Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Algonquin Highlands

The farmhouse was exactly what we needed for a quick "meet in the middle" get-together with our kids that are now living in Ottawa and Toronto. Denise was an excellent host and the farmhouse has absolutely everything, really. It is the most well equipped Airbnb that we have stayed at. Denise was very accommodating as we had left the birthday cake behind and had to return well after our checkout to retrieve it. It was just too bad we only had the one night!

Ryan was a great host and the place was beautiful and located in a great location easy to find. We loved the place and would most definitely stay again if needed.

I can't thank Tracey enough when it came to booking her beautiful home. I made this booking last minute for family travelling last minute from the UK. Tracey answered all of my questions promptly and was more than accommodating. The family absolutely loved the house and some are planning to try and book in the future.

We had a wonderful stay here in Midland. The house is very clean and spacious and the master bedroom is a great space to unwind and relax. The house did not disappoint and I would book again for our next trip to Midland. Nicole is a great host, and excellent communicator and was very helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at Sylvia's place ! The accommodation was very comfortable, very spacious, well decorated and very clean. The place is very quiet and peaceful and you are surrounded by trees and meadows. We were able to reach all our destinations in Peterborough within 15 minutes. The house had all the amenities that we needed. We would stay there any time again.

The house was clean and tidy. Good location, easy to get everywhere we needed to go. Allowing us to bring our dog was awesome and there is a huge backyard and walking trails. So many thoughtful touches. And Marilyn was very responsive to anything we needed.

From the moment I opened the door I was in love with Alison's place! It was bright, warm and welcoming (not to mentioned beautifully decorated). There were too many amenities to mention and so many thoughtful touches. Alison was an excellent host, allowing me to check in early and always responding in a timely manner. Alison's place has definitely raised the bar for me when it comes to Airbnb stays. I would 100% recommend Alison....you will not be disappointed!

Our stay at Craig and Susan’s place was amazing! The cottage is beautiful and has everything you’d need. The kitchen was stocked, just bring your food and you’re set! The pool was warm and very enjoyable. The scenery was breathtaking and peaceful. Craig and Susan were very welcoming. They were amazing, kind and helpful hosts! The delicious welcome cookies and snacks were a beautiful touch. We will definitely be back!

This is a gem of a find - serene property, beautiful house and extremely client-centric host. Abdul was very accommodating in all of our request, and very responsive. The indoor pool was an epic addition to the weekend! Highly recommend this place!

We had a great stay at this cottage over the long weekend. The location is safe and quiet, surrounded by beautiful nature. The cottage is spacious, with a large common area perfect for relaxing. The house was clean and well-kept, and the host was very responsive and helpful. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely recommend it to others looking for a peaceful getaway.

Tristan’s unit was exactly as described, clean bathroom, spacious living room, lots of boardgames for entertainment. Nice boardwalk and views! Would love to be back again!

Davids place was beautiful and made for an enjoyable stay for our group visit. He was responsive and provided all additional details both in our chats as well as leaving a small booklet in the cottage itself highlighting places of interest nearby. The firepit and the gazebo are the most impressive parts of the property. Wifi coverage inside the cottage was fantastic and was very useful for any further research since the cellular network coverage is spotty at best. Bon Echo is just about a 20 minute drive away and there are more places within a 1 hour radius though we chose to mostly have a leisurely time on the property itself. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, private fun time in the middle of nature.

Words cannot describe how impressed we were with Laughing Moose. The minute I walked in the front door I felt I could live here for ever. The incredible views, the spacious kitchen the stylish little pieces of decor make this place comfortable, relaxing and luxury. Janice pays attention to every little detail to ensure we had a fabulous time! From the selection of quality glasses, crockery and cooking utensils to the games and puzzles ( we completed a full jig saw puzzle between us) we had everything we could possibly need and much more. Even a thoughtful and delicious blueberry pie to welcome us !! We were visiting from Australia and planned this weekend with our two sons and families for a getaway together. It couldn’t have been more perfect and we made such fabulous memories. So much space for all 8 of us plus the 2 dogs! I can’t thank you enough for this special visit! My husband, 3&1/2 year old daughter, two dogs and I just returned from the most incredible cottage stay in Bracebridge, Muskoka, and we’re already counting down the days until we can go back! The host, James, was truly exceptional - responsive, organized, and went above and beyond to make our stay feel like a home away from home. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the thoughtful touches and extra details that made our stay so special. The Christmas tree was beautifully decorated with different lighting options, and the abundance of board games and video games kept us entertained for hours, regardless of the weather outside. The hot tub was immaculately clean and the perfect spot to relax and unwind, and the home itself was spotless and tidy. It's clear that James takes great pride in his property and goes to great lengths to ensure guests have an unforgettable stay. I'm so grateful to have found this little slice of heaven in Muskoka! Highly recommend!

We had a great time at Yvonne's place over the holidays. The cottage is extremely cozy and homey, and the property is beautiful. It's a great view overlooking the lake, and with all the snow on the trees it was magical. The cottage was equipped with everything you need from cookware, board games, books, fire wood, streaming services and lots of extra blankets which we appreciated! We would love to visit here again and experience it in the summer months too. Yvonne was very responsive to our questions and needs, and is extremely friendly. I really liked the place and wished I had stayed more. I really wished the time and weather could have been much better in terms of driving to the place. The house was extremely cozy and it felt right at home. It's a bummer we couldn't leave Scarlet a review on her review notebook at the home coz our stay was quite shortlived due to extreme weather conditions and other situations. We were even grateful for the help our neighbors offered in clearing the snow. Besides, if I get a chance in the future to go and stay there for a few days, I would more than love to. South Bay Cottage is truly a perfect and lovely lake getaway. Drive off the main road and into your own private cove outfitted with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Once inside, the view of Lake Stoney can be seen through the large windows from anywhere in the main room. The sunsets and starry skies were so peaceful - and even though locals told us it was unusual - we actual had an amazing view of the Northern Lights! We loved that this cottage included all the linens we needed and lots of areas to get cozy and read a book - including the extra-special gazebo. While the kitchen area is small - it is well equipped with everything we needed. Close to great hikes (Petroglyph Provincial Park, High Falls at Eels Creek, Warsaw Caves, and many others.) Also great to explore the area's great golf courses, Wanderlight Alpaca walks (a must do), Peterborough Pete's hockey, Peterborough theatre, and amazing restaurants in Lakefield (Loon, Cassia, and more).
