Beachfront vacation rentals in Akumal

Our family loved our stay at this Gina and Andy's villa. Gina was very responsive from the time of booking until we left. She gave us great recommendations regarding transfer services and places to eat. Their housekeeper, Cerafina, was wonderful! We arranged for her to cook meals for us - breakfast and dinner - for multiple days. Her meals were amazing and very cost effective. This was one of our favorite parts of the trip! Our family of seven would all highly recommend having her cook for you! The house was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning is only in the bedrooms but works wonderfully. Great location and we saw beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We would definitely return!

Matt plus the staff at Zamá Homes did an amazing job communicating with my family and me, and making us feel right at home. The place is beautiful; the photos don’t do the place justice. It’s as pictured and better. The location is amazing; walking distance to all the major clubs, restaurants, etc. And the hosting staff, once again, made this place feel like we were staying at a resort not just any Airbnb. 100% would stay here again next time I’m in Playa Del Carmen.

We had a wonderful stay in Akumal. We were a group of 5 adults and 3 kids (infant, 3,6) and the place was well set up for our group. The beach was beautiful and so accessible right out the back door, the pool was perfect for the kids, and the outdoor space was so comfortable and inviting. The neighborhood was peaceful and relaxed. There was a portable crib available for the baby. We had chef Carlos come for a few breakfasts and dinners and the food was amazing-such a treat. We visited Akumal Natura Rescue, the Tulum ruins, and Yax-kin cenote, all wonderful and close by. Would highly recommend this place.

The condo was spacious, beautiful, and immaculate, as shown and described in the photos and listing. Juliana was very responsive every time I reached out. The water heater went out during our stay. I messaged Juliana and within 5 hours, the water heater was replaced and we had hot water again. The condo was stocked with everything we needed. In addition to the great condo, was the view and the fabulous pool. The pool was so large, that it never felt crowded. We will stay here again the next time we visit Playa del Carmen.

First, I would like to express my gratitude for the level of help Mac gave to, two very old, technically challenged travelers. It was dark and rainy, and we were travel weary. Mac stayed on the phone with us until we reached his amazing Airbnb. I have been renting beach houses for 15 years and this place by far was the most impressive place yet. We had several tours planned, and we truly did not want to leave paradise to explore Tulum, but we did. The area is not only historically and culturally rich, but has everything you can expect from a tropical beach environment. Thierry is a great host! Very responsive and able to assist in anything you need during your stay. His condo was perfect for our family vacation. We stayed here for a week and enjoyed the pool, the fabulous beach right out front and loved how walkable the area was; very safe, even at night. Taxis always waiting outside too if you need to go a little further. This location is perfect and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The beds were super comfortable and the condo was clean, quiet, and the AC was excellent when needing to cool off after being in the sun all day. We will be back! 😎

This house was a fantasy. Incredible attention to detail, interesting architecture and interiors and an extremely comfortable atmosphere inside and out. The views are sounds and friendly staff make this place even better. I will be booking again when I can.

Great location, the interior looks even better in person, and the inside of the apartment is quiet. Overall, this place is very well run!

Location, location, location. We have been to Playa numerous times and think we have found our new go to place to stay. Plenty of room for a family of 5. Close to anything you could want. Beach, restaurants, shopping. While the place could use some touch ups to make it look fresh/ new again, we were very happy with the condo. We will definitely be booking again.

El alojamiento tiene todo lo que se necesita para unas buenas vacaciones, si te gusta el golf, es el lugar perfecto. es recomendable tener un vehículo para major comodidad. pero el barrio cuenta con movilidad para poder ir hasta la playa. la piscina siempre limpia. Restaurant, y bares del hotel del complejo con precios diferenciados por estar alojados. Recomendable 100%. única sugerencia que haría ( para los que nos gusta dormir hasta tarde) es poner una cortinas más obscura en las ventana de los dormitorios. Todo perfecto, ubicación, seguridad, limpieza, atención de los anfitriones. Saludos pronto volveremos.

Such a beautiful location in North Akumal. There are two tiny houses on this lot, as stated in the description. It is waterfront, however, the ocean there is shallow and made of coral. If you want to go in you will need water shoes. As soon as you put on a mask and look in, you will see fish and live coral that you are killing as you step on it. If you are wearing sunblock you will be poisoning the reef as well. Most people do not know this. The only way to get to a deeper part is to walk very carefully or kayak there. The sandy beach where the turtles are (the next bay south) is very nice but is built up with hotels since 2020 and loads of tourists. There are some shops and restaurants along the one road. Yal-Ku cenote/lagoon is 5 min walking. The location is very relaxing and would be nice for a group to rent both cabins as they are right next to one another. I did not find the bed upstairs that comfortable and it was hard to use the ladder. The bed downstairs was very firm.

