This beautifully updated traditional stone house exceeded our expectations in pretty much every way! It is quaint but with everything we needed for our 3-night stay, including good heat (which we used due to the chilly weather). We gave all 5s except one 4 because the house is right next to the road. The 18" thick walls in the house keep the noise to a minimum and the road is not busy at all, so no big deal. The host prepared a super-helpful booklet of nearby sights and restaurants that we referred to regularly (in both Portuguese and English). We can't recommend this place highly enough!

We had a fantastic stay here. Lovely cottage, full of Portugese character and very comfortable. It was great to have the courtyard and fully fenced garden that our dog could safely explore. Idea location for enjoying the local area.

Casa amorosa, perfect for families of 2 adults and 2 children. Very clean and with everything we needed. Mr. João and his wife were welcoming and available for whatever was necessary, with in-person check-in. Calm and beautiful area. It was great for recharging batteries.
