My place is close to the high street of Steyning which is a quaint and historical town located on the edge of the south downs national park. It has an array of interesting independant shops catering for all tastes , it is on a direct bus link to Brighton and the south coast as well as walking distance to the countryside. The cottage is good for couples, solo adventurers, business people and furry friends ( pets ) . It is small but perfectly formed but beware of the low ceilings and doorways.

Guests can enjoy beautiful walks directly from the cottage or visit local villages such as Haslemere, Midhurst, Petworth, Arundel, the South Coast (West Wittering) and Goodwood. You will be spoilt for choices with some excellent pubs and restaurants in the area with the fabulous Duke of Cumberland pub a short walk away.

Nestled in the rural village of Fittleworth, Wishing Well Cottage is the perfect getaway right in the heart of the South Downs National Park. The cottage is newly renovated with many of it's beautiful original features restored. Snuggle up in front of the log fire with a hot chocolate or sit in the large private garden with both covered and open air seating areas, where you can toast marshmallows on the fire pit or sip a glass of wine. A walkers paradise, it is surrounded by natural beauty.

The Cottage at Grittenham Farm is a beautifully restored 17th Century milking parlour. It contains a lovely open-plan living room and kitchenette area, a stylish double bedroom and a luxury bathroom. Gorgeous gardens to relax in. Situated at the foot of the South Downs, perfect for lovely walks. The River Rother is 10 minutes on foot and offers magical wild swimming. Close by are picturesque towns of Petworth, Midhurst & Arundel, while the beaches of the South Coast are a 30 minute drive.

Our hideaway offers the perfect getaway. Soak up the peace and quiet, take in the amazing view and relax surrounded by ancient woodland, only 50 miles from London. Situated in the grounds of our Victorian family home, the newly converted 'Garden Rooms' occupy a separate self-contained building, furnished to a high standard, and perfect for coupes wishing to enjoy walking, cycling & sailing in the South Downs National Park. The annex has its own driveway and self check-in is via a key box. The Garden Rooms are located in the pretty downland village of West Ashling. There are three local pubs & a restaurant, all within walking distance.

A Hidden Gem on the Edge of The South Downs

Enjoy a relaxed stay in the former home of Sir Norman Wisdom who lived here from 1958 to 76. It also belonged to Anne of Cleves, wife of Henry VIII. Located in the beautiful village of West Chiltington, on the edge of the South Downs national park, and just 15 miles from the coast, this 1 bedroom, self-contained annexe is a beautiful little cottage. It's ideally placed for walking holidays and is a popular base for all the Goodwood festivals.
