication, the place was very nice and we were able to happily take care of our little one whilst visiting family. Paul was quick to respond and very helpful, we would happily visit again in the future.

We had a fantastic few days. Enjoyed everything about this stay. Fantastic location, peaceful, great amenities and Mellinda was so helpful if we needed any questions answered. We will definitely be back!

Luke is a fabulous host! Not only is the cottage idyllic, peaceful and charming, but Luke left us some goodies for our arrival. These included a bottle of fizz, some delicious bread and eggs from the chickens he keeps on his small holding. There was loads of good recommendations for walks and activities within the cottage and Luke trod a wonderful balance between giving us our space and being there to offer advice and recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the countryside!

Georges house is a lovely bright and airy space with everything you need. The location is perfect - so close to lovely cafes, restaurants and shops. Lynton is a beautiful little town. George sent lots of helpful information re access and parking before our arrival and it was really easy to find the house and car parking close by.

We had the most wonderful week at Jon’s place and absolutely fell in love with it and the area!!! Jon communicated brilliantly with us throughout our stay and we felt help and advice was on hand if we needed it! Us and the dog settled in immediately and we felt it was like home from home from the start! The cottage is extremely spacious and very comfortable. Every bedroom has its own bathroom and the beds were extremely comfortable! Gorgeous gardens too! For me it was the kitchen! We didn’t want to eat out as we do enough of that in London so to have a fully kitted out kitchen was fantastic! They have thought about everything!!! It was so peaceful in the cottage - the dog hardly barked the whole week! I walked quite a bit and the stunning putsborough beach was a lovely walk (less than 10mins)or if I’d prefer less than 3 minute drive where the dog had endless hours of fun! It is dog friendly all year! I cannot recommend jons place enough! It was utter perfection!

Lovely accommodation with everything you need close by

We had a wonderful few days at Summercott, the cottage and surrounding grounds were lovely. Really nice to have dinner outside in the garden and our little cockapoo being able to wander around freely without fear of him running off! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay near to Saunton and Woolacombe!

Perfect accommodation in a fantastic location with great views over the Atlantic ocean. Watching the sea whilst enjoying a glass of wine in the hot tub, after a long day exploring this beautiful area was just perfect. The host, Sharon, checked in on us via a message to make sure everything was OK We visited Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Bude during our stay and this holiday was made all the better in that the sun shone down on us all week. 🌞🌞☀️☀️🥂👍👍

We had a relaxing and memorable stay at Fairytale cottage. We were able to walk through the woods to Watersmeet. Took trips to Lorna Doone Farm and Porlock Weir which were short trips by car. The cottage is carefully thought out and the furniture is antique. Loved looking at all the pictures. Beds are comfortable and the constant sound of the stream is relaxing. Thank you for sharing your lovekg cottage with us.

Will was an excellent host, everything was great am he replies to messages really quickly. Would highly recommend.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my family and it was perfect. The house was spacious, the garden was great for the dogs and it had everything you need for a toddler. It was super comfortable to chill after a walk down into the town/ beach. It wad perfect, we can’t wait to return.

Helen was so helpful! Her place is absolutely spotless. Well equipped for a family! Kitchen is fantastic, everything you need! Great garden area which is private and secure which was perfect for our pooch! This house is exceptionally clean. We will be back - Thank you Helen x

Raleigh cottage was wonderful - it’s a beautifully restored, well equipped thatched cottage surrounded by lush green woodland in rural north Devon. The setting was so tranquil that we stayed in at cottage a lot of the time instead of venturing out. In fact the setting was so picturesque and quiet we decided to stay an extra night! Myles and Sarah are delightful hosts, so helpful with great recommendations for local restaurants and sights for when we decided to explore. We can’t wait to come back to stay there again!

Lovely cottage set in a beautiful peaceful location. Really great spot to take the dog. Lots of walks and beach just down the very steep hill. A short drive to a lot of great north Devon attractions. Clear instructions given by the host and very clean inside the house. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet north Devon getaway