Tuvimos una estadía en el Loft super linda, la ubicación es excelente muy cerca de la 5ta Avenida y centro comercial. El ingreso al loft con código es genial, super cómodo. Si bien el Loft cuenta con todas las comidades que uno necesita, como crítica constructiva diría que deberían cambiar el colchón por uno más rígido o quizás más nuevo. Volveríamos sin dudarlo. This place was amazing. Modern, private, big and very relaxing. Our family loved it and we will definitely be coming back!

Patricia’s place at El Taj was wonderful. It was exactly as she described in the listing, even the warning about the fishing boats and lack of beach. All of the amenities provided were welcomed. The restaurant attached to El Taj served as a beach club for the guests. The food (optional) and service from them was top notch. The gym is in a neighboring building that is only a couple of blocks away. It is a very nice gym with fitness classes offered. El Taj also offers included water fitness classes twice a week, which were excellent and well-attended. Most nights it was a quiet location, but one the weekends some noise could be heard from the nearby beach club. It wasn’t enough to keep you awake though. Fifth avenue is just a couple of blocks away. Patricia was very responsive with any questions I asked. She responded within 10-15 minutes.

We absolutely loved our stay at this Airbnb! The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Playa del Carmen, just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, shops, and all the action on Quinta Avenida. Despite being so central, the space felt peaceful and private, which made it easy to relax and unwind. The unit itself was clean, stylish, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was communicative and helpful, making check-in and any questions throughout the trip a breeze. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or coming back to Playa, this is the perfect place to stay. Highly recommend and would absolutely book again!

This is one you don’t want to miss if you’re looking for ocean front in Tulum. And if you don’t take advantage of Eric and Paula who live in a casita next to house you’re crazy. Eric is an exceptional chef and cooked for us everyday. And you can’t go to a restaurant for anything near having him prepare fine dining. David was informative from the beginning and everything there was perfect. We will definitely be back again. Thanks again to David, Eric and Paula for making this a memorable vacation.

Fernando’s place is clean, central, and exactly like the photos. We loved the rooftop pool and massive hot tub; we went in early April and it was never crowded. The building was always staffed with concierge and we always felt safe. We travelled with an 18m toddler and while the Airbnb is not baby-proof, Fernando was able to accommodate a high chair and crib for a small fee. Having the washer and dryer in unit was very convenient. You can’t drink the tap water but fresh water is provided in those 5 gallon water containers. The kitchen is well stocked and even had a blender and kettle. We loved the supermarket named Selecto just a few steps away on 10th Avenue with fresh seafood, pastries, steaks, and lots more. Overall, we’d highly recommend this Airbnb to other travellers.

Our family loved our stay at this beautiful apartment. On the ground floor, surrounded by beauty, delightful walks to the beach and endless pools. Good food right within the complex, and an equipped kitchen to make eating in a breeze. Miguel was a friendly and helpful host, responsive to any concerns we had and informative about what we could do while staying in Playa del Carmen. Our kids 9 and 10 rated this home a 10/10

This condo and it's host Kelley deserve way more than a five star rating ! Beautiful accomodations and views. The six of us ( all retirees ) stayed the month of February 2025. Amazing restaurants and such friendly and helpful locals. The views from the condo are amazing, seeing cruise ships come in and leave Cozumel daily. We saw dolphins , stingrays and fish in the sea right from the pool. The condo was equipped with everything we needed to make us feel right ar home. We would highly recommend Nah Ha condominiums unit 101. Bill Strauch , one of 3 handsome guys traveling with the 3 wicked sisters !

Superb hosts, primo location. The three separate (and joined by a stairwell) apartments were very good for the family with young children especially, and they stayed on the ground floor due to strollers etc. For the couples without kids, we socîalized at restaurants since there was not really one central location to gather. The shared pool is not really a place to lounge but is super refreshing and the kids loved it!

Our extended family of ten stayed very comfortably in this lovely house. We enjoyed the space, the comfortable furniture, great snorkeling, and a lovely meal made by Jerry and Isabella. The house was as pictured, we found it peaceful, safe, and private. We loved sitting on the beach, and found the kitchen well supplied.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House is beautiful and well located just 1-1/2 blocks from beach and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants on 5th Av. Patricio communicated well and was very responsive to our needs. Thanks, Patricio.
