My place is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Alpena. There are a variety of restaurants and bars all within 1/4 mile. Lake Huron is my front yard, with tennis and basketball courts available for public use. The Alpena bandshell is a hop and skip from my house; every Saturday there’s a concert in the summer. There are two public beaches within a mile. And you can see masts from sailboats out my front window as the boat harbor is my neighbor.

A premium spot in downtown Alpena. The center of downtown is two blocks down the road at 2nd Avenue and Chisholm St. We are located in a premium spot to find dinner, entertainment, shopping and most importantly nightlife. The space is located above a bar. So...it can be a little noisy for some. But if you are ok with some noise or don't normally turn in until later in the evening, we are for you. This place was the perfect spot for our short stay in Alpena. Everything looked exactly like the photos. The house was very clean, and we felt super comfortable here. No regrets!

This was such a fun spot. We really enjoyed our stay. The little white church was even more spacious and beautiful than the photos suggested. No complaints during our stay. The location was perfect, we had such a lovely visit. Thank you for the hospitality!!

super clean place to stay. pet friendly but you wouldn’t be able to tell that other animals had been in the place. let me check in 3 hours earlier. would recommend staying here.

The house is comfortable and inviting, the bed we slept in was comfortable. There are plenty of towels and blankets. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to cook in. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and watching birds from the deck, along the driveway, and on the nearby trail. The house is located not far from Alpena, which is fun to visit, and there are many parks and beaches nearby. It was nice to drive north as well, and to explore the Presque Isle area. We saw beautiful wildflowers and had gorgeous beaches to ourselves. (We visited in May.) we had a wonderful stay.

A large pool area is surrounded by a charming two-story home with blue siding. A shaded seating area is provided by a canopy, and multiple lounge chairs invite relaxation. The backyard is designed for outdoor enjoyment with well-maintained greenery and decorative elements.

This is a great location to downtown Alpena but in a quiet space. The restaurant was closed while we were there so we didn’t have too much noise. No complaints!

Location location location!!!! For the price, you can’t beat it. My wife and I walked to everywhere we wanted to go, no need to drive to find a place to eat or shop. The place was clean, and Chad had everything set up the way we expected. This place is highly recommended, no doubt about that. Thank you again Chad!!!

Margie and Chris were excellent hosts. The communication was great throughout. Clearly, things were thought through to make the guest experience as good as possible; extra pillows, blankets, toilet paper, paper towel, etc. They left pamphlets for the area sights to see, which was very helpful. The weather was hot the first night and cold the last night of my stay and Margie ensured that I was comfortable both nights - and even offered to bring over an extra heater on the cold night. It was a private, quiet place to spend some time, but there is also a lot to do around the area within reasonable driving distance - Connie’s Cafe, which is only 7 minutes away, is a must visit. There is also Dinosaur Gardens right across the street which was pretty cool. The sinkholes and Presque Isle lighthouses are about a 45 minute drive away but are worth the trip if you like scenic drives, lighthouses, nature and plenty of Lake Huron views. All in all, this was a five star stay. Thanks, Margie!

The place is very nice and comfortable. I felt like home away from home. Close and convenient to local restaurants. Chris was helpful and responded in a timely manner. If I am back in town for an extended time this will be my choice of stay.
