Vacation rentals with lake access in Alpena County

The photos do not do the property justice. It was extremely beautiful and peaceful and perfect for our group. The nature at night was amazing. I just wish we could have stayed for more than just a couple hours. Easy to find, accurate description, lovely place.

Best way to describe this stay was PERFECT, lake Huron is in the backyard crystal clear water private sandy beach my kids had fun for hours, not to mention they loved the lawn games and the peaceful bon fire on the beach, Jennie was a great host and is very accommodating quick to answer with any questions 5 mins or else, the home itself was more than what i could have expected super clean super spacious my wife loved the kitchen she felt right at home the house was overstocked and organized like something out of a magazine but better than the magazine! Oh and everything is within a 5 -10 minute drive food, shopping, groceries, i could go on and on this was great memory for me and family can’t wait to check out their other properties this summer !

Jennifer's place was great for our long weekend of fishing. The house was clean, upscale, spacious and a great view of Long Lake. As a host myself, I am picky about how a place looks, how user friendly it is, amenities, how well does the home fit a family's needs for cooking meals, sleeping arrangements, dining for larger groups, etc. This place checks all the boxes! Thanks again Jennifer and we plan to see you next fall!

Great place and super host! We’ve stayed here a few times now and it’s always enjoyable.

Mary’s place was so peaceful and relaxing. I took a daily dip in Lake Huron which was literally in the back yard. The house has all the amenities needed to stay for a few days or a few weeks. It was so beautiful there, I didn’t want to leave. Mary was very responsive and incredibly pleasant to do business with!

The peace and quiet of Beaver Lake exceeded our expectations. Awesome place to get away for a weekend. The house had more than enough space and everything was in perfect order. Would not hesitate to recommend this spot for an up-north getaway!

Jade was a great host. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed. She even had some canned, boxed and other sealed items. The bed, pillows and bedding were very comfortable. All the supplies needed in a well-lit bathroom, including Ibuprofen! The grounds were lovely with lake reflecting the beautiful fall colors. I had a doe, and her fawn come up to the front yard every morning, which was cool. I would suggest making sure all of the front porch lights work. I arrived late and the extra lighting would have been helpful. Having blue refactors to indicate where the driveway was would have been helpful as well, because of all of the leaves and no overhead lighting. I would stay at her place again and would recommend it to friends or family!! :-)

Really loved our time at this cabin overall! The location is gorgeous - the views from the back patio, the hot tub, the fire pit, and the indoor spaces are absolutely stunning. You can see so much of the lake, and of the beautiful surrounding land. The cabin is also lovely. It had lots of little touches to make it feel more comfortable, cozy, and ready to settle right in! There are a few things I wish were more clear in the listing. For example, there are two bedrooms - one has a queen bed, and one has a trundle with two twins. The other queen is a pull-out couch right in the living room. Since the cabin is mostly just one large space, that room is open to all of the space. Also, the hot tub is on a low watt plug, so it took about 5 hours for it to warm up to the point of being comfortable in chilly weather. I wish it had warmed up more quickly, or been usable right when we arrived. Overall it was a really lovely trip and I would definitely recommend it to others!

This is my group's second time staying at Beth's place. Every other year me, my dad, and a couple friends drive up to Michigan to fish. The house is situated perfect for us. The dock makes it easy for us to keep the boats right there at the back door so we don't have to worry about anyone messing with our stuff. They've installed outlets out back, making it easy on us to charge the batteries. They even have a spot across the road to keep our trailers. Beth is always quick to respond. She and her husband and great hosts, and we never have to worry about anything. Everything is exactly as described which is why we knew booking this place would suit all of our needs. If you're wanting a great place to stay on long lake, this is it.

Cute little cottage on the river. Great location and close to Hubbard Lake. Amanda is a perfect host, great communication and very responsive.

The Oakapiney is hidden gem. Tom and Sue are awesome and were really great hosts. The place was perfect for our 2 year old. There’s a little play structure, and the lake is calm and shallow for a long ways out. There are also several beach toys available to use, which was a nice surprise. We enjoyed the woods around the cabins, the peace and quiet, sunrises, many beach walks, playing board games, and exploring the area. Highly recommend Presque Isle Farms Cidery, Austin Brothers Brewery, and Wandering Winds Farm. Alpena has a park with a splash pad and big playground, too. We can’t wait to come back again next summer!
